Anyone care to explain the logic behind the "how many times does the clock chime" question?
Also is there some trick to the "What is the only number spelled in alphabetical order"? that question makes zero sense to me.
In case Dean checks back or others want to know: For the clock, I think you can't start the "timer" until the clock starts chiming, so you count chime-1-chime-2 etc. This will give you 11 because the clock will still be chiming until you get to count 11. Hope that helps, but I'm not sure I explained well. For the number in alphabetical order, they mean how it is spelled. The answer is forty because the letters in that word fall in the same order as they do in the alphabet.
Thank you Nanaseed. I understand the alphabetical number now. Your clock explanation sort of works, but it really was a poor question.
For the chimes:
Seconds 1,2,3,4 = 5 chimes
Seconds 5,6,7,8 = 5 chimes (is 10 all together)
Seconds 9 and 10 are not enough for 2 chimes, so is only 1 (10 + 1)
For the word: it's the body part someone else needs to scratch :)
Clock question is terrible, terrible, terrible.
