Trowel ('pan') doesn't seem to work anywhere.

pick up the gem by the steak and use brush on it for code. use swiss army knife on carpet marks for a key. Brush was under a chair in the first room

Pencil in room left of pool table - upper left and very close to direction bar.
Red pencil writes in book
"word" from book hint is used on a drawer in the bedroom (bureau next to vanity)
Use clip on box from flower drawer for a key.
Use key on other bureau in bedroom where you can see the bedpost for plunger.
Green key doesn't work in guitar room
Green key work on set of drawers beside dressing table with flowers.
Hint on cleaned glass is for 2-digit drawer. Gives hammer.
Go back to bureau where you used flower hint and use green key there. What glass did you clean?
Use hammer on piggy bank for gold exit key. Out. Really liked this game. Ty JE : )
@ Zoe: don't you have dirty glass in inventory? Trying to remember where I got it...
I found a teeny little dirty glass on the little table in the bedroom...cleaned it and now trying to figure out what the hint means

the flower in the book has 6 petals but doesn't fit in hint

Also need plunger, pencil an the method how to clean the little glass.
Bee Have: use the word "flower" for one of the drawers in the bedroom. The number of petals is used on the other drawer in the same room.
completely missed the room left of the billard room. Got piggy an clip now, need pencil and hammer.
whole lot of progress: got cleaned glass now, try to interpret that clue.
got it: 12 petals give hammer, used on piggy gives yellow key
and one more room left, voila, the exit door where this key fits - OUT!
