I can't understand the John and siblings riddle, is it because of my poor English skills or am I just dumb? I understood so that John's five siblings are 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 and John as the oldest is 16. Or 15 or 17 or 63, as it is not said that John was born also 2 years apart, we know that only his siblings were. He is in no case younger than 14, because he is the oldest. Why is the right answer 13?
Please, explain it to me, I'm feeling not very smart.

The youngest is 3. Just go up every two years until you get to John, the oldest of 6.

Zoot, I know it's sometimes a question of reading through the sentences ignoring dots, putting comma's in different places and so on.

Yes, the wheel and the the numbers in the first scene with 3 squares of numbers. Will look again at the John clue as I can't see it now I've solved it. Maybe I misread it and got lucky!
Re-opened it and the second sentence of the riddle: "The youngest is only 3 years old while John is the oldest."

the wheel : take for instance
14 add two numbers ... minus two numbers = 15.
It also works the other way around:
15 add two numbers ... minus two numbers = 14.
That's very very strange ... I read :
The youngest is only 6 years old ... that's absurd.
That IS odd.

The squares, also a question of adding/subtracting.
Combine up left with down right = ..
then going on using up right and down left = gives the middle number.
You can find out which to add and to subtract I think?
Weird. My second sentence is: "The youngest is only 6 years old while John is the oldest." Re-openend three times, 6 does not change to 3. Also the VWT linked above has 6 years, but the answer is still 13 (look 1:22 in VWT).
Even in the walktrhough the age is wrong.
