oooohh gonna need help on this 1!

Ooooooooooooo never been here at the start so i have decided to register and join in with the chat. good luck everyone

hey hey. just starting.

whoohoo Lets go!

omg 5000 clicks on this stick

Wont load...oh....

Don't waste your time clicking the stick.. that's a silly way to win

You can see the same panels on the side of the display cases as in the first game.

ok so i got green gum from under the bench, used screwdriver on the hatch by the window, something out of reach, have a key and string not im stuck

pannels dont seem to do anything yet in this game tho :-( by the way, its good to be chatting with you diana, youve helped me out more time i care to remember.

got numbers on the paintings

long time to load

how did u get green gum?

nvmind got it

green gum under the bench use gold plate

put gum on clip then added string got disk!

dont know how but ive ended up with the glasses unlocked draw in office but need a code

Green gum on wire

got disk now too, got numbers on paintings, with the clue? Steady Decline????confused, still trying to work out the code in the office

used the disc in the office exhibit now unlocked

same here dave thought mayb the numbers declined but to many numbers

Put the disc in the slot above the desk and opened exhibition..checked out the panels and only one opened!

I unlocked exhibit as well but doesn't seem that any panels open. One opened in the beginning, though, the empty one.

Hi all. I've got the gum on to the pin, but I can't seem to find the string anywhere. Hint anyone?

yeah the 2 end ones on the right side open but they are empty, the code in the office has an R at the end, is that poss a clue?

String was in the office, I believe.

first aid box

have a gold key and glasses

after you unlock the exhibit you have to be emptyhanded to open the case

Anyone have any hints on the drawer code?

Hmmm, apparently I'm not 'brutely' enough to get into the office, lol.
I've tried the key but it won't work. Grrrr

hi people first time posting on here but just wondered what do you do with the green gum on wire with thread? also what is the code for the thing in the office?

NM, I'm in...

Use gum/wire/string to get something out of reach...check by the window.

not sure diana, its really starting to bug me now.

have to convert the numbers to letters somehow

thanks diana

Hi Everybody!
Where did you all see the number(s) in the painting(s)?

i know its probably fruitless but i am actually clicking the stick.....nothing else seems to b working....only 999 left now

diana did you mean the open vent? because i have clicked everywhere on there and it doesnt do anything...?

saintj,
You need the glasses from the display case to see the numbers.

aimz dont bother with the stick i did it and it made me restart

laura-
Yes, the open vent. There is something in there that you use the gum/wire/string on. You may miss it a couple times before you actually grab it.

I tried this, but they all look the same to me, with or without glasses...

codes codes codes...It's sunday morning, too early to be code cracking, dave! hehe...

ha thanx laura

saint-
Maybe make sure you view the glasses in your inventory first? To make sure you've put them on. Not sure.

thanks diana i have it now

got it...I didnt examine them..lol

Thanx Diana ;-))

im in UK its 11:09am, and yet still to early to be code cracking i agree, im almost at the point of cracking my head on my desk. Grrrrr

no prob :)

Think I need some brain food, i.e. breakfast. Good luck all!

Hmmm, where are the glasses?

maybe we missing something..... has anyone got the exhibit side cupboards open?

this code is driving me nuts lol. Maybe its the letters of the pictures name, if so..Im not an specialist for Van Gogh Pics..

cant get side doors open, still cant get the one side of screws off either, can access the electrial pannel but cant do anything with wires as used the paper clip with gum.

Taking a leaf out o Diana's book and going for some food.

where is the string can't find it in the office

The 'steady decline' clue could mean that the numbers should be read in descending order. But it's still not getting me anywhere.
By the way, Diana & DaveJ, thanks for the string hints.

Its on the table

saintj maybe you're on the right track. all the names were given in the first part, and there's a name on the one in the inventory..

Miranda, see Diana & DaveJ at 11:55 above...

urgh had enough will be back later

has anyone got the code yet?

heloed, you could be onto something there. Maybe we take the first initial of each painting and put them in descending order numerically...

heloed, if so....I didnt write them down (did you??) and Im not going to play the other one again...lol

I just went back to the first and went around the room clockwise starting from the door:

Still Life Vase with Twelve Sunflowers - 1889
Portrait of a Young Peasant - 1889
Starry Night - 1889
Le Moulin de la Galette - 1886
Still Life with Four Stone Bottles, Flask and White Cup - 1884
Self-Portrait with Dark Felt Hat - 1886
A Girl in the Street, Two Coaches in the Background - 1882
BLANK
The Potato Eaters - 1885
L'Arlesienne--Madame Ginoux - 1890
Four Cut Sunflowers - 1887

but then what do you do with that?

help with the string please, cant get to the office...

The portraits (listed with the numbers showed on them) are:

5 The Potato Eaters 1885
21 L'Arlesienne Madame Ginoux 1890
17 Four Cut Sunflowers 1887
29 Still Life Vase with Twelve Sunflowers 1889
1 Portrait of a Young Peasnt 1889
10 Starry Night 1889
7 Le Moulin de la Galette 1886
23 Still Life with Four Stone Bottles, Flask and White Cup 1884
3 Self Portrait with Dark Felt Hat 1886
22 A Girl in the Street, Two Coaches in the Background 1882

not that this helps me much right now but.... there are 11 spaces in the code in the desk, and including the gold plate we have and the paintings on th wall there are 11, 11 paintings 11 charactures in the code.

heloed beat me while i was trying to figure out how to log in!

and... i really don't know how the titles help.. :(

heloed, You're a darling ;-)) !!!!! Well, now lets go counting.......

to get into the office use the gold plate to swipe the lock on the door, then the string is inside the first aid box

thanks,Laura

yeah im not coming up with anything from that, its really starting to hurt my head now.

its ok xD

SSALFSLTSP!!!!!

Well that's that theory blown out of the water, lol.

well, still not further...the letters I get dont make sense...even if I order them from small to big..Anyone figured it out???

oosophibla

what letters did you get saintj?

maybe try those letters in backwards alphabetical order...?

Maybe 'steady decline' has something to do with the chronological order of when they were painted. I.E. VG gets older, therefore he's steadily declining.

oh no wait that wouldnt work would it because there is an r at the end ...... ????? confused

same as miranda: oosophibla..

Nope, that was rubbish as well :-).

AAAGHH

is it rambler? i thought it made sense, especially because the plate we have in the inventory is 1890, the last year.. and the letter we already have is the last letter

test ?

well it's four in the morning, so i'm to bed.. hope somebody figures it out!

it's driving me nuts

wow 4 in the morning???? its 12:15 here in the uk

nothing is working, ive even trie researching van gough on the net.

Grrr
I put albihposoor in an anagram maker
http://wordsmith.org/anagram/

Got me nowhere.

heloed, if the years were all different, we could maybe do something with them. And, what sense would that make of the numbering of the paintings?

Round & round & round we go!!!!

Rambler, you were right. It's ABOLISHPOOR

yes! finished but ive just realised when you click the stick 5000 times it does finish the game, because thats what i got when i done it, but oh well, i suppose that its funner to play it properly lol sorry

Gawd, I swear I tried that a dozen times. It looked right but wouldn't go. CAPS made it work. I would've finished ages ago.

jr, well done mate. Third part in a couple of weeks....

OUT!!! Thanx, for all your help!! BTW, did anybody use the gold key???
cu all ;D

lol abolish poor is the first thing that comes up in the anagram solver

good job guys

yeah CAPS helps lol, and out, thanks for the help, cant wait to see what the third one is like, and finaly out of the whole museum lol.

and No i didnt use the gold key either, probably need it in the third part.

the gold key was for the desk drawer, the original key from part 1 still hasn't been used :\

..........R ABOLISHPOOR IT WORKED
Thanks Jr

Thanks for doing the research on the paintings from the first game! Would have been nice if the painting names were on this game as well, thanks!

I suppose that was a device to make sure people had played the first game.

so if anyoneis keen to post a walkthrough thats a-ok with me.... the girl gymnastic floor routenes are on, ...... mind is workings slower than usual...... *_*

Finished the game :) but where did you get the letters from to form the password? The first letters of each painting's name do not correspond

WALKTHROUGH
1) go towards metal door in front of you
2) click under wooden bench, see gum
3) scrape gum off using nameplate
4) view clip, bend it into long wire
5) attach gum to wire
6) go right
7) jimmy lock with nameplate, click door again to go through
8) open the first aid box, click on it till you get thread
9) view gumclipthingy and tie string to it
10) go back out the door
11) click blue rectangle on lower left wall
12) unscrew with screwdriver
13) throw the gumclipthreadthing at the object in there
15) click the gumclipthreathing to get disk (you may have to try this a few times, but you'll get it eventually)
16) go back to view facing window, turn left twice
17) go back into office
18) view pile of papers on desk
19) move stapler to see gold thing under paper
20) click gold thing, get a key
21) go back to room view, move mouse on desk
22) click blue screen
23) insert disk in slot below screen
24) push "unlock"
25) go back twice, turn left
26) go forward twice
27) click displays to see "top view"
28) click "bottom" display on right hand side
29) lift display, take glasses
30) view glasses, click them to put them on
31) go back twice to room view
32) click to view paintings, you should now see numbers on them
33) the numbers, paintings, and years are:
5 The Potato Eaters 1885
21 L'Arlesienne Madame Ginoux 1890
17 Four Cut Sunflowers 1887
29 Still Life Vase with Twelve
Sunflowers 1889
1 Portrait of a Young Peasnt 1889
10 Starry Night 1889
7 Le Moulin de la Galette 1886
23 Still Life with Four Stone
Bottles, Flask and White Cup
1884
3 Self Portrait with Dark Felt
Hat 1886
22 A Girl in the Street, Two
Coaches in the Background 1882
34) Put paintings in chronological order from earliest to latest (which is tough 'cause there's a lot of the same years but w/e)
35) once you have them in as good an order as you can get, count the same number on the painting into the title (i.e. [1 Portrait of a Young Peasnt 1889] count one letter in is P)
36) there may be a few mixed up letters because of the same years, but you should come out with abolishpoo
37) go back to the office, use gold key on locked drawer beneath papers
38) highlight and delete the dots but leave the R, and type in ABOLISHPOO (in caps) so you should now have ABOLISHPOOR
39) click the red button below the word and.....

...you're still stranded until the third part of the game is made

ALTERNATE WAY TO BEAT THE GAME:
view the stick in your inventory and click on it 5,000 times

have fun!
