Tell me girls, to have the toothpast, i must put the yellow tile in past. But to go in past, i need the crowbar to take the diary. Hi Drisana, I don't remember, but I supposed that I played Gas Mode with Cyan Key - blue tile was next to Coffee Maker, and I used the green tile with tree which was in Lounge, and red key from TV I took without crowbar(?)- I will try to check this

I have method for Gas Mode - when each room is full of gas, I immediately go there and I use Blue Potion - after this Save Game - if something do wrong I always could Load game and I trying once again
also with puzzle - before I begin solve it, I save my game, check out what have to do, I make screen with needed things, and when I have all information, Loading Game and then solve it
this way I don't lose time :)

In fact you have to collect 4 diamonds, then do the puzzle in the worship room. It gives the id card. There turn off the switch and gas is stopped.

ReplyDeleteTo get the Toothpaste in Gas Mode
Use the Rat Tile in present as usual, Cyan Key Mode, then use the Red Puzzle piece in the 2F Office in the past to get the Second Rat Tile and use this one to get the Toothpaste in the past. This will get you Photo Piece #7.
For Photo Piece #5
You do have to save the Red Puzzle piece for the Purple Key Guest Room Bath. I never found Toothpaste in this mode, but the Photo saved in my Collection!
And now I'm plunging in to see where @grzegania has been forging ahead!

Do we still have to get the Golden key from the Clock?

Now i have music sheet, crowbar, toilet brush, flashlight, diary, and the luban lock... And i'm stuck ! Can't find lighter to take the gold medal, can't go in past so can't take missing tap and i only got 3 diamonds so no worship diamond puzzle ...
BTW @Zoz mentionned a new view in gas mode in pink master room (pink cupboard and seat). There is another new view from this one with another vial click upper left corner
ReplyDeleteAnother "little bug" I'm playing the way i described above. Then gas came to 2F blue bathroom. As you know i'm looking for the blue/green diamond (pink also). In the "automatic view" of gas spread in this room, i can see the diamond in the sink as in the "usual" version. But it's not there and i'm still looking for it ;)
ReplyDelete@Drisana, as I remember it, the Diary can be found in the present in front of the computer in the 2F Manager's office (where you find the Battery in Normal White Key games). It's very dark, but it's just in front of the computer screen. I hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteI just finished a Cyan/Gas Mode, ending two, so that must be where the Photo Piece #2 is found. What I did was use Purple key, then red puzzle piece for Green diamond (I did not take the Photo piece #5), then went directly to Worship room and entered all four diamonds for the ID card.
When I went in the ID room, I did not have any CD, so I pulled the lever and it cut power (which I think you already found @Drisana)
Fortunately, I saved earlier, so I'm going to go back and look for the faucet so I can get the Bronze medal. Wish me luck!

ReplyDelete- I took the first 2 diamonds (white purple) in boxes, then "called" the girl in worship room, it opened slots (purple key).
- I put blocks above painting which gave me yellow diamond.
- I used red puzzle in 2f office so i got the 2nd rat tile.
- No can't go in past (nor gold/wood key) to put rat tile, or get toothpast, and no 4th diamond to put in worship room...
Pfff sorry for false hope !... I HAVE the wood key :) another blond moment....

I will try describe what I did, but it take some time :)
ReplyDeleteI just got photo #2 using grzegania's hints -- when you get in the partition in white key mode (gas mode), don't just grab the red key. Instead go get the crowbar and then use it to get the key and you'll also get the lighter. Then you can light the fireplace and get the code for the clock/luban key hole. Once you open that the key will be in the stool.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anybody asked this yet, but when you are playing in normal Cyan mode and you are able to get the golden key, I thought I saw a slot in the floor of the Art Room that looks like it would fit a puzzle piece (when you turn the light off). I think we used the silver medal in the floor to get the picture piece, but there must be some way to bring a puzzle piece into the past and put it there.

-- decline her help with the Secret Chamber access from the Kitchen (not always an option if you already have the Blue Puzzle piece and White Key and Red Key)
-- In Purple Single Room
---- accept her first offer
---- decline her first offer
------ go do everything else possible before coming back to either accept or decline her second offer
------ accept or decline second offer right after declining her first offer
-- If you accept either offer, you'll get the Jacky C. CD and then she'll bring you the Pink Diamond. If you refuse both offers, don't even bother playing the CD!
I've also tried finishing a Normal Mode White Game but not submitting score in the hope that the Girl might come along with a Gold Key.
I have not been able to play a Normal Mode White Key game using the Rat Tile in the past, since I always seem to need the torch battery.
i agree that we somehow need to be able to put the completed Luban Block in the hole in the floor of 1F Art Room after solving the first Tao. Previously, I kept the Silver Medal after this point and put it in the 2F Pink BR bath then closed it off, but never got anywhere after that.
I need my life back!!!

ReplyDeleteWent to see the girl, declined offer. Took white key (otherwise you'll get cyan key), go to see her again, choose "only check the room" then i did everything as usual (i've bad feeling that i'm always doing the same....).
So she's still in the pink room, i've 4 diamonds and without her bringing the pink diamond i don't know what to do.
The confusing part is that the hint was that you have to activate all the plot with the girl, which makes me think that you have to have her show up in every possible place and pick the right answer. I forget, is the wood key somewhere in white key mode?

We found the wood key with white key in gas mode. But we had colored notes when "burning" music sheet.

The first time we accept her help, she gives the blue puzzle piece, when you try to get the red key, she gives the red tile. Then the secret place in kitchen she gives silver medal and torch if you don't already have it. WHen you free her when she's stuck, she will give the lighter if you don't have it.

ReplyDelete@laura, slide your mouse along the calendar and some symbols should appear over certain numbers. The color for each symbol combined with its number is the key to solving the puzzle.

@Zoz and @Drisana....I have been diligently making my way through the mysteries of this house and so far have only completed white key, cyan end and awake end...but thanks to your detailed lifesaving comments I have been able to *unstick* myself and continue on...lol! I do have a really, really stupid question: I have started mirror mode and understand the concept of shooting the creatures; however, the instructions say press *numeric* keys to change bullets, so I press numeric keys but no bullets and I run out of bullets and lose :P How in the world do I change bullets...you understand why I waited to ask such an idiotic question...my grandson could probably figure this one out...pffftttt!!!! At least I don't have to re-start the game 20 times...fixed adobe settings and I can now turn off my computer and load saved games :D Thank you to everyone for all of your great hints :) Zoz...I have a feeling I am going to be stuck in this *dream* for the next six months...lol ;)
ReplyDeleteIt reload only if you still have bullets in inventory. To be more precise, it's more a switch your ammo than a reload !
ReplyDeleteWhat id did is mixing a+b+c powders to make mega ammo ;) 1 shot to kill a monster. But you have to look at the map to avoid monsters (sometimes, you can choose a way where there are less).
To reload, i just press numeric key above letters ( 1 for normal ammo, 2 for another type... 4 for my mega blast a+b+c etc... ). You can also find powder during the game ;)
Aw thank you Drisana :) I was pressing the numeric keys above the letters but I was completely out of ammo when I did it so no wonder I lost...loved your find re: solving the clock in 1F :) When I first played, I thought I was so clever because after finding the billiard balls with the numbers/colors, I was hoping that would open that puzzle up. But then I thought...this is Dream House...nothing is THAT simple...lol!!!! Thanks again for answering my very mundane question :) I think I need to take a little break to refresh my grey matter :/ I have been playing this game for different ends but lost track of how many hours I have been staring at the screen :)

ReplyDeleteI found photo piece 3, following hint from Drisana I think, but don't have lighter to get clock clue ... girl gave me red key so no lighter in partition, there was no lighter with crowbar, and used blue puzzle piece in room off porch to get photo piece, so no lighter from girl in kitchen.... anywhere else to get lighter???
(btw, I don't know how you all figured out everything you did!!! I would have never thought to try red key instead of mahjong code on that door!!!)
ReplyDeletewell, I was just playing along all happy today and I thought I was nearing a (maybe) breakthrough when.... we had a huge storm and the power went out for TEN HOURS!. So now let's see where I was and whether something good was going to happen (I'm not counting on it, as I was in Cyan mode).

ReplyDeletealas, no breakthrough for me. I did discover that you can get the Yellow Diamond with the Sprayer after adding coffee or before by spraying the Bronze medal area, without putting the Silver Medal in place. If you already have four diamonds before getting the Yellow, it does ask if you want to submit your results.
ReplyDeleteI tried it several ways - in one, I got the Pink Diamond first from the 1F Purple Single Room clock. In another, I got the Yellow Diamond from the Bronze Medal place and then put my four Diamonds in the Worship Room Puzzle. That gave me a Pink Diamond. Then, when I went to the 1F Purple Single Room and solved the Clock I got... another Pink Diamond. Solving the 2nd Yin/Yang gave me nothing, and I never got the last fragment of the last Building Block.
I have done everything short of listening to the Jacky Cheung CD, and I just can't do that one more time! I certainly hope this Sequel is good!!!
I'm really, really tired playing the same game :D I begin to suspect that the Author doesn't remember how we can activate White Key/Gold Key mode LoL

I agree with you @grzezgania. I don't think I can come up with any more ways to "activate the full plot with the girl" and "answer her questions so she thinks I'm a veteran". I'm starting to think the Sequel is just some scenes with questions being answered, or something lame.

ReplyDeleteThe sequel had better be good after all the effort you all have spent trying to get there! But it is beginning to seem impossible without more hints. I gave a couple tries at finding normal/white/gold but didn't get any further. (just tried: accept 2nd offer of help in purple single room; reach for red key without crowbar, say 'everything okay', then get with crowbar;don't let her go in kitchen passage at all; wandered around a bit after girl gave pink diamond after CD) Seems like too many possible combinations of answers to try them all... also not sure how to call girl for block slots puzzle in white mode... can't get on back porch without cyan key? maybe remembering wrong where to call from)

First, trigger the plot of the secret passages. Let the girl trapped in the secret passages and dont rescue her for this moment. Choose the dialogue option "Ok, i will do my best to keep it going on." (something like this)
ReplyDeleteSecond, use three blocks to unlock the password of the Chemical door in order to rescue the girl.
Third, go to pink master bedroom of the second floor . Move the cabinet to expose the device , and then put the silver medal into the device to release the gas. The girl will come to rescue you after you wait for the HP more than half an hour . She will give you the woodcarving key at the same time. From now on, the branch of golden key start.
PS. the maker gave me this information after above and i dont know the order of the information i should put so you just judge by yourself.
There are two necessary conditions
(2) the girl plays the piano
(3) trigger help the girl get the red key of the dialogue, and you choose the option " Everything goes well" --(something like this)

ReplyDeletethe maker release the fixed ver. so if you use the auto save function, you have to move the file to not auto function file. the fixed ver. will save the game automatically.

ReplyDelete@laura, I just keep getting "bad end". I must need to do some other things first. I got the Girl to play the piano, got her stuck in the Secret Chamber and then rescued her, but I haven't gotten the diary or the Pink Diamond (from music CDs) or gone to the past.

zoz, I know I hadn't gone to the past before the gas leak, I remember thinking that. I also hadn't gotten diary or pink diamond. Only other note I made was that I accepted her help the first time she asked in purple single room. For tiles I used red, bone and egg... I think I hadn't even been up in the 3rd floor piano room... Wish I had saved a copy of game before gas leak so I could try again to see if I remember...

I just got it again playing White Key trying to get Wood Key. After releasing the girl I returned to the Kitchen and clicked where the blue puzzle piece is placed and got the key fragment.

@grzegania, Thanks that's brilliant! How did you work it out? I read clues about Do-Re-Mi but couldn't tie those to what I was seeing with the notes and clock numbers.

ReplyDeleteSooo, frustrated! Fell asleep at computer last night, went to bed. Got up and played through until I had finished 2nd Yin/Yang in White Key/Gold Key and my browser froze and game was not saved (even though there is an "autosave" slot).

Still, I'm very happy to see that @Drisana and @grzegania have finished, especially after all the help you have given me!

Haven't played ANYTHING for 2 weeks, and no, I haven't perceived any sign of a withdrawal syndrome (yet, thank goodness! =D)
Most probably, I won't start "escaping" again until the beginning of July. Feels quite nice being "normal" again for awhile, watching big screens on the streets with lots of real (usually joyful) people!
So I can say I'm "escaping" too currently, but not the way you think I do. Escaping from virtual world, is more like it.
So congratulations to you guys for cracking this one with its 8749 different combined ways to go...It must be aeons ago that I saw comments almost touching the 800...

In case anyone is as good at finding how NOT to do things as I am:
ReplyDeleteI tried at least a dozen variations leading up to using the Silver coin to get the Wood key from the Girl, and I got a BAD END every single time. The only thing that has reliably worked for me is to
1. Move the cabinet in the Pink BR
2. Go through the Bathroom and into the Reception Room, unlocking the Bathroom door as you go.
3. Leave the Reception Room. (I moved the cabinet just after getting the red key from behind TV, before going to the Kitchen, etc).
4. Re-enter Bathroom by going through the Reception Room (if you haven't moved the cabinet, the Medal Slots will still be visible).
5. Put the Silver Medal in, back up, and wait for the Girl.
It doesn't seem to matter
-- if you answer "Yes" to the Girl's first or second offer of help in the Purple Single Room
-- if you get all the Blocks before using the Silver Medal
-- if you use the Toilet brush and toothpaste to get the 5 digit code before using the Silver Medal
-- if you look at the Clue Paper in the 1F Guest Room
-- if you take the Code for the Luban Block from the 3F Art room before seeing the Diary (or using the Silver Medal)
-- if you take the Blue Cord from the Bathroom before using the Silver Medal
-- if you unlock the door to the Reception Room but don't go through the door and exit the Reception Room before returning to use the Silver Medal.
Believe me, I tried all the variations and then some. Maybe it's just on my computer, but the method above (especially steps 2 and 3) proved to be the only way for the Girl to save me after I placed the Silver Medal.
I hope this saves someone else a lot of time and frustration!

just got piece 7, the first I've gotten from gas mode... wasn't going to try those since you all discovered sequel less than exciting, but just can't quite tear myself away from this game... hate the time pressure of gas mode, always have to play a normal one after for fun! But thanks to whoever pointed out that time stops when inventory items are opened.... I do that for solving puzzles and/or plotting my next move...
so close to getting piece 5 but stuck.... in case any experts are still here, I think I need to do diamond puzzle for ID to shut off power... have all but pink diamond, but I can't retrieve purple one from wall without getting trapped in office ... can I find pink diamond? or how to get purple one? (no red key because no CD... no manager code because no toothpaste... of course shutting cabinet would solve problem another way... )

ReplyDeleteAs I remember it, photo piece #5 came from Branch 2 Gas Mode. You have to use the Red Puzzle piece (from above the light on the back porch) in the Purple Key Guest Bath to get the photo piece.
Also, in Gas mode, once you take the purple diamond out of the cinder block wall, the door to the 2F DR becomes 2 way! (I have to thank @Drisana for that priceless piece of information).
If you're still around and need more help, I keep checking for another 10 minutes or so.
Oh, and I think the Pink Diamond came from the Worship Room puzzle in the game where you get Photo piece #5. Good luck!

I did see that priceless bit of info while I was playing for piece 2... never would have figured that out since it's only in gas mode! but then found my piece 5 game hadn't saved, so I'll try again tomorrow! Have all but 5 and 8 now, so maybe I'll make it through... getting more used to gas mode... thanks for all the help!

ReplyDelete@laura, there is a way around that autosave problem. You can save your game in another slot at pivotal points along the way. That way, you can go back to a specific place if you want to change the way you did something.
