An Eight Game. I know I might regret it but I'll give it a try. Let's see how long.

hi (again) ev1

stuff to collect is pretty hard to see...

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 2:53 AM

unfortunately tab works only to find puzzles & hints & not the items... :-/

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 2:56 AM

ah, they've put map again - good

don't miss down arrow in start scene

Hi. I'm still collecting items. Thought I'd do this first to get things neat. I've already got three gazillions ot them!

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 2:57 AM

phew, thankfully game is not buggy!

place blue colour paper as first

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:00 AM

take note of number & its colours on 5 coin safes for

5 colour code

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:02 AM

I have another game open, in case you wanna know where stuff is (will hopefully find it again LOL)

Ok..so 5am again...

Okay, after first round:

16 square-shaped solving pieces (which would be a nice 4x4 grid)
5 image pieces
3 statues
4 cake piece-shaped solving pieces
a knife
2 blue gems
a water bottle
3 orange buttons
3 colour pieces

If you go up on the map, there's an arrow clue in the second room for the first room. This gives a strange clue paper.

There are some wall doors with single coloured numbers (0 - 9), easy to bf them

And I just realized the first round wasn't complete, I have to go down too. ;-)

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:07 AM

I opened VWT just because of my curiosity to know how long it is - 12:19, so be prepared ☻

it doesn't help anyway much to find stuff...

In the room down and right you can zoom into the curtain (bottom), there you can place some statue stand and surely the statues after they're complete.

If you have collected all square solving pieces (20 or so) they go to the chess puzzle above the right door.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:11 AM

use orange rug on bed stool in room before balcony

but it's not for the 5 symbols - there neither numbers in book, nor numbers on coins work on them (in combo with the paper with same symbols & numbers, after using flash on it)

it's really hard for me to make some senseful comments for this game LOL

The solved chess puzzle I mentioned should have been the clue for another chess puzzle to the room down. I changed the figures according to the clue with nothing showing up.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:17 AM

4 statue stands & statues gave a wheel for gems
(red was on a red chair ☻), but I zoomed out & can't find it anymore in same room - let's see in the other rooms...

argh, robot c.r.@.p. thingy slows my posting & playing so much down again.... %&£$*ç%&!!!

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:20 AM

ah gem wheel is in 2nd room up from start

Did you see the number hint on the back pillar in the room above start? Maybe this goes to the torch hint.

It does! Another two gems.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:24 AM

in combo with colour papers, 5 numbers d/w neither from book, nor from coins... :-/

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:26 AM

oh, found a knife on striped chair in 1st room right of start

8G, how about to number rooms on map?
that would be really helpful not to type mile-long descriptions of the rooms...

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:31 AM

cut wall above TV in room left of start for another 2 gems

Hi, red square/tile was on sofa below picture with chess figures

Use the knife in the room with the statue stands, right side of the curtain. Another chess piece.

Alpha, let me sort out those codes. The drawers gave coloured numbers and the coins the order. Use this in the 2nd upper room below the switches.

For the puzzle in the statue room (where you place the statues and use the knife) there's a kind of pattern puzzle. Combine the number clue from the pillar (as I wrote above) with the book and the torch.

By the way: Could you tell me more clearly where you found that gem wheel? TY

5 numbers in book gives order, how to put 5 coins in barrel. barrel is in safe with 2 keys in 'start' scene

There's also a colour clue when you switch on the lamp in the room where you used the orange cloth (bedroom to the left)

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:34 AM

merit
I got a scroll with circle numbers from chess puzzle

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:36 AM

merit
gem wheel in 2nd room UP from start

In the same room there's a cake piece underneath the pillow, just to mention.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:40 AM

check in-between

have 7 solving pieces, water bottle (not used), assembled colour papers (not used), knife (used) & scroll with circle numbers 1-9 (not used)

AO, this scroll with numbers is for floor in scene with exit door

water bottle is used on 5 colored squares/tiles in your inventory

knife is used 2 times (I think): on wall in bottom right room and on wall above TV 1 scene left of 'start'

This should be the room with the strange colour switches? I can't find a gem wheel there! :-o

Thanks Hotz, that 2nd use of knife gave me my last solving piece. I seem to be a bit behind ev1 else though.:(

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:49 AM

merit
you have to place the 4 statues first on holders

Thanks for the water hint, Hotz.

I've checked my chess puzzle again and again. No clue from there.

Oh, I've only got two stands, missing one more. Looking for that now.

I have placed 8 gems on gem wheel, but I can't do anything. any idea?

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:51 AM

ah, end on map is not the right end, :-/

it's in hall 1 room up from start!

45 minutes in I have 4 bottons, 7 gems, and missing the middle bit of the statue stand and a clue for the 5 shape puzzle in the same room...I might have to call it a night. (3 hotspot helps and no looking at clues yet).

No Hotz, I don't have the wheel but my knife has gone.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:53 AM

these gems are so tiny - a real challenge for my eyes...

Meritneith, IIRC two stands came from solving a puzzle, i.e. not in plain sight.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:54 AM

my gems are moving Hotz

you may refresh & resume the game (recalling the G4K from yesterday LOL

Hotz, I have 8 gems too. I'm hoping if I can work out the solving puzzle, it will give me something to put in the centre of the gems wheel.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 3:57 AM

solving puzzle is trial & error

Got the robot thing now as well. Grrr.

I've found the stand things by putting eight pieces in the upmost room to the left of the picture (what is this for, by the way? Bad if I needed the knife which is gone for the gem wheel there).

Oh, also missing 3 bits of the puzzle in the room 2 up from start.

Solving puzzle:

spoilernespoilersspoilernwspoilersespoilernspoilerswspoilerespoilerw

No idea why. Gives a gem.

And there's the gem wheel! Hooray and thank you all!

nope AO, refreshing doesn't help. how many gems should I find? I have 8 gems

Oh, I placed my "ninth" gem, but I still have only eight.

That's OK, it moves anyway.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 4:03 AM

wheel puzzle wasn't that very hard for me - luckily!

always move the left gem of the position where you placed the previous one
(hope my explanation is clear)

Gem wheel tedious but straightforward.

Hm. I have 8 cake pieces now but no place where to put them in.

And still the chess puzzle won't give me anything. If this is a bug I'll throw my notebook out of the window.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 4:05 AM

8 gems are enough Hotz

oh alas, again a bug at the end it seems... :-(

I'm using the flashlight and paper to see the images, but I guess I need a clue on which numbers to use? Any hints?

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 4:07 AM

did you already try to refresh & resume, merit?

And I have only 7 gems but that's not my biggest problem now.

I will try now, if there's no autosave I'll get mad.

Meritneith. Wheel for placing the cake pieces comes from solving the floor grid one up from start. Hint for order came from a scroll i think.

I AM SO UPSET! REFRESHED AND NO RESUMING.

80 minutes played for nothing. I know why I hesitated to play this game. Thanks for your help and patience, guys.

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 4:11 AM

I kept my thanks till the end to not to make not useful comments LOL - hence

thx ppl for all your help, esp. merit & Hotz ☺

& thx 8G for your game, that was not buggy for me fortunately

a bug at the end of a game again?
so sad, it was a good game until this point... :(

       Anonymous  8/29/16, 4:13 AM

that's odd merit - I had a resume button... (refreshed even 2 times)
you have my sympathy & Hotz, too, that you can't finish the game...

This comment has been removed by the author.

No resume button for me, maybe due to the cache settings? I don't know.

Nigel, you still here? I think the number you want is on back pillar one scene up from start.

Spent way too much time on this game to have one of my colored tiles disappear. Ugh.

Yet another bugged Eight Games offering. EG, please have your games play-tested before making them available to us.

i'm so angry i can't figure out the correct sequence for the piece of paper that has the numbers and symbols on it. can anyone help out here?
