Jon, this paper is the clue for 4 letters in first scene (it is not a mouse)

I had to peek at the walkthrough for the 5 buttons. I still don't understand the clue, or perhaps the clue is wrong. It seems to me two letters are transposed.

Don't miss the magnifier in the opening scene under a rock use it on log inside left after you place the cannon ball. Gives hint for last scene grid by door.

What to do with wheel?

I have a board with symbols on it but not sure what it is for?

I still have the wheel too.

Got it. Number of lines in symbols.
