I wish I could make sense of these symbol and letter equations, but I never can :( I found the paper that says what each symbol and letter stands for, but the equations never make any sense to me. It's too bad - these games are nearly always unplayable for one reason or another.
ReplyDelete@elkwhale, GamesBold has been using the same clue for nearly all games. In the second room, there the following clue:

This uses a mixture of symbols, so let's convert it to letters:
A-B-C = AxBxC, A+B+C, A+B, C-B
The "equation" involves computing the specifies quantities and then concatenating the results together into a single string of characters.
Using the example in scene two:
(-$-& = 9-4-7 = 9x4x7, 9+4+7, 9+4, 7-4 = 252, 20, 13, 3 = 25220133 = @%@@)!##

ReplyDeleteI'm at 43/45 and am missing two of the six holly decorations that go in scenes one and four. I guess they may be hidden behind the inventory, so now comes the time for blind clicking. /:

ReplyDeleteIn case you get to read this and it helps... there is 1 sneaky plant decoration behind inventory, can be seen on lower edge, left side, in Room 2.
The other sneaky holly plant is under the inventory in Room 1...you can just see a tiny bit of it
ReplyDeleteFor ppl who haven't played these games enough before, the codes are used for a final equation found in room 7 (wooden panel on right side of room, right of opened door and besides the sofa). Once you enter the code the positions where the items go will be revealed. So don't waist your time "blindly looking" for spots where to put your items... (like I did LOL) look for the equation and all shall be revealed! :)

Just played again and noticed, in order to enter the code (for the wooden panel to show up and hence be able to see the equation and answer it) you need to read the codes/clues in each room in order. I went straight to Room 7 to enter the answer, but panel didn't show up; so I went back and looked at clues/codes, from pages 7 to 1... still didn't work, Then I did it in order and by the time I got to Room 7 again, there it was!
