Devil is red (x) middle square is blue and the demons triangle nose is yellow

Trying to use the code from the gate on the hanging cloths by the devils's house but it's not working.
I got the yellow triangle nose, but the others were too obscure.
maybe that got the demon to step aside
The shell on the pond moves the devil to the right so you can open the door. Haven't found the key yet.
clodagh, go to start scene you'll find red X on the sign, and take middle color square
yellow lines and hanging cloths for the picture.
Thought the branches on the tree were the clue for the picture but not so much
move one of the signs by the demon

go to starting scene and look at the order of each line,click in same position in picture

I need a w/t. I'm lost. I have mask, shell, devil escape man and paper clue. Can't figure out the grid yet, and no other puzzles open to me yet. 5 escape men.
The picture in the house has four corners. I can't figure out how 5584855 can possibly relate to it. Or is there some puzzle that these numbers are for that I haven't found yet. I also have not done the grid. The hints here are great, but not helping me. :(

How do I get the devil that's standing in front of the number box in new room (the one you need the shell to open?)
Also, I have the clue for the grid but neither seems to work, what am I missing? Aruuugh

Lots of fun! A bit challenging, but these are always a bit tough. Love these No 1 Games!
Just to clarify, the mask and shell are not actually "put in the pond"; the pond acts as a mirror. You are putting the mask and shell on *yourself*, it's your demon disguise - that's why the demons let you by when you show up wearing them. ;)

I forgot you could go down to the first scene. I thought people were talking about the branches on the trees.

paper clue is for money chest. Count drumsticks, fish and bottles. Don't forget the extra fish on fire.
