  1. Yea! great Mad Phantom, when's the next installment lol :)

    ReplyDelete
  2. For lvl 10 you do what you have done on previous levels (lvl 4 for rectangle) (lvl 9 for clock)(lvl 6 for last shape) and for cubes I just got lucky
Hopefully someone more clever will explain it

    ReplyDelete
  3. Thanks Mad Phantom!!
Will be waiting for the rest

    ReplyDelete
  4. @al sal, I thought that the cubes would be 'O' which makes sense, however your suggestion got me there :o)

    ReplyDelete
  5. That was the first thing I tried too @rambler but then there were too many vowels so I started trying other letters and I got lucky!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Happy New Year to all,

Thanks for the riddle Mad Phantom, and thanks for all the hints, great find on 9 s-t!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I think I've got right letters at 9, but can't find the word... can anyone tell me what's the order of these clocks?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Natlo,

    Letters in this order;

    clock 3, 1, 4, 2, 5

    ReplyDelete
  9. s-t thank u so much! such an easy word...

  11. YES...I have finished also. Thanks to all for wonderful hints and to Friend Pel for excellent hint on number 9.

  12. Great riddle MP, waiting for next levels.

    Thanks S-t for 9.

  13. Sadly, I've had to go out fro much of today and I've missed the end (lvl 9 & 10).
    And I don't get the clues/hints.
Can anyone help please? - lvl 9?

I can't even get lvl 4 to show now so I'm not even sure which images we're supposed to use as a hint.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ashley,
    The top cut is 0
One hand is on a number (write it out) and the other hand tells you what letter to pick from that number.
    And then anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks S-t - makes perfect sense - when you KNOW.

Thought I could manage 10 by myself.
But I can't make much sense of the top two.
In level 4 (?), the rectangle was an "Oblong".
But since the bottom two are both undeniably vowels, the rectangle must (this time) be "rectangle".

So does the first diagram represent Two Boxes, Two Cubes, Six Squares, or something plainer, like Cube-Cube, Box-Box?

I've tried all combinations (I think) and can't see an answer that works.

    What am I doing wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I was lucky there.
    Somehow I thought cubes was a 6-letter word so I took the S (2x).
But even with knowing the letter I can't find the right method.
    A very far-fetched method I thought of was;
    3 lines, so that's 15 and the word cube is 4 letters 15+4=19 and that's an S.
    But not happy with that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oops. I meant I thought cubes was a 6-letter word and the total of 6 lines was the hint to pick the 6th letter.
But it was wrong anyway, so it doesn't matter.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Back after a few hours sleep;

So S-t, you told me what mistake you made but nothing else (I think).

    someone said only two vowels.

So I tried an Anagram Solver with every combination I can find in the Level picture ... ... and came up with NOTHING!

As I said, I see 2 possibilities for the top right (= Rectangle or Oblong); the bottom 2 are easy (assuming the rules didn't change); but I cannot find 2 letters to suit the top left.

    So I'm still stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The cubes are S (so you havee two S's)
The rectangle is just a Rectangle.
The gear/clock thing is the same method as the previous level.
The bottom right one is the same as another previous levels (triangle cut is 1 and line cut is 5), but out triangles and lines are subtracted.
So in that way the bottome ones are indee the two vowels.

    ReplyDelete
  20. MMMMMmmmm!

Well, as I said, I've tried those letters through an anagram solver and I cannot find the answer.

There are only two English words which come up in every anagram solver, but I have tried other combinations too.

So I just don't get it!
Doesn't look like I will be going on when the next 10 come online.

But thanks for all your help S-t.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Aaaahhh - I have found the problem.

Someone said earlier that they got an error screen but with the next level label.

All I kept getting was a blank black screen.
I tried it in a different browser and got the same result except that the browser tab had the new level label (-.) - my usual browser just had a blank tab.

So thanks for your help (again) - I did have it correct but just didn't know it.

    Now awaiting lvls 11- ... ...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Levels 11-16 are now out. Have fun!

  23. hi faltu, working on 12 also

    ReplyDelete
  24. Lol, we're all stuck on level 12 I think.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi guys!! Going in... I guess 11 is obvious since you all got to 12

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, obviously not obvious enough for me...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Bye All, must go for a while, good luck and leave good hints!

    ReplyDelete
  28. @al sal there are 13 entrances either side

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hmmm... and I guess only 5 make it to the center...
I'll work it out. Thanks @mtatt100

    ReplyDelete
  30. Lol and so did EG24 Flor.
    I'm on level 13 now.

    ReplyDelete
  31. For level 13.
Think of a way to make a grid that's just a bit more than the alphabet.
Then pick letters from the arrows.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah. EASY after the hints there. What about 13?

    ReplyDelete
  33. No idea at all on level 13.
Don't even see how in can be 5 letters :(
Maybe top left one, both top right ones, middle one, bottom left one and bottom right one.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think all three top figures on 13 are the same pyramid in different views. Trying to figure out what it means though

    ReplyDelete
  35. Trying something else now Al Sal.
I'm trying to count the 5 different shapes.

    ReplyDelete
  36. i dont see how to make 4x7 grid at level 12

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mishu think that the last arrow(the square) is No 26

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mishu,
    Maybe try a 7x4 grid

    ReplyDelete
  39. It;s not very precise... try one letter back and forth and the word is a bit strange

    ReplyDelete
  40. S-T I'm sure the top three are the same pyramid and even the wave looks like it is the opened pyramid, the numbers are on the same position..

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yep Al Sal, I better go look at that.
Counting just gave me gibberish letters.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Did you get it Mishu?
    (I'm still at stog chat!).

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi All, back and working on 13

    ReplyDelete
  44. Still here frying my brain...
    Any progress?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Tried many ways of counting and converting to letters - no luck, then tried using the 5 polygons to trace letters on the other shapes, still no luck. Must go for now. Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Little New Year's present:

    Level 13,
The 4 squares at bottom right represent each face in the pyramid, each face made by 3 vertices ('square' 'pentagon' 'hexagon' and/or 'octagon').
Pick the values (lines and triangles) for all the vertices to make your word.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Small hint Level 14,

    Same start. Then alphabet.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hola Edgar LOL what would we do without you?

    ReplyDelete
  49. ...and good night.
    Hasta la vista!

    ReplyDelete
  50. My friend Leroy!! So nice to see you! Doing fine so far, thanks. :)

@Mishu, I will explain some more. I hope I'm clear enough.

Look closely to the 2 figures on the right -the open pyramid and the wave ones.- They both show the exact position of the vertices on each face.

Now, look at the first face. It is formed by 'hexagon' on the left, 'pentagon' on top and 'square' on the right.

Go to the first square on the last pic. It has 1 line, 2 lines and 2 lines respectively. Assign these to the 'hex' 'penta' and 'square' vertices... in this order... same position.

    Go on like this.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Wow, Edgar back.
And of course solving/cracking levels/riddles just like that :)
Anyway, welcome back and a Happy New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  52. No problem MishAnubis. Glad to help a riddles icon like you :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Vague hint for 15,

    Left=group
    Right=Position

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's taken me over an hour and half to understand the hints you all gave for the first five levels, the game's own forum is terrible, there's hardly any logic involved and afaik 'fatum' is not even an English word. Level 6 looks even worse. I'll learn to write in Klingon before I'll get this! How you lot managed to get this far is beyond me, but when there's not even a single thing I can do on my own, I quit.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Can't understand 16 and I should be getting ready for bed. So, this is as far I could go. Hopefully we will see again soon. Nite all.

    ReplyDelete
  56. @ReemZ, is it level 6 you're having troubles with?

You see... Lines worth 10 and triangles worth 1.
Subtract the outer ones to the inner ones to come up with the numbers you need to convert to letters.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Glad to see you Edgar sweet dreams!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Edgar: yup, it doesn't make any sense to me.
How did you find out the whole "lines worth 10 and triangles worth 1" thing?

So if I understand your hint right, I get the following numbers:
    11 18
    12
    19 40

So...which is the 40th letter of the alphabet?

    ReplyDelete
  59. @Reemz: there's a typo. Lines are worth 5 instead of 10. So please count again.

    Working on level 13...

    ReplyDelete
  60. got 13. @Edgar, you're a genius...

    ReplyDelete
  61. Finally on to 14, thanks for the hint Edgar

    ReplyDelete
  62. WOW!!! Edgar is here again, our rescuer!! Thanks Edgar and welcome back!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hi faltu, still stuck on 14

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hi donas what did Edgar mean by same start? Previous clock level?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Not sure, I thought he meant the 3 circles on the top left were the key, like the 4 boxes on 13. I've tried similar ways to the previous level, but no luck.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Good luck, faltu. It's late here and I'm off to bed. Leave me a hint!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Bye Donas. Got 14. Thanks Edgar again.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Here again for a while. More for Level 14:

'Same start, then alphabet' meant start solving the clocks exactly the same way you did in a previous level (indeed). Once you get a letter doing that, use the position of that letter in the alphabet to use it with the second-hand of the clock.

...and I know I won't be able to solve 16. No matter how long I stare, the level just doesn't tell me a thing!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hi Edgar. Tried to count the sides of the shapes for five lines but the arrows confusing me.

    ReplyDelete
  70. @faltu, I go to have a look at 16 every now and then, but really doubt something will hit me.

    ReplyDelete
  71. 15: how coordinates works here?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Mishu, first line give you the group of squares and the second line their position to pick up from the group.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Thanks for the hints Edgar and faltu, working on 16

    ReplyDelete
  74. I cannot even start 16!

    ReplyDelete
  75. As some of you probably noticed, there's a net involved here. But its size, and thus location of its 'holes', may be different than the 1st thought would say ;)

    ReplyDelete
  76. totally agreed with Rameez
im still stuck on level 8

and even i dont understand the hint ...

    ReplyDelete
  77. raasti

The box on the upper left is the key. Fold it into a cube and note that opposite side total the same number. Note that the other shapes have highlighted squares, do the same to them and pick those squares

    ReplyDelete
  78. still no one solved 13 ....

    ReplyDelete
  79. Mishu, do you mean 16?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Back after 2 days away.
But I don't get 11 (which everyone else seems to have no problem with.
Got the hint - 13/side & only 5 lead to the centre.
But whatever way I count from I only get 1 vowel and nothing comes up in an anagram solver.

Anyone want to give me another pointer please?
Meantime, I guess I'll keep trying.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Ashley, start your alphabet from top left corner go down, then top right corner, go down. Look for those lead to the centre.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Thanks Faitu.
Somehow, I had ONE letter wrong ... ... every time I tried it.
Guess I was a bit more careful today.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I'm having a small problem with 14;
The first clock, hour hand now points straight up.
But on lvl 9, straight up represented 0.
So do we call this "naught", "zero", or carry on around and call it "eight"?
Or have I missed another name for 0?

    ReplyDelete
  84. NVM, got it. Miscounted on second clock.

    Lvl 15 ...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Here we go again ...
Lvl 15; How can you have "position 6" when there are only 4 squares (letters) in a group?

    Me stuck again!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Ashley
the second line gives the position, look at the placement of each figure on the overall square

    ReplyDelete
  87. Aaahh - thanks Donas.

I was well launched into an explanation of why I I couldn't understand it, when halfway through I saw what I'd missed.

On to Lvl 16. Has anyone solved that while I've been busy elsewhere for a few hours?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Not that I know of, MP posted a 2nd hint on his forum, but still can't solve it

    ReplyDelete
  89. Assuming the circle is a one-side shape for the author (any math student should know a circle is made by MANY sides), the line is two sides and the empty spots are zero, I've translated the grid into this:

    8 5 4 1 3
    3 8 6 4 0
    6 4 8 4 2
    0 2 4 3 3
    1 0 7 1 2

Then have inserted arithmetic signs in between the lines (being the same one for the arrow pointing to the left), but nothing good has come up with that. :(

    ReplyDelete
  90. My grid was almost the same Edgar - I just wasn't sure what to assign to the circle & the line (though I was leaning in favour of the same). Never thought to assign value of zero.

So whatever we do next, the second & third letter (according to this grid) must be (or should be) the same.

I wondered if we just add and/or subtract, possibly depending on whether the arrows point left or right.

we should then have a grid (5 across x 4 down) of numbers that translate to letters. So then we just choose on letter from each row (top to bottom?) to make a word - much like a puzzle I used to like in some puzzle books.
This would then negate my comment on the second & third letters being the same.

The only question is do we add or subtract (arrow left or right - or vice versa); or should we multiply & divide - probably not because then we start dividing odd combinations ... ...

As it is now 1:40am for me, I may have to leave this soon and get some sleep for the morrow.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Edgar and Ashley
I've tried many of the same ideas, but I keep coming back to the 1st hint

"But its size, and thus location of its 'holes', may be different than the 1st thought would say"

I feel like the holes are significant, but there are only 3. How do we increase the net's size to contain 5 holes?

    ReplyDelete
  92. So... heading to bed now.

For whatever help its worth ...
I made up two new grids of the arrowed spaces; one grid was plus for arrows pointing to the left and subtract (smaller value from bigger value) for arrows pointing to the right. The other grid was opposite.

Then I listed the available letters in 5 vertical columns (just so that the words - if any - would read across left to right).
One or two words showed up, but nothing proved to be the solution.

So IF we are on the right track, I'm thinking now that we will have to start looking for anagrams within my new grids.
It seems to be quite complicated.

I look forward to seeing some more progress tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Mmmm Donas.
I have been assuming that the five arrows indicate the five letters we are looking for. And it sounds like Edgar has had the same thoughts.

Of course, if, as Edgar suggested, the "holes" are simply filled by a zero, and if, as I have suggested, we are to make up a new grid which interweaves with what we have been given, then it would seem to me to fulfill that first hint. The "holes" would then indicate where some letter choices double up in a row.

    eg in Edgar's grid, the top right corner is as follows;

    ... 1 3

    ... 4 0

If you then subtract the smaller from the bigger value, 4-1=3 & 3-0=3. So assuming that the 3 represents letter C, reading down the grid from top to bottom you will only need 1 "C" in the top row.
The second and third rows across will be identical, whatever rules you apply to create the rows/grid.
    But if for example, rows 2 & 3 were A B C D & E
you might need the word we are hunting for could be aDEpt, or tABle, or the letters could be the same letter - eg tEEth.

OR if as I am now thinking, we take one letter from each row and then anagram them, they could end up in any position in our hunted word.

Now I really must get some sleep.
    Have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I'm back after a few days... Solved 13 thanks to Edgar (THANKS!!!). I had seen the pyramid but could not find a way to link it to the 4 squares...
    And now looking at 16..
    Anybody solved it yet??

    ReplyDelete
  95. Ooops I just saw your last comments with what you've been trying Ashjey and Edgar...
I am still just staring at it..

    ReplyDelete
  96. MP's latest hint:

"There are 5 arrows (yes, 5), and each of them is independent from the others. In other words, I could move or remove any one of them, and it would affect only a single letter."

    ReplyDelete
  97. I thought difference between the shapes then add all numbers in row together got letters 16 13 11 12
    P AC K L

    ReplyDelete
  98. This means the double arrow is actually one arrow and the arrows have nothing to do with adding or subtracting or whatever we have to do

    ReplyDelete
  99. double arrow mean second letter starting from left
    ... i think

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yes but how do we convert that 5x5 shapes grid to alphabet? I tried using the empty spaces between the shapes (where the arrows point anyway) which gives a 6x4 grid, but I only got gibberish...
Also tried a lot of combinations with the numbers corresponding to shapes but nope..

    ReplyDelete
  101. All these hints and I'm still stuck at level 13... totally clueless.

    ReplyDelete
  102. NVM, got that one. 14 now

    ReplyDelete
  103. for all on 16 imagine a net over the shapes the arrows point to an intersection

    ReplyDelete
  104. What an illogical, vague, lousy level this 16.
    Doubtfully looking forward to more...

    ReplyDelete
  105. Anyway, thanks @mtatt100 for that hint. That helped.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Just a note to clear up a thing or two: all 20 levels passed through a beta-tester before publication. So they are, at the very least, solvable ;)

    ReplyDelete
  107. A lot more clues now on the Synchronicity forum.

Trouble is, I'm back at work this week and I don't have so much time to think "puzzles".

It would be nice if someone would tell me if ANY of my ideas (above) are even slightly near to correct.

@mtatt100; would you mind repeating that last post of yours but with punctuation? Are you talking about a net which is the shape of the arrows, or should there be a full stop after "shapes"? (not that it helps me much - I don.t understand what you mean by "shapes".)

    ReplyDelete
  108. just place a net over all the shapes. Then your arrows will point to an intersection.Look around at that point.

    ReplyDelete
  109. hm... my word for 17 is not working
    i'll look again

    ReplyDelete
  110. mtatt I look around and add the values? So if straight line is 1 what is the circle?

    ReplyDelete
  111. not a straight line it's called a digon

    ReplyDelete
  112. And what the hell is that supposed to mean???
Well I mean I learned now but never heard it before..
Anyway Thank You Very Much @mtatt. Had been stuck there for ages.
And btw this doesn't look much like a digon

    ReplyDelete
  113. I'm sorry, I'm normally good at picking things up and getting peoples' hints, but I am totally clueless here, and after reading all the hints and staring at the screen for hours I have got nowhere :(
can anybody simplify 16 for me please?

    ReplyDelete
  114. @nighty, maybe this screenshot can help you to understand level 16 better.

2 more things to keep in mind:
    - the missing clue that the author kept for himself might be intersections.
    - (many) answers in this riddle are NOT normal as the description states.

    ReplyDelete
  115. thanks, that actually helped, I've got it now lol

    ReplyDelete
  116. @Edgar:
This net isn't really the correct way to see this level, you misunderstood one of the hints. But don't worry, the level is now changed to be more clear in how to see it ;)

Also, I'm guessing that your definition of 'normal' is a rather curious one ;p

    ReplyDelete
  117. But what hints? The level didn't have any?!

    ReplyDelete
  118. I gave some on the forum and Nordinho, also explaining why it's problematic to calibrate the difficulty of those levels.

But please, do continue, I'm enjoying your rants on me :D

    ReplyDelete
  119. Ideas for 17, only tried a few things so far, none have been successful :(

    ReplyDelete
  120. I was not really asking MAd Phantom. Don't you worry as well. I know what hints you mean. It's exactly what I talk about and what I've said since a long time ago.
A good game should be self-standing... self-sufficient. And the moment you felt you, as the author of the game, or any of the beta-testers (Tynka, right?), needed to give extra hints for it, the very same moment you yourself proved it was unsolvable ;)

    ReplyDelete
  121. Edgar, I said many times that this game is 'experimental'. Is this word also abnormal? It means that some trail and error, as well as changes, will be involved in its creation. So if a level doesn't work as planned it gets changed. It happened on a couple of levels, now also including 16.

I never said that Tynka required a hint for 16, I have no idea where did you get this from. I also never said that 16 can't be solved without any hints, I just concluded that it turned out too difficult for this stage of the game, that's all.

Please, don't invent problems where there aren't any ;)

  122. But it's no rants at all, trust me on that. It's only my opinion on the games I have the right to express as a riddles lover. I've enjoyed many of the levels in your game, and the moment I feel something is not fun or good, I have to speak it out. No hard feelings please. See, I might not have many games authors as friends, but the few I do have know that they will have honesty from me, and not fake pats in the back. Hope you can understand and take my words as positive feedback instead.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Oh, discard the Tynka comment, misread you, sorry ;p

    ReplyDelete
  124. OK, have read you and get your point. No problem at all then :)
Will continue playing and solving the best I can and thoughts will still be given if needed.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I enjoy your honesty, but some of your remarks sound quite personal. Not "the level" or even "the game" but "the author". Maybe it's just your way of phrasing it, but if so, then let me give you a honest feedback: reconsider changing this syntax, as it can lead to misunderstanding, and muddle communication.

    ReplyDelete
  126. well I cast my net the same way and you actually gave the net hint

    ReplyDelete
  127. You are right. I've had many experiences where I've seen some authors deliberately keep important clues just to come out to become the hero saving the day for the people being stuck. I don't know you really, and when I see something slightly resembling to that attitude I speak in a way that it does seem personal. I will have to keep that in mind for the future. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Well, let it be said by the way @nighty. No ideas here for 17...

    ReplyDelete
  129. I actually dislike giving hints for my own levels, I want people to solve them on their own. But I also don't want them to do it too fast. And since I can't use weirdly phrased sentences in this game, that will make sense after many rereads, it can lead to balance issues. But in the end, as long as I get feedback, the offending levels will be improved upon. So yeah, please try 18, as this is the next suspect ;)

    ReplyDelete
  130. My point exactly. I don't mind playing getting a helpful hint from other players, but dislike very much getting it from the makers. No matter where riddles are played -here, Nordinho, Gamershood.. you name it- the riddling community is one only. And someone, somewhere, at any moment, has to solve it... struggling alone or in a team, but eventually the truly solvable levels will be solved.
And what's wrong with solving them fast? LOL
It's a little boring being stuck for days in a single level!!

    ReplyDelete
  131. I liked being stuck for days in Zest :P And note, that in every update I always do throw in some fast levels, for people who like them :D

    ReplyDelete
  132. LOL That means level 17 is a ball to make it to second base at least? Hmm, I wonder...

    ReplyDelete
  133. 17 is not that hard
use an idea from an old level

18 by other hand ... looks tought

  135. Mishu, which old level?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Not that I can remember which is which anyways lol...

    ReplyDelete
  137. I can only think of that one where we had to connect shapes to draw letters...

    ReplyDelete
  138. The only other I can think of is the one with the pyramids..

    ReplyDelete
  139. And it actually worked! Thanks @Mishu
    18 now.

    ReplyDelete
  140. @eilin, for 9:
    Hours-word
    Minutes-letter

    ReplyDelete
  141. @nighty, for 17, pair shapes.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Trying, still can't see it..

    ReplyDelete
  143. how are you doing @nighty?

    ReplyDelete
  144. Spilling all the beans before leaving.

For 17, 6 triangles there, right? Need to make 3 connections. Keep the orientation.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Well, thanks to those who have explained the net better - I was looking at the "gaps" between horizontal rows (where the arrows point) but I didn't think to do the same vertically.

However, I don't think I'm any better off. I now have to do maths with four numbers instead of just two; and I don't see the "holes" (or knots) that some people talked about. And the description of a "digon" is of no help - now I'm not sure if it represents #1 or #2.
Added to which there is no straight forward word - I still have to pick 5 letters out of a grid of twenty net intersections and anagram them.

Sorry, but without something more substantial I'm dropping out. I'm too tired now that I'm back at work to figure it all out.

    Leaving very disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Ashley, see edgar's spoilers at Edgar 1/9/12 12:24 PM for the grid, and 1/7/12 3:49 AM for numbers. pick the first intersection if one arrow, 2nd if 2. Count the numbers around that joint and add.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Got 16 and 17, thanks Mtatt and EDgar, stuck on 18.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Hmmm struggling with the pentagons Edgar, think I may have the others.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Hi Nighty, join similar shapes with similar orientations... pentagons gives you O.

    ReplyDelete
  150. 19: i print, i fold and i take what i consider but no answer
    ???

    ReplyDelete
  151. Still stuck on Lvl 18.

I replaced the middle boxes with the letters they represent.
Other than that I can't see what to do next.

Its annoying because it tends to keep me a day (at least) behind everyone else. Unless everyone else is also stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  152. If that can make you feel any better I am on 18 too @Ashley. I am mainly crowling behind...
I think that circle on top means we have to move clockwise, but where to start from? The circle on bottom stands out so maybe that would be a place to start...
Will try to follow the arrows starting from there and see what I'll get

    ReplyDelete
  153. Or maybe the circle doesn't mean clockwise but to turn the whole thing upside down...
Which would mean to follow the arrows on the opposite direction...
But that hasn't worked for me either so far..
    Anybody else here trying?

    ReplyDelete
  154. Now THAT is a good idea, al sal, - turning the whole picture around.
One suggestion on the Synchronicity forum said it reminded them of a scrabble board, with 5 people sitting around it. And the hint given was "what's the only thing that moves?"

The official Synchronicity forum is worth keeping watch on because they often give hints and/or discuss ideas that don't end up here on the EG24 forum.

    And in case anyone doesn't know where it is, go to;
    http://w11.zetaboards.com/Synchronicity/forum/3129909/
and click on the number of the level you are trying to solve.

I have to get back to work - I'll come back to this later. Have fun trying .. .. ..

    ReplyDelete
  155. GOT IT!!!
You have to turn clockwise to see the arrows but stay straight to follow them...
And after hundreds of trials on 18 finally going to 19...

    ReplyDelete
  156. Well done al sal.
Unfortunately, I don't fully understand what you mean - especially about the arrows.

And the corner positions; do they read from their left, or their right? ie I assume they have to "read the board" from the side on their left or the side on their right - yes?

Then; which "player" starts, and where do they start from?

Following the Forum recommendation, last night I did a copy & paste of all of the clues & hints in both forums, but it was no real help.

I'm sure its easy - right there in front of me ... ... but I can't see it.

    ReplyDelete
  157. NVM. I did some wild guessing and struck it "lucky".

(Actually, I drew up a larger grid, then followed your instructions, al sal, as best I could, and found the trail fitted perfectly on the 3x5 grid. After that, it was see what letter I could use from each possible starting point and fee them to an anagram solver.)

    Lvl 19 >>>

    ReplyDelete
  158. HA!
We have to GET there first MP.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Hi Al sal and Ashley, I see you are still playing and got 18. However I am still stuck there, where is the starting point and how to move about, do i have to turn the arrows clockwise to get inside the grid?

Please a bit clearer with the hints, thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  160. @faitu I'll try to be as clear as I can.
The starting point is the circle. Starting from there you have to follow the arrows.
First imagine you are standing in the middle of the board(ignore the squares-letters for a moment)and turn around clockwise. Now starting from the outer circle note the arrows as you see them.
Now go back to looking the grid and follow the arrows (as noted) without changing point of view this time. You should start from the circle and after following all the arrows end up to the circle again.
For me it helped to do it backwards as well
    Now hurry up to 19..

    ReplyDelete
  161. @hi faltu!!

tks to @al sal and @ asley for the hints. My dooh moment still not comes
With all your explanation I try to do:
the first letter that I would then pick is N?

    ReplyDelete
  162. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Thank you very much Al sal, got 18.

Lulu, no. Follow Al sal letter by letter you should get it.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I understand 19 is similar to 13, we have to construct pyramids and to determine opposite faces of the shaded ones, but cannot construct the pyramids, will try later.

    ReplyDelete
  165. The shapes on lvl 19 are not exactly pyramids, more like two pyramids one on the other (don't know the name of that solid)
I haven't found yet a relationship between the given numbers and I wonder why the rest of the triangles (including the 5 shaded that represent our letters) are numbered 1-4 for each "solid"
Anyway the "opposites" if you fold into solids don't work

    ReplyDelete
  166. 1st, @ Lulu - draw up a grid on paper, 3 squares high and about 8 to 10 wide.
Next start in the centre and follow the arrows from the puzzle. They will seem to follow a maze which crosses over itself. Mark a cross every time you stop. You should end up with 5 crosses (NOT on the starting square, which threw me for a while). The whole maze track will fit in a 3x5 grid. Transfer your crosses to the puzzle grid, and see what letters you get.
NOTE WELL: There are more than one set of letters that fit the maze path. Try them all.

Now I have to go out to church (Sunday morning here) but I'll be back later - a couple of you have given me some ideas to try.

    ReplyDelete
  167. MMmmm - well my other ideas didn't work.

Problems; Even if I make up the pyramids, the four "tags" underneath don't match up (well not completely, anyway).
And are they just marked as #1, #2, #3 & #4? (as identification) or are they "minus" 1,2,3,4 - and if so, "minus" from what?

    Stumped without some more ideas.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Thank you for all hints
@Ashley, I tried doing the way you explained me, but I was insisting on an error to start with the arrows ...
If not faltu, I'd be there until now..LOL
    tks

    ReplyDelete
  169. For 19, it is a net of octahedron but opposite faces do not work.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Sadly, this riddle seems to have come to a halt at Level 19.
No-one seems to be playing - have they all given up?

I have said I'm stuck but there are no more forthcoming hints - either on this forum or the official forum.

I'll keep monitoring for a few more days but otherwise, sadly, I withdraw.

@ MP, if you're still monitoring; I must say I like this riddle better than some of the others I tried. More basic logic and less knowledge to be added (in my view).
Thanks for as far as I got.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Stuck on 19 Mishu and haven't taken a look for days...

    ReplyDelete
  172. There are some players on level 26 now, so everything is going fine. Also, as a side note: presented here way to solve 18 is not the intended one. The 'real' one is a lot simpler, and does not require trial and error :P
