There are actually 3 endings. (At least.) ;)
1) Don't get angel and go out;
2) get angel, put it on tree, let fire on and go out;
3) get angel, put it on tree, put fire out and go out.

symbol on window is a clue for ribbon. ribbon side...

symbol on window is a clue for ribbon. ribbon side 1 + ribbon side 2.
Take a piece of paper and copy first side of ribbon. Turn the ribbon around and fill in the remaining lines in the same colours. Mind the colours! You'll get a backwards 3 digit code for the table.

Code for 3824 is actually simple if you understand pattern.
First look at the card, notice the shapes and start looking around for the shapes.
3 = 3 triangles on fireplace.
8 = 8 stars on safe picture
2 = 2 rings on fireplace
4 = 4 squares on safe picture.
enter code, insert card and you'll get key.

all clues are there but in case anyone still needs help...

First, we look for all the ornaments:
4 in fireplace scene
5 in door scene
3 around sofa
1 behind curtain...the other 3 are found later

door scene we pick up the faucet handle
under sofa pick up scissors and beside it get the watering can
window scene get logs

put handle on faucet and fill watering can
use it on table to reveal code entering space
refill watering can,right twice, use on dead tree
go all the way around and the tree is ALIVE!
click the red base for time for clock and grab 14th ornament
go to clock and set it, grab red ribbon
click ribbon and then tree, use scissors on the hanging bit...there is 3 digit code for table
view and check both sides spoiler832spoiler
open drawer to find matches and ornament
view logs,cut string, put them in fireplace
view matches and open, view red ribbon and use matches on it...put burning ribbon in fireplace

Lovely fire isn't it?

Now, picture above sofa has moved, get card hanging down...count shapes on card to make first safe code spoiler3824spoiler
click line under #'s and a key appears
go to window, the symbol on glass tells you to close curtain, find other code,use on safe to get last ornament...put them all on the tree

you now have key to leave but let us be responsible and put out the fire first!!!

fill that watering can one last time, turn off water...open door w/ key...
