FirstEscapeGames - Abandoned Factory Escape 2 is another point and click escape game developed by First Escape Games. You have been locked in an abandoned factory from outside. arrange blue squares so that keyhole is in the center - but don't do it till you have the key!
iron ball is used in S4 (holes in background)
dot pattern is tricky - you get the pattern in a scroll, then put the rusted metal circle on the first dot - then move by clicking circle, then its destination - notice you miss the third dot at the top

hey you two...have opened hole in ground, but nothing happens. have rope but can't attach it.
hotz, where did you find iron ball?
hammer is used in S4 to get big 'nail',this nailis used after 4 gears in S6
and you too, leroy!
you can dig in S3 for iron ball (I think)

cate, there's a scroll behind an object in the last rm. - I think that led me to the ball
don't forget: if a hotspot is still clickable, there is still something to find/ to do
use hammer again to find a key form for melted metal (well hidden black barrel)

Can't seem to get the ball puzzle. Tried it several ways and it still will not work.

Nice game but RED X for the ball puzzle. A mess. I've tried about 6 times and nothing. What a shame. 1 star, my fault.
Casual, I think I did it like you indicated but no luck. Anyway, stopped playing. Annoying puzzle.

I lucked out and got the ball puzzle on the first try...not sure how. Bad clue for that one.
Walkthrough
Scene 1
Notice door, wood panel & puzzle of circles
Scene 2
Take gear #1 (just below up arrow)
Notice 3-letter puzzle & wall tiles
(NOTE: backing out of the 3-letter puzzle puts you in scene 3)
Scene 3
Notice metal box with a small fire
and a hotspot of dirt, bottom right of scene
Scene 4
Take gear #2
Notice a hotspot of metal shute, top left of scene,
4-number puzzle, puzzle of 3 handles, 2 wheels & a hotspot of lots of holes
Scene 5
Take metal box - click on it twice - take the rope & notice clue for 3 handles in scene 4
Notice 3-letter puzzle & 5-color puzzle
Scene 6
Move metal bin in bottom left corner for clue for holes in scene 4
Notice a hotspot on machine, a keyhole puzzle & a place for the gears
Go to scene 4, solve puzzle of 3 handles
Take a shovel & a hammer
Use hammer on overhead shute to get a stake for scene 6
Go to scene 3
Use shovel on dirt, take a metal ball
Go to scene 4
Zoom in on holes, place metal ball in top left hole.
Click on the ball and then the next hole as indicated in the clue. Continue to end, take gear #3
Go to scene 2
Use hammer on wall tiles - gives clue for 5 colors in scene 5
Go to scene 5
Solve 5-colors puzzle - gives 3-letter clue for Scene 2
Go to scene 2
Solve 3-letter puzzle - take gear #4
Go to scene 6
Place 4 gears - opens a hole to scene 7
Place metal stake to the right of the hole, use hammer, then add rope.
Go to scene 7
Take metal rod, pick axe & stone bucket
Notice hotspot on painted wall
Go to scene 1
Use pick axe on wood panel - gives 3-letter clue for scene 5
Go to scene 5
Solve 3-letter puzzle - take crowbar
Go to scene 6
Use crowbar on machine - gives clue for wheels in scene 4 & a wheel
Go to scene 4
Place wheel & solve puzzle - opens door
Use hammer on black oil drum - give a key mold
Take piece of metal - click on it for clue for circles in scene 1
Go to scene 1
Solve puzzle of circles - opens door
Take metal pipe & a trowel
Go to scene 7
Use trowel on wall - gives 4-number clue for scene 4
Go to scene 4
Solve 4-number puzzle - gives clue for keyhole puzzle in scene 6 & a piece of metal for scene 3
Go to scene 3
Place metal pipe on front of fire box, add metal rod, place stone bucket on fire.
Place metal piece in bucket, click on pipe & take stone bucket of molten.
Click on key mold, pour molten into it & take the key for scene 6.
Go to scene 6
Solve keyhole puzzle & use key - gives key for exit door in scene 1
Go to scene 1
Use key on door.
Ball puzzle was a ball buster. The clue wasn't clear enough, and it took more than a few attempts. Almost gave up entirely but gave it one more go and got it. Just saw that Casual screencapped the solution. D'oh!
