color is a long operation, you need to color the first 2 rows with each upper color, and the last 2 rows with each corresponding color

You have to make all four combinations, first is Red/Yellow. Use the whole grid for it. Top two rows are red, bottom two row are yellow.

color thing is a game killer, I quit.

If it's up to me the two will never meet. can't seem to finish games at the moment.
Could someone explain where's the clue for the colour-grid? And where's the clue for the math?

Clue for coloured grid comes from the up right left down birds puzzle. Math is 322+ is 3+2+2 is 7, 971 - is 9-7-1 is 1 etc

Thanks Dutchie.

waiting 4 arrie nl's walk-through.. haaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaa

For the math, do each operation with the numbers

The four digit code is on the fence in the second scene.

Jolly boy needs 2 sticks through the flag and a lever.

Red X from me; that color grid is bollocksed. I tried doubling up the colors but still wouldn't do anything. I've seen this type of thing before and can't understand why devs think this is a clever puzzle when you can't do it without a clue paper in the first place.

Chapter 20
The continuing story about Jolly Boy and his two friends James and Janice.

This is serious business.
The love between Jolly and his beautiful Jollygirl could bring peace.
James and Janice will do everything they can to help their friend.
But the challenge is difficult this time. The flag is lost for years already, and oh, so many problems ahead in this story.

“Let’s get to work, Jolly!” Janice picks up a suitcase.
Imagine, it holds the key to the gate …. but, after all their Jolly-experiences, they know better.
“There’s something below those heavy crates ...could we try to move them with that spear overthere?”
James pulls the spear out of the ground and takes the stone as well.
YES, that was a very good idea!
The middle crate won’t open yet, but they are hopeful they will find more tools.
“Look up”, Jolly says, “do you see the signs and the dots below them? Better write those down, James!”
James always has his notebook with him.
Janice walks up to the flowers near the gate ….”James, it’s red … green .. pink .. yellow, write that down too, please?”

They walk on to the small house and Jolly takes his binoculars.
“There! Up high we can use the signs and dots!” He is happy that this time he can work along side his two friends. Another colour clue appears.
“We can use it here on the wall”, … James puts the weight in the inventory.
When he turns around he finds another weight near the tree.
Janice walks around and picks up a spear and a spearhead.
“There’s a spot at the other side of the fence”, she says. Janice climbs over the fence, no problems for her! “A number: 2781. Perhaps it works on the stone?” Janice runs back a scene.
“Look, I found a coin …”
“Let’s drink some water first”, James is thirsty, but, when he goes to the tap he finds a key!
Oh, so exciting! Will it open the suitcase? And what will they find in it?

“A second coin!” They cry out. “I know! In the wall near the gate!” James is right. The lost flag is finally found. Jolly is moved by this discovery.
Such an encouraging beginning.
“We need another key to get into the house”, Janice takes a close look at the lock.
“No, that won’t work, it’s broken, we need something else here.”
“We’ll find it.” Jolly is optimistic.
“Let’s try that spearhead and use the stone on it?” And it works.
A sword is there.
“Is it strong enough to open the crate?” Janice asks.
Jolly picks up the sword and swings it around … KLING !!!!!
A hammer falls out.

“We need a bird clue and there’s some math on that house”, Jolly looks puzzled.
Janice loves math, but, this time she has no idea. “You know, I think we need some help here.”
James picks up his tin can-phone with rope and starts calling Dutchie.
And luckily for them, Dutchie picks up the tin can at her end!
“Hi, it’s so simple (it always is, Dutchie), add the numbers 3 + 2 + 2, the next ones minus, etc. Good luck!”
Oh, how awesome, this works! “Another hammer ??”
That’s a surprise ..

When they walk on, Jolly almost stumbles over a second spear.
James runs to the wall to pick up a third and they place the spears in the holes in front of the shed.
“They’re not really steady, are they .. let’s be careful.”
“Let’s use the hammers on the steel pipes in the back.”
James rolls up his sleeves and starts hammering.
BANG !! “Ouch!”, that’s a painful experience.
James rubs his wrist.
“Let me try the other hammer”, with a bit more selfcontrol Jolly continues on the pipe.
“The bird’s clue!” Janice runs back one scene and climbs up the house.
She comes back with a medieval scroll.
“Before we open it, let’s first do those flower colours up high on the wall.”
James found the spot for them. “R L L R R L ….” Jolly writes it down this time.

When they open the scroll, they stare in amazement at the clue.
What on earth is that? “A riddle?” James is hopeful.
He played every small-tool riddle there is and sits down with the scroll to study it. His wrist still hurts.
Jolly and Janice walk on to the next scene.
“Look Janice, here the flag should go …” Jolly looks upset.
“We’ll work it out, come on, let’s take this fourth spear! And look, what’s that clue up high on the wall?”
Janice is right, there’s still a lot that can be done.
“It’s the clue for how to place the spears”, Jolly is so very happy his friends are with him. They walk back to James and set the spears. One stick for the flag appears.

James shows them where he used the R/L clue, inside the shed. He found a lever in there.
“And the colour clue, James?” Yes, James used his tin can-phone again.
“I called the D’s and they could explain it to me. I can’t do it however, my wrist still hurts, and you need to change the colours four times! First two rows up red and yellow down, then the others in the same way!”
“I will do it”, Jolly says, “These are the colours of the national flags of both empires.”
That’s a good sign!
All this for a third weight. “We need one more!”

They walk back through all the scenes, looking for number four.
“The red lines on the wall can be done after we place the weights.”
But where is number four …..

“AAHH, now I understand!” James cries out.
“When I talked to Dazzley, she talked about a stone left of the gate! Look …”
And yes, two stones differ in size from the other stones.
And then the weights are set. The red lines are set as well.
And now Jolly completes the flag.
The flag is put on the stand and the lever is placed.
They are holding their breath when Jolly pulls down the lever.
Oh, so touching.
There Jollygirl is, smiles are all around.
The people of the empires are happy.

Good neighbourship is so very important.
Jolly-love saves the day !!

LOL, great walkthrough Arrie :)
