Wow! Tomatea yesterday and Hottategoya today!
ReplyDeleteThe good week started with Esklavos:)
ReplyDeleteanyone there? having troubles with the 6 button locker. Grid I have managed...
ReplyDeleteWorking on it, Marcel. Got the other one open and got screwdriver bit.
ReplyDeleteClue on the middle of the tall three-door locker gives order to open the doors of the tall four-door locker, which in turn opens the middle door of the three-door locker. Look for the levels of the shelves in the 4-door locker.
ReplyDeletesame here kernowman...
ReplyDeleteGames are short and sweet today.
ReplyDeletegreat find clodagh....now stuck with screwed box, piece of screwdriver and still getting confused about the 6 button locker...why there are repeated roman numerals?
ReplyDeleteThe green lines grid relates to the benches. Orientate yourself with the top left one that has only two.
ReplyDeleteI'm in same place as you Marcel. I'm thinking we have to link the lockers a bit like dominoes, but I'm not sure how at the moment.
ReplyDeleteFor the 6-button, look at how the lockers repeat 2,3,4 and 5. The open locker that matches the original 1 through 6 is the correct position of that number. In other words, 3 is NOT the upper left corner...
ReplyDeleteFor the 6 button door, look at what can't be there on the next step.
ReplyDeleteFor example door 1/2 is the two right ones, but on door 2/3 it's the bottom two right ones. So step 1 is top right, step two is bottom right etc.
Oh dear, I'm really struggling to understand what you mean, 1054ce and SmallTool.
ReplyDeleteThis is step one and step two
ReplyDeleteoox
oox
So it has to be one of those x's
This is step two and three
ooo
oxx
The only x that's the same is bottom right, so that has to be step 2.
Clodagh - the first cabinet, Roman numeral 1 & 2, the open doors show the positions for the first and second numbers. Top work out which one is which, go to cabinet with Roman numerals 2 & 3. The one that is the same on both has to be 2, so back on the first cabinet the other open door is 1. Work through till you have the order for 6 clicks, each button once.
ReplyDelete??? my brain has stopped working...or maybe im in the office for too long....LOL
ReplyDeleteDeep breath and having another go...
ReplyDeleteThank you 1054ce, Smalltool and Kernowman for your hints for that 6button cabinet - I got it! It sort of was like dominoes in a way, sort of, like - you know...

could someone PLEASE just spoil that 6 button locker? I am so confused.
ReplyDeleteLOL, should refresh first I guess. Thanks Prakta
ReplyDeletethanks for the help guys...feel so stupid on this one...the strange locker room part 1 was done without any walkthrough or spoiler...
ReplyDeleteSo, the 6 button locker, how did you figure the key? Is this a common puzzle? I'd never have though of anding them without a hint.
ReplyDeleteI've tried again and again, even with the explanations, but the 6 buttons locker doesn't make sense for me.
ReplyDeletePOP worked this time.
ReplyDeleteConsider the lockers in this order :
I - II
II - III
III - IV
IV - V
V - VI
Click the 2 buttons shown on the I - II locker.
Then look at the next locker and simply IGNORE the button you've already clicked previously.
So, if the buttons are
1 2 3
4 5 6
the order is 3 6 5 1 4 2
1. Look at the I/II locker: Open is up right (= I) and down right (=II).
ReplyDelete2. Look at the II/III locker. Open is down right and down middle. Down right is II (see I/II locker), so III is down middle.
3. Look at the III/IV locker. Open is down middle (= III) and top left, so IV is top left.
4. ...
SPOILERS for the other puzzles:
ReplyDeleteGreen lines = benches, top left with only 2 as orientation.
(V=vertical, H=horizontal)
V-H-V
H-H-V
H-V-H
Lockers
(note shelf level in each locker by following hint on middle locker in other scene)
open order
3rd-1st-4th-1st-4th-2nd
OK, my approach...
ReplyDeleteLocker combination is 6 steps, A B C D E F, "performed" by three pairs (A B), (C D), and (E F).
Each *adjoining* locker cabinet (last Roman numeral of first locker must match with first numeral of second locker e. g. I/II , II/III) will determine which of the fields - indicated by the open lockers - comes first.
It's a kind of subtraction algorithm: look at small-tools "drawing". If you imagine both drawings on transparent foil, and LAYER these, there is one 'x' that appears on both foils at the same location.
This is the SECOND of the pair. So with first pair (A,B) you have found B. To fulfil the pair---and to find A---go back to locker I/II, remember what B was - and assign the remaining of the two (it's always only two open) to A.
Same with (II/III , III/IV), (IV/V, V/VI).
Nice one. Two good games from Hottategoya in a row. Here's hoping they're finding their good old ways again.
ReplyDeleteClear, i did alone!!! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI got out without help!!! This was very clever!
ReplyDeleteI like Hottategoya but don't enjoy their games with repetitive rows of things such as doors, lockers, tables, doors. Don't play those anymore.
ReplyDeletewoo! that was a bit tricky but finally got it! Good one!
