Medieval Village Escape Walkthrough

Medieval Village Escape

MouseCity - Medieval Village Escape is another point and click escape game developed by Mouse City. A small Greek town, called Ironforge, has been thriving since the previous king was banished by the public. It’s polyhistors have managed to develop a special liquid. Good luck and have fun!

Question: Would you be interested in escape apps similiar to these games? For both android and iOS. My thought is to release bonus content (50+% extra gameplay) to encourage app downloads. Free and minimum ads. Would you download to play the extra content?

Update: Bug that you could escape right away is now fixed.

the hardest thing was to find all the (sneaky) locations & esp. to find puzzle again after seeing hint LOL - thx MC for an enjoyable game ☺
liked the music, only bummer it always cut off when leaving tab

Bugged. I picked up the first gem, hit the gate, and was out.

you're right Unknown, just click the green lock for a shortcut, if you don't want to play the game ;-P

Bug. Clicked on gate and it shows congratulation. Not a good one from mousecity :(

@Unknown
I didn't even pick up anything. Just click the locks and you are done.

I get the impression that Mouse City should leave the game design to Carmel. Those games I would d/l and play as apps!

My 2 cents for MC: In order to be worthwhile to d/l as an app, an escape game has to have a few key things going for it. It has to be suited for smaller touch screens (meaning you can't have pixel hunts), it has to be bright enough to see everything when played outdoors in the sunlight (screen glare), and it has to have enough content to make it worthwhile. One of the best thing about the Carmel games is that they have plots and characters with personality. They are shallow and one dimensional, but they are there and that makes a huge difference in game value. Not enough people are willing to sit through 90 seconds of ads to play a five minute game, especially if it is just a rehash of the same game they have played before (the same old puzzles, just with new graphics and a new name). If anything, apps should be bigger and better than the average online escape games. Otherwise, why would people want to d/l them as an app in the first place?

As long as I am chiming in, I also just want to say that I am not a fan of HTML5. It is probably only a personal thing, but it just feels "clunky" to me.

Anyhow, thanks for the games, and thanks for being an attentive and interactive developer with the people here who play your games. We appreciate that tremendously!

FIrst of all bug is FIXED. Thanks for reporting.

App: It would be less of ads (I'm thinking maybe 1 fullscreen, 1 before walkthrough and none during gameplay. And it would be free to play.

I realize gameplay might be a bit to small, but for those who didnt play original game. It would still be a nice 10 minute escape I assume. Graphics will be a bit brigther than this and heavier. Still not worth downloading?

Dialogs, sounds and so on makes it a lot more complex. All though you never know.

So where is the silver shield? Need some real hints here please?

Well I can't finish as I can't find that last shield. Been around a few times. Navigation is a pain in this game.

Silver shield - click just below door of house with two barrels on left and tree on right. Use axe on the crack there.

I preferred your past games. This one felt like all the other cookie-cutters: find something, place something, get something.....pixel hunting. 2 stars for the music.

Well. I think this was one of your EightGames? I agree to daisy, these are not my cup of tea.

For your d/l offer: Here I totally with Jonderson. Until now I don't have a tablet, just a notebook and a smartphone. Most of the escape games for the latter are not really fun as the screen is to small for exploring scenes. Don't know if the acceptance would be worth the effort.

great
Agree with AO
Best yey
No freezing
No issues
Easily loaded

Not bad but a bit of a pixel hunt.

I have a 7" Android tablet on which I download and play escape games. The inherent problem with escape games is that most people will play them just once or perhaps a couple of times -- they're not something many people will keep installed to play over and over again.

As far as extra content to encourage mobile downloads, I'm sure I'd give them a try on my tablet. But if you have confidence in the quality of your games, you might think about including the content on all platforms.

Take two of my favorite developers: Mild Escape and Neat Escape. They have identical content between mobile and web, yet I still play them on my tablet because the games are such great quality, and there are times when I want to play and don't have my laptop handy. I always take the time to provide positive reviews for games that I enjoy, and I've even been contacted by one or two people to talk about which developers I like.

TL;DR
Provide great-quality content, and you'll get downloads whether or not there's "extra". But that may just be me -- sometimes the world doesn't act the way I think it should. ;)

Screen with cemetery has multiple zoom hot spots. Click on the zoomed shots too.

FYI--I might download such a game if it weren't so pixely as to make it really hard to play on a phone. This particular game was a bit frustrating.

Somehow different. I really had fun. 4 stars
