To open east door you need to insert all the 4 cards in the 4 boxes next to the doors. You get the cards from inside the color-box on table inside north door.

ReplyDelete@Carola: you need to check the other numbers as well, and then see what color the are. For example: if you have number 5 on south door, you need to click number 2 and 3 on wall panel to see what color 5 is (2+3=5). Then change color for south door on box on table.

ReplyDeleteon my 1st playthrough i found i did not need to worry about the numbers on the doors ever again after the 1st door opened, so ur doing ok.
about the walkthrough, ive been requested not to post 1 yet so that i dont spoil it for ppl, so just wait on that, but i can try to help if u are stuck at a certain step.

in the room with the water.... well u need to use the knife to make stuff out of other items in your inventory...
however the north room requires another visit after u open the west room chest :)
I have 3 on the west door. Thats red. Set W to Red on the colour pad, press button. The door is still not open. Does it matter what colour the other 3 are?

ReplyDeleteI wrote down NEWS and the numbers on the doors below each letter, then went to the colour panel on the wall and put up the switch with number 2 ( because my north door number was 2), then i put up the next switch for the east door (in my case number 4, so i moved switches with number 1 and 3) and always noted the colour for all 4 letters. then put the 4 colours on the board on table, it opened.

ReplyDeleteTo open west door, you need to open east door first (by using all the cards from north door).
ReplyDeleteIn east room, change the heads of the 3 green dolls so they point like the clue inside the box (where you found the green doll) =NEW
The first doll head should go to the left from our piont of view, that is N in the game.
After changeing the heads you can take a knife, and open a drawer with a key. Use this key to find a handle for opening W door.

also where did the spade key (the last one) get used? those are what has me confused, because they didnt seem needed...
I found the following logic to open the color box:
ReplyDeleteafter you have entered the North room with the color box in it, go back.
Note the number on the door and make a right turn circle, writing down the 4 numbers on the doors.
Then go back in the North room, and click the color tiles as many times as the number on the door is. (so, when there is a number 3, change color 3 times).
This worked for me, i will start again and try it again.

The game has changed. I could open the N door with numbers that added to different totals but now it seems to have to = 12. Leave the N door to last and make the other doors =< 12. If the doors = 12 then the N door will be 0.
ReplyDeleteu need to cut the bottle twice, after the 1st time click on it and itll change view, then use the knife again to cut holes in the bottom.
ReplyDeleteto proceed from there u will need the 2 bolts and the 2 nuts, the 2 bolts can only be got after the wrench though.
after the nuts and bolts are in place use the propeller u made on the bottle and itll be completed
we havent figured out exactly how to open that pesky north door yet lol we just know itll open after fiddling around with the numbers on the other doors somehow.

The logic to the colour code is...
ReplyDeleteUse the colour adder above, going from 1 - 9 and noting each colour (0 = red). Enter the colours according to the numbers on the doors (NEWS)to open it.
I remember the note indicating that the total = Queen. Since QUEEN = 62 (17,21,5,5,14)...I'm also guessing that you have to then add 6 and 2 which would make 8? So then you would have to make all the doors add up to 8 or less?

in cards, ace is 1, 2-10 are 2-10. jack is the next lowest card so it counts as 11. then queen and king would be 12 and 13.
kinda tricky i dont think i woulda thought of that myself, but now it makes sense hearing it.

ReplyDeletethe code on the box was for solving the east room. u had to make the frogs face N E W respectively, but keeping in mind u were facing east already when doing it (so really the answer is making them face left, up down.)
But, then again, you wouldn't know that until later in the game (about the shapes on the keys).

ReplyDeleteAlright then cricket, let's just say for the sake of logic and for the sanity of the person trying to create a walkthrough that the Queen reference could be found on the back of the note when it says "CARD" and that they could take the queue from there and translate that into equating it to be the Queen from a deck of cards. Then there would be trying to understand how to place that into numerical form. Well the doors will only open if the total is Queen, so now you have to understand what number the Queen represents and have all the doors equal to 12.

ReplyDeleteWrite down the numbers of the doors:
like: North 2; East 7; south 2; west 1
Go to the colorswitchpanel.
The color for N=north=2 (in this example, for you it can be another number), but if N=2, put the switches nr2 up and write down the color.
if it's red: N=red
For 7, you have to put the 3 + 3 + 1 up, which give you a color.
Do this for all the four numbers you have.
Now you have the for colors.
Put in the colors on the desk. Notice you have to put in: NEWS and not NESW ;)
Have everything, but can't find the bolts, must overlooked them somewhere.

ReplyDeleteI have an explanation for "x star 3". Look at the picture above, it represent an horizontal symmetry. In the letters "z t u v x y" only the x represents this symmetry. Idem for the star and the 3.
ReplyDeleteHey anyone who hasn't figured out why Queen refers to the card, NSEW is a common notation for the four players of Bridge, a card game, using Queen=12. Furthermore, "N open" can be interpreted as North player opens, which ended up not working for me but it clued me in that the numbers have to increase as bidding can only go higher, never lower, in clockwise order. Hope that is helpful.
