I can't even find the first key

...you need to place 2 special items in each room. One to reveal more objects. One to reveal the spaces to put objects. I found all the specials, except one...but was able to place all the remaining objects, by guesswork

There are faint traces of each special object showing where they should be placed. Well, most of them - I haven't found all of them yet.
