Let's see what this is like...
A pen with number, a piece with water and a red block. Also unplugged PC.
Can't find the square number.

marafin, I am convinced the paper on the desk gives us the order.. just gotta figure out how to make it more visible. Then it's all written in Japanese - may be Chinese. If it's in Chinese, then I can read it and will know what the order is.
Possibly a language barrier for the order of keys.
@ Tzechuk, well, glad ur here then (smile) Thanks. I was trying to rub the pencil on it, put water on it.... just can't figure it out either haha I'm from Ohio, and know NO other languages. Well ... didn't retain the couple I took in high school, anyway ... hehe
sharpen the pencil with the cutter use pencil on the paper

I think ladder is only for a upper drawer. Before I cant get it.
Cutter is upper drawer where keys were.
zoom in on the cabinet the keys were in click the upper left( i think) of the cabinet for the cutter

OK - got it.
The paper is written in Chinese, which is what I hoped it was - most Japanese is usually written in Chinese.
Basically it says *The evolution of life*..
That should tell us the key order.

all I have is pencil, round thing with water and some red stick thing
kook you have to plug in the computer (location posted above) then put in the code to get the ladder.. then you can get the keys and cutter
@kook, you need the ladder first. Enter the code in computer for that.
what about the hint in the drawer?
we have to get both burners working to get the round thing

i've tried using the cutter, the pencil, and the 88 "stamp" on everthing including the keys and getting nowhere!

It's a word chain game in Japanese.

I get ladder after solve code.
so i have gotten out of the room by freezing the water in the place where the keys were and taking the water out of the piece by using the knife... now i go outside and watch some disturbing video about a little japanese boy on a job interview or something and come back in the room and there is a new puzzle on the computer that I cant solve.
To solve the new computer puzzle add up the numbers around the shape, and mulitply them by the number of sides of each shape.
I.E.
Triangle: 1+2+3 = 6 * 3(number of sides) = 18
378! I'll explain in a minute...

I got it! You add the numbers around the shape and multiply by number of sides on the shape to get central number
Tried to go downstairs with everything in the inventory... no luck. Cant smash the window (if it is one), cant smash the clock.... Buhuuuuu :`(

Oh my, took the 5 keys back and now 2 of them are over my stick and ladder!
click the 2 symbols on door, just at bottom i think ,and it drops down to give you a key. key for draw,get what looks like box ...that as far as ive got
hope I won't need to use the freezer anymore :S
somebody has to figure this out!!.. its driving me nuts... it looks liek the window is open and i can just push the ladder out and get out of this place, but no!

u do put the box in the freezer once it has the red stick and water in it :)
then take it out and remove it from the clear box... then u click it and it becomes a frozen hammer. I think you guys can figure it out from there.

My ladder and one key are one over the other in inventory, so i cannot use the key again.
I will not restart, this is buggy.....
Can any of you tell me the first code to put in the computer? I add the 3 numbers found in squarte, triangle and penthagon and put the number there and nothing. After that I add the numbers on each one of them and than put it in the order is there and nothing. Am I being pretty dumb? I suppose so lol
Oh I see, the code was to open the place with the keys. So I got it right but I didn't know. lol
Where do I put the water to put it later in the pacman?
I found if you make ice without red block in it just melt it over fire then you can make the hammer ...out thanks for the codes I needed help -;)
Where are you getting this new "crystal box"? Is that the brown one? I can't put anything inside anything else, let alone in the freezer. I have the brown stick thing, the red thing, the ladder, the green pencil-like rod, and the ashtray. How do I make this hammer? Am I missing another item?

@Andrew, you need the key from the door, it's under the 2 items you put in. Open the drawer with it and you'll find a box in there. Put the red thing in it and fill it with water. Then put it in the freezer. Take it out when it's frozen and (I hope I remember this correctly!)use the "about item" on it. Then you'll see it turns into a hammer. Hope this will help.

I restarted, FIRST you have to take the ice out the box, THEN use the "about item" on it.

PARLOR GAME 2 - WALKTHROUGH (Part 1)
Door view
1. Zoom on the left part of the desk and take the green pencil. In "about item" notice the 49 number in the pentagon shaped pencil; zoom out.
2. Open the upper drawer of desk and take the semi-circular mold (called the 'pacman' thingie by friends); notice the drawings inside the drawer, they give you some hints on what to do later;zoom out.
3. Zoom on the lower right side of the desk and plug the computer; zoom out. If you take a look to the pc monitor you'll see you need to enter a code. Go right twice.

4. Zoom in the couch and click on the yellow cushion and see 18 number in the triangle.
5. Zoom again under the couch and take red block, open it in "about item", click on the lower part of it and see now the 88 number (this is our square clue). Now we're ready to crack the pc code; zoom all the way out and go back to the computer.
6. Do the math and click the "enter" box after inputting the correct code. SPOILER FOR PC CODE #1. You can't notice it now, but you've just made a ladder appear in the opposite wall making you able to reach the high cabinet... turn left.

7. Zoom on the cabinet; click to open it and take the 5 keys; zoom now in the upper part of cabinet and grab the cutter; use the cutter to sharpen the pencil in "about item" window; zoom out and turn right.
8. Zoom in the paper on the desk and use the pencil on it; read the clue for the order of the keys in the freezer... if you can! If not, it says (and I'm quoting @Tzechuk), *The evolution of life* (thanks so much @Tzechuk), zoom out and turn left.
PARLOR GAME 2 - WALKTHROUGH (Part 2)
9. Zoom in the water tap and click on it to let the water run, select your "pacman thingie" in inventory and click on the water; now you have water in the mold... zoom out.
10. Zoom in the freezer (left part of the scene) and place the 5 keys in the slots according to the right order... which is (and now I'm quoting @Xenon) *tako(octopus)-koi(carp)-ika(squid)-kappa(green creature)-panda* (thank you so very much @Xenon! it's good to have you!) Don't know exactly why this is the correct order, but it seems to be someone's local gag... a "LOL" should be appropriate here. zoom out.
11. Click on the upper part of the freezer to open it and again to have a look inside; take the golden coin (?), take the mold (yes, the pacman) and put it inside the freezer, zoom out.
12. Zoom on the stove, press the left blue button to have fire and select the golden coin to fix it on the fire... now it's round; zoom out.
13. Go back into the freezer; take the mold, open it in "about view" and click on the lower part of it to have a pacman-shaped block of ice; zoom out and go right.
14. Zoom in the metal plate on the door, put your ice block and golden coin in it; open the door and go out.
15. Pick the wooden stick from the floor and go back inside the room.
16. Zoom in the metal plate again and click in the lower part of it to reveal a key; take it and zoom out.
17. Use the key in the lower drawer of the desk, zoom inside and take a crystal box from it; zoom out.
18. Select the box in inventory, open it in "about item" view and put your red stick in it; close that view.
19. Zoom in the pc monitor again, see a new code awaits to be solved... do it and press enter again SPOILER FOR PC CODE #2. Ladder is now down and able to grab; go left.
20. Zoom in the tap again and now fill your transparent box with water, zoom out.
21. Open the freezer, zoom inside and put the box inside; zoom out only to zoom inside back again. Take the box and in "about item" click on it to have an Ice block; select it in inventory and open the "about item" view of it... add the wooden stick to have an Ice Hammer(cool!); go left.
22. Take the ladder; go left.
Window view
23. Zoom on the window and break it with the hammer. Select your ladder and place it outside; click on it and you're out... HOPEFULLY!

What about the drawings in the drawer? (no pun intended)
As far as I can tell, they give us a clue on the word chain Xenon talked about to come out with the order of the 5 keys to get the deformed coin. It also must say to put the coin on fire in order to give it its round shape.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT, under any circumstances, take the 5 keys back!!
You'll get a bug that makes you unable to use two of them again since they'll be stuck under the ladder and the stick in the inventory. Read the comments for more details.
Thanks to all who helped in solving the game. It wasn't a total pleasure for me the first time I played it, but I have to admit it's a good game... bugs on aside.
@edgar...amazing walkthrough!!!! this escape put me through my paces *don't say it...lol* considering i was only operating at half brain capacity, i did well to actually finish it with cerebral function to spare *hehe* i never could have done it without some wonderful help, though :) thank you so much :)!!
i'm a bit punchy edgar, so please forgive me but for some reason *tako(octopus)-koi(carp)-ika(squid)-kappa(green creature)-panda* is eerily reminiscent of a similar phrase i heard in an old classic movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still"(the original version :) ) an LOL is indeed appropriate here ;) Okay...i'm really going to call it a day now....
