Chapter 28 in the making. So many already ..

I'll finish it the end of this week, too busy right now. :)

It was a loooooong week, I know ... but here it is.

Chapter 28
The continuing saga of Jolly Boy and his two friends James and Janice.

“Oh, look! What a beautiful hou ….” DANG, James stumbles over a shovel.
Looking up, he spots a fishing rod. “Janice, could you .. I can’t ..”
Janice shows a grin, yes, she’s used to this.
She climbs up and carefully takes the fish … SPLASH, Janice into the water!

So, there they are: wet and wounded. Now what!
“We have no choice, James, we have to search for more clues AND find Jolly!”
Yes, where is Jolly? The race is on!!

“Let’s go inside first. I can heal my wounds and you can put on some dry clothes.”
James comes up with a good idea here.
He lies down on the bed. “Ouch, a knife?? Who would put a knife below the pillow??”
“Dangerous here”, Janice walks in, dry clothes on.
They look around and note a number, a fishbowl, and some clickable places on the wall.
“That number … is it used up left here?” Janice wonders … “Yep, a paper!”
“Give me the knife, will you James? I want to cut the paper.”
“Cool”, James admires the result. “Let’s put it on the painting … let’s remember this!”
It’s time to move on.

“A basket, Janice.” James empties it. “A clue!”
“Yes, and colours on the boat. What do you think, from big to small?”
They try it upon the first house, and no, it’s the other way around.
“A second clue!”
Back to the second house, they look up for the left/right clue for the first house.
“A phone!”
Inside the second house they try the numbers on the wall on the phone, up left …
“A hook!”
Oh, this is so encouraging.
“Now, let’s set the correct colours on that circle-thingy”. Janice starts clicking.
“A birdy-coin!”
They use the paper-clue on the wall.
“Binoculars!”
“See those 4 squares on the wall? Our clues go there! More to find.”
James looks around. “Nothing here at the moment? Next scene!”

They use the shovel on the grass and find a paddle.
“Well, nothing el…” “JOHOOO!!!”
“JOLLY !!” They scream out together. O dear, his team is floating without paddles!
“We’re already working on it Jolly, hang on!”
Jolly is waving from the distance. He’s so glad to see his friends.

James and Janice put the hook on the rod and start fishing in front of the second house.
No, no boot or bycicle, but a real fish.
They let it swim in the bowl, and look carefully at the little bells … red all to the top, green a little bit, blue in the middle somewhere …
Outside, James tries to pull the boat to the shore with the paddle.
Yes, another birdy-coin!
Then Janice looks through the binoculars at the windmill.
“Write it down, James? It’s eh … S … H …X …. Z”
James always carries a notebook around.
They try the clue on the second house, but of course, here too, the other way around.
“A birdy-coin!”
Then they set the three colours on the house.
Well, time to read a book.

All four clues are here now.
And they get their 4th coin. Coins on the wall, and ….
Oh, this is a fantastic tool!
“Jolly!! Here it comes!!”
Hmm, somehow they manage to get the tool to Jolly.
Perhaps Janice swam to him. Getting wet again?
I don’t know, but Jolly shoots the line and pulls the boat to the shore!

So, this time again, all ends well.
They sit down and talk about the regatta.
It was an awesome race, despite of the fact that nobody helped them, nobody waited for them, nobody called for help, nobody stopped the race, or threw in a bottle with message into the river asking for help, but other than that ….. it was an epic regatta !!!!
