ReplyDeletewell i think mine isnt that good compared to prids (mine is a LOT harder and longer, but harder doesnt necesarily mean better).
remember, i have no game making experience at all, except for this recent attempt of mine, and prid at least knows about flash, i dont. i had to make a non-flash game with a special program as a result. however, because of this, i dont know if its possible to get mine online at all, ive tried everything and none of these supposed exe conversion programs work! im really upset :(
but if you wonder, then yes, my game IS completed now, after i spent 2 weeks working on it. im just unable to find a way to get it to work in a webpage because its an exe file. its a shame, because i would have loved to have it here on EG24 for everyone to play :(

i was hoping thered be some way to get a non flash game to play online, or perhaps convert it to being flash after its coded, but had no luck. there is 1 program named web game builder, that says it can turn any exe into a web game, but its a terribly buggy program and doesnt work like i hoped.
i suppose i can get it up on places like that link you mentioned, but since i hang out here this is where i wanted to to be, so the people who know me could play it

ReplyDeletesuicune: there is no way to easily convert a non flash game to flash game. If your game is good, there are people who willing to convert it for shared revenue, like what happens to a game titled Tanaka's friendly adventure. Go google it, it is a simple yet fun game.

LEVEL WALKTHROUGH

Level 1: Click on the 3rd Heart from Left to Right - the one before the Heart on most Right-Side
Level 2: Click on the Chicken Leg, 10 Times to eat it. Of course you're thirsty after eating! Click on the Glass to drink
Level 3: Move the Hand on top of the Rope, or on the Middle, and simply Move the Hand to the bottom of the Rope, to shake the Bell. Do this 3 Times
Level 4: From the very start, click on each Coin 1 Time. If you've already changed the Coins, change the Coins:
Left-Side Coin: CHR
2nd Left-Side Coin: IS
Middle Coin: TM
2nd Right-Side Coin: AS
Right-Side Coin: nothing/blank
This will form the word: CHRISTMAS
Level 5: You see the 2 Arrows moving in Circle. They are rotation Clockwise [Up, Right, Down, Left] - simply move your Cursor in circle, Clockwise! Just do it easily, no need to speed up (If it lags, Right-Click -> Quality -> Low or Medium)
Level 6: Move the Sharp Tool on each Decoration Ball to cut them. Once every Decoration Ball is cut, click on the RED Button on the Power Box! Use Hammer on the 3rd Light Bulb from Left to Right, which is blue-colored (The one before the Light Bulb on most Right-Side)
Level 7: Click on each Circle-shaped Stone 3 Times (Click on their Top-part), to form a Star. If you really don't understand what I am saying right now, I think you'll probably understand this level by yourself. If you still can't, go to http://images.google.com - and search for "Star"
Level 8: You see the part of the Bow, on the Top-side of the Gift, where the Bow crosses itself. Use Scissor on that part! Click on the Top-part of Gift to take it off, and click inside it to zoom in. Click the paper, Drag it, and release it anywhere, to remove. Remove all the papers
Level 9: Move the Match on the Top-Middle part of the Candle, to light it. Click on Decoration Ball to take it, and move it on the Candle Fire. It will melt, and you'll get a Key! Use the Key on the Box, on Top-Left side of the Candle, to open it. Take the Multimedia Player, and it will be on the Bottom-part of the Screen. Click on the most Right-Side button [2 Arrows pointing on Right-Side], to Forward
Level 10: Click on the Snow Pile, on Right-side of the House, on the ground. Once the Snow Pile is completely gone, click on the Door House, to ask for Firewood. Once you get the Firewood, simply Move it on the right-side of the Frozen Number, and it will automatically be put there. Click inside the the House Door, to borrow Match. Once a Pop-up window appears with the Match, simply Move your Cursor/Mouse anywhere one screen. Just keep moving it, to lit up the Match. Once the Firewood is on Fire, the Frozen Number, will melt
Level 11: Click on the Milk, and then click on the Glass, next to teh Milk, to pour Milk inside it. Take the Broom, near Bottom-Right side, and use it on the Cookie Jar on Top-Right side of the Top Cupboard, to take the Cookie Jar. Place the Cookies from Cookie Jar on the Plate, next to the Glass of Milk! Click on the Switch on Right-Side of Top Cupboard, to turn the Lights OFF. Click on Switch again, to turn Lights ON, and you'll relize that the Santa has already been here. Click on the Gift he left
Level 12: Click on the Snow pile in the Middle of the Screen, on the Snow, until it is completely gone! Take the Fishing Net from under Snowpile, and use it on the Middle of the Water, to fish up a Blue Box. Click on Blue Box to open it, and get a Key! Use Key on the Keyhole of the Brown Box, to ge a Firework. Take the Key from inside the Brown Box, and use it on the Key hole, Inside the Blue Box, to get a Match. Use Match on the Thread of the Firework [Bottom-Right side of Firework], and enjoy the Ending

Hidden Star 2: The Star is hidden on Level 8 - Once you've usen the Scissor, and the Cursor changes into a Hand. Look at the Right-side part of the Gift. From that part, look at the Bottom-Right side of the Gift, and there is the Star

I loved this game so much that I played it more times than I can count. I will probably play it some more before the day is over. Now, this is how to make games. Not too hard that it gets frustrating, and so much fun it makes you want to play it again. 2.Keep clicking on the chicken and then juice
3.Move the mouse up and down on the rope
4.Click all the gold medals once and it will spell CHR-IS-TM-AS-
5.Keep rotating the mouse clockwise
6.Remove all the light bulbs and turn off the power(red button)and break the 3rd bulb
7.STAR NO.1-behind the petal on top
Click each petal 3 times
8.STAR NO.2-behind the present
Cut the ribbon on the present and open the box and keep clicking on the paper
9.STAR NO.3-behind the brown box
Light the candle and take the pink ornament or light bulb or whatever that is and burn it on the candle and it will reveal key and use key to open box and take the blue player(i forgot what it's called)and press fast forward(on the right side)
10.STAR NO.4-behind the tool shed
Keep clicking on the pile of snow and you will see 10 frozen in ice and go inside the toolshed and someone will give you firewood and place it beside 10 and ask him/her for some matches and use it to burn the wood
11.Put milk in glass and use broom to get cookies and put it on the plate and turn the lights off and turn it on and you will see the cookies and milk was gone(Santa must have been here)and he(Santa I think)will give you a present and open it

ReplyDelete@Suicune: I have Java downloaded on my PC from before. The game said "DOWNLOADING", and then "UNZIPPING" - and after that, I got an Error message!
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you try Flash? It is really fun, once you can handle it. If you want to try to make Animation, simply draw something, and then press F6 or F7 on your Keyboard to jump to Next Frame! Anyways, if you need more help, just send me an E-mail on: prid_outing@hotmail.com

wish i had known the limitations of using adventure maker BEFORE i used it. but im not a programmer and didnt wanna spend weeks trying to learn how to program... thats the whole reason i went with it over flash.
as for trying to use flash NOW... im gonna pass because ive alraedy wasted 2 weeks trying to create that game. i dont feel like redoing it, and learning actionscript and everything on top of having to redo something i alraedy finished... i dont wanna do that, id rather wait for adventure maker to be updated/improved 1 of these years then i can finally release my game mabye lol.
until then ill just keep it saved somewhere... i COULD release it as a download but i really do not want to do that because i know almost no one here likes to play downloads... so it wont get any hits.
as for the program i downloaded from your game, i will keep it, mabye 1 day ill be able to use it... idk. im starting to feel like i never shoulda bothered trying to make a game in the 1st place, i thought itd be so easy but its like rocket science to me... and takes WAY more time and effort than i had hoped...
ok mystery of gamershood said she was able to get it to work, but thats probably because she has the adventure maker program installed like i do. i think it wont work for anyone who doesnt have it installed, so i cant put my game here as a result :(

Well, I played once and don't remember now what number reward I got, but I know I didn't understand it, lol. Anyway, I played again and got reward 9 and 'thought' I understood it as games to play at that site, but it didn't work out that way either. Oh well, I appreciate it Prid, but I'm worse at computers than a beginner, LOL! Well, I take that back, only at making games and such. I think I'm pretty average at everything else. Anyway, Prid, the best reward I could get is for you to make another great game! But, I won't rush you, I know they are time staking, but if and when you ever want to make another one, I'll be here to play it, and I'm SURE I'll love it! Thanks again. ReplyDeleteI also wanted to let Suicune know I tested his game and it did the same for me. I got an error msg. and there was nothing that came up about java either. But if you didn't click on the download, there was nothing else to do, I tried everything. I'm sorry it didn't work, but I tried for you. I wish you luck in the future if you want to ever try again at game making.

ReplyDelete@Aya: If you're using an Apple Mac OS X, then it won't work. Icy Tower is only for Windows :(
@nathan_kibanoff: That's too bad. 100 MB isn't so much compared to other big softwares that are 1-2 GB (maybe you should tell your dad that you can make games with that software, and that you'll get what you've always wanted, lol) - and I loved the whole Walkthrough you made :D

do you have the software "adventure maker" installed? i need to know, because were currently testing the compatibility of my game with peoples machines. until now, the only people its worked for have been me and mystery and we both have adventure maker, but if you DONT have it, and still got it to work, then this could mean something good!
dont worry too much about beating my game right now though, i was intending for you guys to work together to beat it since the codes get pretty tough (especially in the last 2 rooms), and then only giving hints if everyone was seriously stumped. but a small hint: the yellow door can actually be opened before the purple door, though in the end both will have to be opened.

mabye just add more levels next time, so its not as short, idk lol. there isnt too much else to improve on i dont think!

@suicune: no i don't have adventure maker installed.just regular stuff like java and adope flash,active x etc:)ok i put this first:http://gamejolt.com/games/quick-play/1298/ then it opened the site and a page asked me if i want to run the application. i clicked at 'run' and dadaa=)SuicunesMazeEscape started.i just cracked the safe with the numbers from the dijit code and got pink key.i play very slow cause i have a lot of things to do benath:(...but i like that game very much,good job

ReplyDeletehmmm... this could be interesting then, i wonder if i should attempt to put it up here on EG24 with that gamejolt link, and then an alternative download link if people still wanna play but cant get the gamejolt one to run? not sure what i should do atm, cuz we have now 3 machines that could get it to work, and 3 that couldnt.
perhaps the issue is with java/activex updates... its just really weird because i cannot get it to work on my other comp only this one. im gonna see if i can find a way to make it work on my other comp, that would make it easier to figure out what the problem is.

i think that walkthrough is very helpful! it allows people who have been trying to get certain rewards (like that flash program) by playing over and over, but just werent lucky enough to get it.

But what I really want to tell you is that I LOVE YOUR GAME! I think you need to get this game posted ASAP because I need help...lol. yes, i need to talk to yalcin about getting it up. i have realized that some people get an error though, including my old computer, and this might frustrate some people. i have found out that downloading gif89.dll and putting it in your system32 folder if the error occurs, will remove the error, and the game will work!
i told yalcin about this but he hasnt wrote me back yet, i hope itll be ok with him to add the game even though some people might not be able to get it to work without downloading the dll.
and i feel bad we keep talking about my game here on prids game :( im sorry prid :(

@prid yes its helpful!and generous. i like the nintendo games ,it brings back sweet childhood memories. as for improvements for ur game, its great as it is, but if u do add more lvls, it wud b cool if ther was a menu screen wer u cn choose the lvl u want to enter with a save and load option (if its not too much trouble :s).

I got a sweet Nintendo emulator (link was busted, but it's the thought that counts) Thanx loads, Prid!. How about making the last level an increasingly hard minigame so you have to play again and again to score a perfect 12 to get all the prezzies.
