i clicked that spot a million times but you actually have to have the flashlight active to see it.
and really easy out after that. probably hardest part in the game is finding the hammer... unless theres another ending somewhere... which im suspecting there may be

make sure flashlight is active then zoom in on desk. insetead of viewing under it, click the strip of gray to the far right to see behind the side of it.

trying to flick the light switch or find a way to escape out the door but nothing.
also trying to find something to do with that rip in the wall but perhaps there is only 1 ending here. wish i had confirmation how many endings there was

i give up on trying to find another ending, probably doesnt exist and i should get to bed so so i dont get up too late for any live games that may be out in the morning
You need the batteries in the torch and the torch selected to look to the right of the desk.

Ketchup Monster make sure your flashlight has been clicked then click to right of desk
Walkthrough
Click the door curtain to put some light on the subject
Click the box in the bottom right corner
Click the lid to look in
Get the first battery
Back up 2 times and turn left
Click the top doors of the cabinet – get the code box
Open the bottom drawer of the cabinet – get the blue book
Zoom in on the trashcan and get the plain paper
Turn left 2 times
Open the second right drawer from the top on the right side of the desk – get the second battery
Open the third drawer on the right and get the pencil
Click the paper in the inventory and then the about item box
Use the pencil on the paper to get a code
Click the codebox in the inventory and then the about item view
Use the paper code to unlock it
Click the lid to open it and get the key
Zoom in on the picture with the kanji characters
Click on the blue book in the inventory and then the about item button
Click the book in the about item view and look at the tuna page
Note the bottom kanji
Find that one on the picture and click it – it will turn red

Click on the tuna
Get the silver key from its mouth
Use the key on the upper right desk drawer
Get the flashlight/torch and the diary
Click the flashlight and the about item view
Use the batteries on them (just select them and click the flashlight in the about item view)
Zoom in once on the desk
Use the flashlight to the right of the desk
Get the hammer (thanks, Martin!)
Turn right
Use the hammer on the panel blocking the window
Use the key on the lock
Click the window and escape!
There may be another ending because of the black behind the second panel (right of the tall cabinet), but I don't know it

Nice, i love these kind of games a lot, although i think there must be another ending like some others already mentioned before as well.
1) the diary wasn´t used
2) the spot under the desk, visible with the flahslight
3) the black hole behind the other panel
4) a couple of empty spots in the inventory
5) the lightswitch next to the door
6) the doorknob itself

its possible those are all red herrings. at least, if we knew japanese we might know more, such as what the diary says when you click those lines on the pages (each line gives some different text at the bottom)
perhaps we did use the diary, for all we know it might have been a hint on where the hammer was or something.
but mabye not, no way of knowing unless xenon translates it for us.
