Word Juxtapose is a new flash-based riddle game by Kim. Word Juxtapose is the use of words, letters, numerals, and punctuation marks arranged in a manner or format to convey ideas. Solve up to 40 riddles and join in the ranks on our online leaderboard. In case you get stuck, you can pass on to the next level with "Skip". Earn bonus skips on the 10th, 20th and 30th level. lol the levels are randomized so we cant really help each other here.
used 2 skips, and solved 4 puzzles, so im on level 7 right now.
Solved 3 puzzles, no skip yet, but stuck with SGEG
got to stage 9 with no skips left, restarting now.

as for me, i cannot solve the SqH20 one, got that last time, skipped it, and now got it again on level 3 grrr...

lol on the one where "excitement" keeps running across the screen, i put "excitement" before and it worked, but this time it wont accept!

suicine, for the SqH2O one, I had a lot of trouble, because I'm from Philadelphia and don't pronounce (H2O) like most people... I had to think about how most people would pronounce w***r, and then just read out loud from left to right... hope that helps
@drk, I tried to do that but the word that came out doesn't mean anything to me. Do you have a synonyme or something?

Im stuck at my 'horizontal integration' thinking, cant seem to change direction of my brain. And with the b's I also tried EVERYTHING. As Suicune said: Please help, Kim!
Tried a lot on that horizontal thing but nothing worked.

And also thinking about that d is maybe a Delta, so something with increase or decrease.
lol i see that guy got within 1 second of my highscore, so i tried again.
after about 20 or so attempts, i finally perfected my speed, making pretty much no errors at all.
final time: 55.75 seconds :D
i doubt i can beat that one to save my life. and i also doubt i could solve the last 2 riddles to save my life too, unless kim comes and gives a tip...

I solved the BB in half black and half white colors... on my second try, my grandmother always used to say: 'To be in black and white'. [= Btw, I'm new here.. lulz. I love the escape games. ;>

It's kinda' annoying having to put (or not put) 'the's, and spelling and punctuation are really important. For example, i thought the "year end sale" one was year-end sale :/

@kaoru, on the very first version all possible answers in pluralization and hyphen where considered, got caught a bug though so i scrapped it and stick to one answer.
@ellie I actually spent more time researching how flash will accept only lowercase as answers so it won't be a matter of accidentally using CAPSLOCK when answering the riddles
What does horizontal differentiation mean?
Kim - it would also be helpful if the player could hit the Enter key instead of clicking Submit with the mouse.

lol if it was possible to use the enter key i would have probably gotten a time of 40-45 seconds, instead of 55 :P
as for horizontal differentiation, i think most people dont know it lol, seeing as its a calculus term (According to daggerpen)
@Raw, I did use the enter key, but after writing the answer you first have to click tab key, and then enter works. If you click up arrow (or sometimes tab key) after enter, you can write the next answer without using your mouse at all.
@ Suicune: Horizontal differentation, as I understand it, is some business thing- the division of a firm into subunits or something; I'm not all that sure of the details, not having taken any business classes myself. I think it might have something to do with variations in products? I donno. Either way, the d/dx symbol is used in calculus to indicate derivatives (differentiation being the process of finding derivatives). Hence, horizontal differentiation.
ah makes perfect sense now, still never woulda got it on my own though.
