Hi Jojo, here now. You done? I'm not sure what you call things. I think what I found was a bowl (used). A pile of something - apparently soil (used) and water, which I don't know whether I successfully put it on the soil.. Still have a jug of water in inventory and searching for something to do.
ah, got puzzle piece. Now need that city..
I can't figure out the city ...any clues?
Hi Carol. Same place. I'm currently wondering if the shapes on the burnt postcard are any kind of clue to the city letters.

sorry, apparently not seed, smelly cheese. (Must need more sleep). So no wonder it won't get planted!
I think the soil may have been under the table? I put it in the bowl.
I'm stuck for the moment, have smelly cheese, something I don't think I can drink and a puzzle piece in my inventory. Clues welcome!

Thanks Nhiladred - I'd forgotten about the tied key - but unfortunately I can't seem to put down the smelly cheese and summon a mouse to gnaw on the string
haha i also tried to plant the cheese :) and tried to lure someone outside the door to give me the keys guess a smelly cheese is not good enough :)

Stuck. Have postcard, jug of water, pot of soil, smelly cheese and a key under the door. Tried tempting the cat with the soil, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Ok so - just in case - I'll summarise unresolved stuff around me.. a key tied under the door. A blue box with keyhole and mysterious box things under the keyhole, (and unopened door of course); soil on the table, waiting for (some seeds?); did we use the arrow next to the evil devil pegmouse?
I'm still here, fatcat. But very frustratedly stuck.
just in case mmm did anyone find what to do with the soil and the seeds? i'm about to give up :(

look closely at the cat, it spells mouse...don't know if it means anything....just observation

use the postcard on the cat. He'll give you a bag with what he says are seeds in it, but click it and it comes up as smelly cheese.

@dayamayii: the arrow pointed to the torch we need to take away the fire....btw, where's the cheese?
I think the arrow was for the postcard.

Bunga, yes you have to answer the city question to get the seeds/cheese. Look at the shapes at the top of the city buildings on the card carefully - or look further back up in this forum for the answer
the bag i got says "bag of seeds tightly tied" so it's seeds..i think i need a scissors or something sharp to open the bag and put them on the soil and pour water in it..but..still dunno where the scissors is

I think we may have a bug here. The cat definitely refers to seeds. We have soil and water, which suggests we might grow something. Only after we have the seed bag does it become cheese, but it doesn't look like cheese...
Kim must have quickly fixed the label. Quick work.
do you guys think we can break the jar and use that as a knife/scissors?
I don't know if I'd assume a bug just based on the label - Kim commented that it was a labelling issue from lack of sleep, and sounds like it may be fixed already judging from the newer starters.
I think that's a possibility worth exploring greenmama!

Yeah, mine says bag of seeds tied tight too. And it sure looks like a bag of something to me...not cheese!? This is confusing! Still dunno wot to do with anything? Got bag of seeds I can't open, jug of water & peice of postcard, soil in bowl on table...help!!!

Fatcat, I'm still kind of around, but I'm waiting on this one. I haven't pixelhunted through every tile, edge & corner with each object, but I certainly feel like I've done enough for now.
Having been a bit devious I have found that there are two keys, scissors and something that looks like gold nuggets to be found. It's also clear that the seeds have to be planted somehow. However, I can't work out how to achieve any of this.

Since this is so difficult, it would be appropriate that tab key worked...

Well now, that's not easy to guess: the sign with 'keybol.org' moves upwards, when you're in the cat room. Just click it and drag. Scissors underneath.

Turn right and take the bowl from the floor
Turn right and take the water pitcher
Click just inside the bottom right leg of the table and get the soil
Turn right and see the arrow pointing to the right torch
Use the water on it to put it out
Take the postcard
Show the postcard to the cat mouse devil, and he will ask you what city it is
Look at the postcard in the about item view and tilt your head to the left and you will seem letters on the tops of the buildings
You will have to use your imagination a bit because not all of the letters are there
Tell the cat the city (case doesn't matter)
(CHICAGO)
He will give you some seeds in a tied bag -- you need scissors to open it
The scissors are beyond tricky, but they are located in this scene, but outside the play area
Move the part of the screen that says keybol.org and get the scissors from underneath (click it to stop it from moving with your cursor)
Use the about item view for the bag and use the sceissors
Click the seeds
Turn left
Look at teh the bowl (pot) in the about item view and add the soil
Place the filled pot on the table
Place the seeds and water them
Look at the plants that grow -- tilt your head to the left to read the Roman numerals
Turn 2 times and see the blue box also needs a key
Zoom under the door and find the key
Use the scissors to get it
Use the key and the Roman numerals to get the door key
(VI II IX III or 6293)
Use the silver key on the door and you are out!
