found SD on bookshelf
got a red key from cb (bottom drawer) after following directions inside it
opened gold box w/ color numbers

Yes, kevaus.
The words ‘海いいね’on the sky and birds paper
are clue for the panel (丑, 寅, 卯, 辰 etc・・・）.

Not getting the clock puzzle. Tried the
丑, 寅, 卯, 辰... that Yuki Yuki suggested and bruteforcing the 5th symbol but not working.
CLOCK puzzle?
Wait...do I have to insert a clock into the receptacle?
YES! It was a bug!!
There was no clock visible for me in that dark green thing with a rough-looking surface before!
It's the first time I can see an object in there.
So that's the solution how to activate the panel: you must insert the clock into the receptacle first, otherwise the buttons will be dead as a doornail!
What Yuki suggested in his/her 12:11 AM post is totally confusing - ignore it.
You had better read Yuki's 11:56 PM post further above, where it says
う み い い ね
That is, you actually have to start with 卯 ...
(the ones in the 12:11 AM post are not in correct order!!)
does it have to do with the watch showing 10:11 and 34 seconds? I see the symbols for 10:10 and 35 seconds.
