When you click on the green ball (with the right code) the ball moves to the upper right of the screen and flashes. If you click on it while it's flashing the ball disappears and this appears: n=2 i=1 e=1. At last I've figured out what this means: two N's, one I, and one E. In other words, NINE. (We already knew it was 9 but didn't know why!)

One thing I forgot- when you connect the dots on line 2, you have to sing "CONNECT THE DOTS! LA LA LA LA LA!" like Pee-Wee Herman.

Line 1: note the number of *right angles* on each figure: 4, 7, 2, and 5. Enter this code and click the purple ball to present it, and again to pop it and see it morph into a 7. Purple = 7

Line 2: connect the dots for each figure, as others said, starting from 1 and counting up, and note what figures you end up tracing: 6, 5, 1, 2. Enter, click green ball to present it, click again and it moves to the upper right hand corner before flashing several colors; my only guess is that the upper right hand corner represents 9, as it does on a computer numberpad (NOT on a telephone!) Green = 9

Line 3: Again, the squares represent a *computer* numberpad, not a telephone: if you put your fingers on the highlighted spots, you're typing 2768. Enter this, click the blue ball to present it, then turn off the light (not sure why) and click it again; it splits into 4 pieces. Blue = 4

Line 4: Simple periodic table lookup: Lithium=3; Carbon=6; Hydrogen=1; Beryllium=4. Enter these at the top, present and pop the orange ball, and it traces a giant (relatively) figure 6 on the screen. Orange = 6
Enter the corresponding numbers on each colored pad now: Green, Purple, Blue, Orange = 9, 7, 4, 6. Click the doorknob.

this is a dumb question, but how do you input codes in this game? the only things i can click on are the light switch (on and off) and the numbers in coloured boxes.. but that's it..nothing happens when i click the balls, nothing happens when i click the grids on the walls, nothing happens when i click on the line patterns.. i'm not sure how everybody is figuring out these 4-digit codes from the grids, and i've no idea how to input the codes.. is there anyone there that can get past my stupidity and help me out?? thanks in advance!

I believe the first row are numbers written upright once and then 90 degrees sideways and half size. This makes the first one a 7. Not sure on rest.

When you turn off the lights you can make out a grid to the right of the door. I would guess this comes into play once we put in the correct numbers.

So we have the sequence for 3 of the 4 numbers and need to figure out the purple one. And then of course, what to do with them.
