Never seen an 8-frog leap. It is easier to see and practice the strategy.
Nafanja
the same colour musn't touch itself in another shape
Nafanja... The idea is that no two regions that share a common edge can have the same color. (In this case, corners do not count towards adjacency.) Interestingly, one needs only four colors to be able to ensure that neighboring regions are uniquely colored.

While puzzle B could easily be brute-forced, I noticed an interesting optimization. We know that A and B must either sum to 10 on their own or must sum to 9, requiring a carry from the right-most digits. Note that the only pairs that sum to 10 (i.e. 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, 4+6 and 5+5) involve numbers that are either both odd or both even. However, we know that A+5 must sum to B (or 10+B assuming a carry). As such, A and B cannot have the same parity. Therefore, the solution must require that A and B sum to 9. Only one pair has a difference of 5 (i.e. 2+7), and there is only one permutation that results in a carry.
nice explanation Seraku - thx :-)
Nice explanation SEraku
BUT it can be brute forced
I'm getting really good at leap frog!
These games really challenge the brain cells (if you play them the "right" way and don't BF them).
Great hints Alpha and Seraku!
