you need the key, it's by the window.
Found a book, piece of paper with the word pass on it and a formula, a box cutter, key which opened the drawer which gave me another formula sheet, and a glass.
where is the umbrella and the battery?
the umbrella is behind the colored drawer,in the left side,and the battery beneath the bed,next to the drawer.you have to use the umbella to get it.there is also a round shape next to the bin
I was able to cut the pictire down with the knife
and after you water the plant,you get the second ring
The only thing under the bed was the journal written in a foreign language.
If you cut down the picture, there is an indentation behind it with symbols that change as you turn the wheel by the bins.
Be careful that yellow bar doesn't run out or the game is over. You must sleep to regenerate yourself. You do this by clicking on the pillow and then selecting the top option.
Still haven't found the battery or the water to fill the glass with

behind the head of the bed, there is some kind of remote control that you can turn over and put a battery in if I could only find it.. Hint hint hint.
If you look at the pass paper at night it gives you VII which I turned the wheel to but nothing so far.

I've discover how to fill the glass. Near the bed there's a mark on the floor. Afther some days, there's whater in this place, so we have to put the cup.

That strange thing is a wireless modem, I think. I've put in the the back of the electronic device that you put the battery in. Does anyone know the code to turn on this device?

Okay - it was game over (I forgot to sleep) and now I've got the pass that you mentioned. Apparently there could be different passes when you play this game...
The pass paper has a number followed by a ! (factorial)

The password for the game does not work for me. I wonder if it is different every time? And I can;t figure out the 2nd paper...it isays something like (square root) 2 over (square root) V, II, VII, (square root) VII, and the other one says I/V X 10V - IV. I don;t know anymore which one I need.

Lorena, the battery is under the carpet in front of the exit door. It isn't looks like a battery. It is white, whit some cross.
I also noticed that one ring could be in different locations. The first time I found one of the rings in the plant, then watered the plant and the other ring turned up there as well.
This time I watered the plant and found the ring there. But the other ring was underneath the bed.
I also was able to drink some water and my yellow bar went up
And my pass is (square root of V + VI)to the power of V + III

V is equal to 4. I was thinking Roman numbers, so I don't know why V is 4. Maybe someone could explain that to you :-)
the passwords and formulas do change. turning the wheel to the corresponding character, such as V, changes the symbol behind the picture. alas, it looks like the numbers are in japanese. anyone know a japanese character to number translation?
The first ring corrolates to the opening of the umbrella. And shouldn't VII be 7 and not 9 although the 9! code did work?
Christine, that white paper you found under the carpet is no paper. It IS the battery. Took me a while to get it also. Try putting it in the device you found behind the bed

nah, the roman numerals correspond to the changing symbols on the wall behind the picture. but i've no idea what the hell they are. tried translating the comment when i clicked on it and it said: "Chinese character has surfaced....". so, am i supposed to know chinese numerals in a japanese game hosted on a russian site?
this is getting far to multilingual for me.

The V-4 equation is on the last page of the diary. Now if only I knew what III stood for.

I found mine on top of the plant at night. It might depend where you open it, but I went to the plant because I had found it before and died and it wasn't there. Then I opened my umbrella and it was there.

I have two. You get the second one after watering the plant and sleeping.
In the notebook you have to click and click and click (past the bloodstains) and then is says that V = 4.
Still don't understand why VII is 7.

The thing beside the blue box is the lock that was on the box.
Wow!! I discovered!!! I'm not so stupid. Guys, when you click on the game, you have the place when we put the battery, ok? To the righ of this place there's a square. Click in the thing that we foud on the blue box, and click on this square. Its conect!!!!

I have 2 rings one silver and one gold. The gold one flew off of the umbrella. The silver one was found in the plant. I only know one of the symbols on the wall the first one translates to rain. I can't figure out what the rings are for or where they go.

OK, I know V=4 I just need to know what III and VI = ...9! did not work for me
You have to click the carpet and then you get the same options as the bed. Choose the upper one and the carpet will pull back. I could get the options at night, but the carpet didn't pull back. So I went to sleep, it's morning and the carpet pulled back.
You will find some kind of safe?
The rings fit on the green box. Then you have to have another code. The characters look the same as the characters in file 2 in the computer thing.

amanda i found the gold ring after opening the umbrella, then i clicked on the green bin, looking down into the bin, i saw above the lip of the bin a ring. it seems it turns up in different places, depending on where you are when you open the umbrella. i was beside the bed.
Did you try opening the umbrella dna then looking above the waste basket?

i'm giving up until someone can figure out what arabic numerals the roman numerals correspond to. i know they match the wheel, and the wheel changes the characters behind the picture. but those characters don't match any translations i've been able to find for japanese or chinese. i'm stumped.

To find the gold ring, open the umbrella. It depends where you open it to where you will find it. I found mine behind the garbage can. Click on the garbage can opening and then you will see it behind it.
I was able to get the carpet up, I had to use a water glass that is full to do it.

You have to have the close-up of the carpet (how you found the battery). Then click somewhere in the middle of the carpet. You will get the same kind of option as with the bed. (A gray box). Choose first option. Then the carpet will pull away. Open the thing you see and inside there is a green box.
For the code of the green box I can only make out the Japanese letter 4.

The first number/symbol looks like the chinese 4 and the third number looks like thw chinese 3. After that I'm out. Of ideas not the room.

Oh the shelves, on the top righ there's something that looks like a manch. This thing change the symbols from I to VII. Each time when we change the symbol, the symbol on the other wall changes too.
The symbols on the box correspond to the symbols in File.2 on the little hand held computer.

Okay, the green box was driving me crazy. So I went looking for clues :-)
Apparently the symbols in the green box represent:
books
cups
leafs
and words (on the wall)
This is a translation I found that could be useful:
The Story:
It happened when winter was ending and signs of spring was showing up. He caught a cold but didn't think it was a big deal. So he just took some cold medicine to address it. But he never got well even after a month and half. So, finally, he decided to head to a hospital. He was diagnosed with just a common cold but the symptoms didn't look like just a cold. On the way home he looks up the sky and thinks, "Maybe the messenger from heaven is calling me."
The scene cuts to him home. His wife (I think) is telling him to rest well while she goes for shopping. After she leaves, he lamments that he couldn't tell her maybe he's dying.
After a while he sleeps and wakes up wondering how long he'd slept. It's awfully quiet. When he opens his eyes, he can't move. The green monster shows up and takes him to the room.
The escape starts...

After thinking about it for a while. I figured it out. The answer is 8.

Another guy is brought to the room. Two of them tries to escape unsuccessfully. The guy goes wild and hit the door repeatedly and stuff. The green monster appears and takes him away.

You need to find 2 Rings and 4 digits in order to open a Green Safe
1. The Number of the coffee cups in the room
2. The Number of books in the room
3. The Number of the leafs on the plant in the room
4.The Number of words shown on the wall

okay, so what does the key from the green safe go to?
1: Click on green bin and get letter
2: Click on the red drawer and get jar
3: Click on the yellow drawer to get the knife
4: Go to the photo frame and click on the knife- then click on the frame a few times until it comes off
5: The symbol should look like this "雨" to indicate rain
6: Click behind the drawers until you find the umbrella
7: Go under the bed and use umbrella on the diary then behind the bed to get the pager
8: Where the plant is in view click the carpet and get the battery
9: Click on the window handle then on the white part to get a key
10: Click on the locked draw next to the bed to show a safe
11: The password to this is 2793
12: Collect the item from the safe and click on the pager
13: Click the black square with writing and put in the battery and other item you just found
14: Depending on what your piece of paper said you should put in the password [i.e mine was pass= VIII which equals 362880. Or another one i had was I/V X 10v- V1 which equals 19988 and so on.
15: Now get some sleep and it should be raining! Put the jar under the dripping water and wait, then put it in the flowe pot. Do this twice to get one ring
16: Then click the umbrella and the "?" mark. Click to open it and depending on where you're standing the next ring should fall [mine was under the bed and behind the bin]
17: Click the carpet again and select the top option
18: Put the two rings in and then the password is as follows 4257
19: Get the key and click near the same place [note: MAKE SURE IT'S NIGHT TIME
20: Get the shoes and walk out
21: Choose the second door- top option

You must have gotten into the handheld computer device and checked the files and gotten the ring from the plant before you can even get the option for the carpet. And it has to have rained.
Where do you click after you have the shoes and it is at night. I got killed by the broccoli after I tried to go out in the rain and it didn't work. What am I doing wrong?
Nevermind about the clicking. It seems when it is raining, you can not go out. Guess the shoes are not water proof. This was a very challenging game.

You can get out at night when it's raining. Just use the umbrella :-)

Do you have a full glass of water in your inventory? I think you can only move the carpet when you have the glass of water.

Try clicking in the left quarter of the carpet about the middle. You should get a small window much like the pillow when you choose sleep. Then make sure you are holding a full glass of water, and the carpet will be pulled back. I am not sure what specifically triggers the rug thing, but makw sure you have looked at and done everything else including looking at the end of the diary and examining every paper.
okay the numbers for the green box dont work i put them in about 20times and the box wont open help anyone please

How do you figure out the passcode for the handheld?
My formula is:

Do i need to figure out what VI and III are? How do we know that II=7 and VII=9?

After opening the green box you'll find the key. When you click inside the green box again, it turns black and you will be able to go outside. That's where you'll find the green box.
Or maybe not inside the green box, but outside it...
ok so i got the shoes and everything but last time i went outside where the shoes are the brocoli lady killed me. does it need to be night or day? should it be raining or not? should i try and go out the upstairs door or the one where i found the shoes?
You have to go during the night (if you read back through the comments, you will find this piece of information already being mentioned). You have to go through the downstairs door. It doesn't matter if it rains or not, just use your umbrella when it does rain.

didn't see broccoli either :C and my hand is cramped from all the clicking. i was really frustrated at certain parts of the game like trying to find the shoes or figure out the passwords. The carpet thing didnt work for me until i read the comment about the full glass of water and realised when i thought i was clicking the glass of water I was actually clicking a paper. i found sleeping and waking up and trying the carpet or box for the shoes again worked.
You're not supposed to see the broccoli. You only see it when you make the wrong choices.
I've gotten as far as getting the gold ring. But I can't seem to have options pop out when I click the carpet =( What carpet do you click, exactly? The one by the door, cabinets, bed, or window? It seems that I need a full glass of water, too. I've tried to place the cup thing under the rain drops several times. Is it still possible to place it under the water for the 3rd time [1st and 2nd time to water the flower]??? Help!

GRRRRR....I am officially irritated.
I have read this column of entries three times through; that's every single entry three effing times. I have punched in every set of numbers i could find in these entries, including even the single digit numbers. In spite of this, I have yet to find a valid password to the palm pilot thing from under the bed. This is probably why I am not advancing in this games whatsoever.
I am now through with this game, and I think I may have done permanent damage to my monitor out of frustration.
This game deserves an F. Shame on whoever created this game from hell.
