there are stars on the clock & start on one of the boxes
how are roman numerals generally written with?

Solved books, clock/stars, and the glasses. Got two keys and the screwdriver. Now I can't decipher the hint with lights off for wobbly picture.
And there's nothing else to do besides the box left of door which requires a card.
Finally! Pretend you're fix some tape stripes on the corners - those are the ones you have to push.
Obviously I've driven Alpha off. ;-)

Doh! Take a look at the card in your inventory when lights are out!

That was sneaky, I stared at the scenery and then I just saw a little bright pixel in the inventory. But when you know that it just stings into your eye.
Now i understand the earlier comment - what is the DIFFERENCE lights on and off ...... not just the number you see!
I stared at that comment too but it didn't help as I just focussed on the game screen. Very nasty but that makes games great.

Oh, it took some time until I realized that the little line between the bulbs is a minus sign.
Would someone please leave a HELPFUL comment on the wobbly picture order?

A little late, but:
Alliswan, when you click the corners of the picture it wobbles a specific direction. Use the clue to click the appropriate upper or lower corner to make it wobble as the clue appears.
I think it started with upper left...
