I used the axe on 2 lying trunks, tree in far right scene and on tree in scene with colored flowers for my last caterpillar
use knife on floor in doors scene for 3x3 number clue
Still missing one more green roach and one grasshopper
Duh! Missing one caterpillar too, they go top of small cave left scene
I clicked on link and closed the game. I won't restart, it is too much boring try and error...

So stuck - I have a knife - not sure if I've used it - the axe - used a few times - the shovel - Need 5 coloured square things for the puzzle in the right door - Need a key for the middle door - No clue for the 3X3 puzzle - Hotz said use knife in door scene on the floor, I've stabbed every area there - nothing - I'm sure I don't need anything else ???
POP - Found the spot for the knife - on the mound of the scene of doors - Now need 4 squares for the puzzle in the right door scene
Dozicowgurl, you'll get all squares from placing the green diamond, roaches and the grid I think
You need only four squares
Dozicowgurl, the knife is used twice, use it in first scene bottom left, you get hint for squares
I replayed to see,Last square you get from placing four insects in scene where you place the diamonds
Need key for middle door. Can't find place to put worms, diamonds, or green pine beetles.
Where is second spot for knife. used it in door scene.
Jenny you'll get the key in the end, worms go in tiny cave where you found an egg, knife is used in first scene bottom left for hint for squares
Great game, but hard to find the places for knife and shovel!!!

Axe comes from the flowers last right scene, hint from placing the eggs on nest
yes i tried the colors on the flowers, but there is no black
or maybe i have to find another egg!

Brett!! My last roach was in the scene of diamonds itself, otherwise one in waterfall scene under the grid
got 4 little green roach ? can't find a place to put them and a gree n and red button. Where is the hint for 3 arrows under number
