I used
elephant = 4
pig = 2
alligator or crocodile = 4
But what animal did you use for 4th number?

Try what Gary said, use ruler on the wall to the left of where you use the key.
Ive gottebn 2 diffrent endings now a kings a normal gonna go look for 4 more coins as i only have 12

Ending 1 = smash front door with axe once in
Ending 2 = Hrm
Ending 3 = Use ruler on front door
Ending 4 = tea time

and special ending after you got 20 coins to finish with tea time end

The "special" ending is the tea break with Doara... you get the "regular" tea break ending if you get out the back way, but without 20 coins. So really there are 5 endings I've figured out:
1-smash front door with axe
2-smash round-ish window with axe
3-use ruler to open front door
4-tea break ending by yourself (less than 20 coins)
5-"special" tea break ending with Doara.

I played this game 3 times and only found 19 coins. I can't find a way to get the coin, if any, inside the tea powder can (Paul states it as step #13).

Put the lens into the flashlight and shine it on the four-paned window and you see three animals: elephant, pig, and alligator. You see that one is missing, so now go back to the pillows and click the left single pillow until you get a piece of the window paper that you can stick on the window, then shine the flashlight on it again and you will see all four animals. Then count the circles as explained above and you get the code for the box (4241).
Then go to box and use code. Take out gold key. Use key on wall safe. Get ball and click red button. It turns green and says “something was heard somewhere.” Take the ruler.

I got out on 1st try without any help. I got ending #1. I'm going back to see if I can get a different ending. :)
