I think I need a hook to use the bucket, but I'm out of hotspots.
No - there isn't a hook. 4 items to use the bucket (including the bucket)
I used spindle, handle and rope.
Still have the bucket.

Can't figure out how to keep the door in the basement open. I probably need something to prop it up with, but the silver stick(?) doesn't work.
Used the stick on the chain instead....
Whew! Made it. Some nifty tricks in there.
The shovel is very useful....
It's either a different metal stick used on the chain or it's the smallest pixel ever!
Very clever) I sit with 2 sticks, a rope, a bucket. I can not connect or apply objects ..
not feeling very bright today--I can't see a chain
It's in the basement, over on the left with what looks like a ship's wheel. Turn the wheel until the door is all the way up, and then quickly insert the metal rod at the top of the chain.

Please tell me what to do with 2 sticks, a rope and a bucket? I do not have the key to the basement. I can not get a board from the well.
can´t find the handle of the shovel, please anyone tell me...
@Nafanja: put the 2 sticks on the well, then rope to the stick, then bucket to the rope. when bucket is down turn the stick to lift it, will give you key for basement.
I stuck the whole well with these sticks. Outside and inside (((Do not put a stick on the well ((((
place the rolling pin thing in the middle of the well.

after getting the basement key don´t forget to take back the rope - it is used in the basement to lift the big box
take away the carpet that was under the box to see a very tiny keyhole - there fits a key that ysou find in the basement on the right side (middle up). than the panel moves so you can enter the 2. down basement. there the handle of the shovel is found and the ship wheel and chain that Mac Carter mentioned aabove. shovel ist twice used an the grave outside, gives a 4-digit-panel and half a 4-digit-clue.

i un-blocked the path by getting 3 boxes out of the way with the crane, but clicking on the door does nothing, also still lookeing for the 2. half of the 4-digit-clue - Nafanja, can you help me?
ahaaa! in the room where the ship wheel is you can pick up a book that contains the 2. half No. The full 4 digits give the key for the door in the crates room and you´re out! very good game!
Ok so im using the crane but how do i let go of the boxes?
btw.: DEG game has hotspots now, that should be honoured with an extra star...
@reaper: move the boxes over one of the boxes that are marked with a darker brown diagonal and let them down there - the hook will automatically come free. Do that 3 times and the path is free.

too many boxes LOL - which ones are movable?

ah, not only clicking, but dragging/turning the wheel - boxes are in next room
& there's an up arrow
left of the far door is the mechanism for hook
I already played such a box thing in another game, it's a long time ago...

hahahaha I can´t spot anything that looks like a ships wheel in the basement. Over on the left Mac Carter wrote. nada hmm so what to do.... Am I in the right room ? The basement room with an ambolt on a couple of crates, a big crate on a carpet in the middle of the room. ?

2 star poor, very finicky hotspot and crane operation extremely poor
