how do the pictures work for the left right number clue?

It's the items top left on the wall in the scene with the table and fireplace. Just count how many items left and right. Go from top to bottom.

What do we do with the paper from the word clue - 1,2 - 2,4 - 3,1 - 4,3 ? And what to do with the color rings thing in the bathroom ? Missing one marble and can't do the R/L piano thing yet ??

Doesn't matter - Watched the w/t - still don't get the number clue and the colour ring thing with books - but I'm out
