you have to round it to the thousandths decimal place. so if the decimal is .1327, make it .133

Level 8 - The odometer in the speedometer needs to read PI to 4 decimal places - control the speed of the needle by stopping the needle and selecting a lower gear...

LEVEL 1 - Click on ballon

LEVEL 3 - Select March; Saturday 14; 1592.

LEVEL 4- density = g/ml

LEVEL 5- Click on circumference and do the math (C = 2r x Pi)

LEVEL 8- Click on the [+] to zoom in; click on the the lower button to light it green; zoom out [-]; click on the dashboard (right side behind wheel); click on the brown icon (lower left) and start moving the speedometer until 31415. It won't work unless you can make the 3 dials on the right side to form a triangle, using "3", "2" and mainly "L" to slow down. Click on the red triangle when done.

LEVEL 8 (2nd part) To determine the perimeter of the triangle; if each side of the hexagon equals 2, then each side of triangle equals 3.

LEVEL 9- Move the dials until you form the original shape.

LEVEL 10- Drag the pencil until last question; the angle ABE is the 6th part of a right angle.

LEVEL 11 - click the green light to see the vertexes of the triangle to be clicked before time runs out.

For level 2 make a rainbow, then a semaphore.

LEVEL 12 - You need to collect the letters (and the order of them) from the 5 clickable parts of the globe to form the phrase. Three words.

LEVEL 13 - Guitar strings are numbered from the highest to the lowest sound and identified with a letter:
1 = E
2 = B
3 = G
4 = D
5 = A
6 = E

LEVEL 14 - The rectangle's lenght is a fifth of the square side. Radius of the circle shouldn't represent a problem to figure.

Did you find the 5 parts to click?
(E,N)(N,Y)(H,O)(J,O,E)(T,W)
Those make a 3 words phrase, you don't even need to anagram them since the letters are placed in their correct places. I'd suggest you to write them down on your notes... and keep in mind that each word is in a different line (3 lines, 3 words)

well mike, edgar posted many hints or even solutions, so "he is no help" isn't true.

these symbols are some ancient number system, i didn't try a research about them. actually i found the correct number by trial and error first. now i think i understand the numbers: 1 - 12 are shown in clockwise arrangement; start with | top left. therefore the "H" looking thing is 12.

for number 12. If you're still having trouble, it helps to hold a piece of paper up to your screen and tract the EXACT location of the letters. Don't move your paper at all and the message will be there.

Like in all puzzle games we shouldn't post exact answers, and sometimes all we (players) need is a little hint to move forward. How big or little is a help for someone who needs one? If a hint is not big enough you (and everyone else) can ask again as Michelle did.
Now, as for level 4, I did as everyone else (I think) after failing googling that "plummerian" ancient numbers; trial and error gave me/us the numbers distribution... @Phoe N is right, numbers are clockwise starting from upper left tile.

LOL, I used my fingers on my screen... and now I'll have to clean the fingerprints :S

For level 16 I only can fill and empty the 4/9 lines containers and the tiles 4 and 9 appear highlighted. Stuck right there... help?

lvl 16: i did it with more try and error than logic. i just tried to fill, empty and change the liquid to the other container, and get different heights in both containers. i will try this lvl again, perhaps i will be able to help more then.

i suppose you missed the button that puts the liquid from one container to the other? goal is to highlight all numbers.

Got it @Phoe N, you need to highlight all the tiles with the correct measures in containers:

LEVEL 16
1. Fill right.
2. Change content to left.
3. Empty left.
4. Change content to left.
5. Empty left.
6. Change content to left.
7. Repeat steps 1-7 as many times needed.

what are your impressions to lvl 17? a balloon, a V on the basket, hexagons, a circle with changing numbers and then 5 and a calculator.... i am totally lost. how about you?

well, the numbers on the circle is probably correlated to the distance of the balloon... not that that helps at all... :/

@rdk, sorry for not replying before, I guess my mind is lost in level 17.
For the rest of people having problems with level 12, the highest sound (1) in guitar strings is the one in the right side (the lower one when playing it), and the the lowest sound (6) is the string on the left side.

Finally!! Solved 17 :)

Look at the counts, it changes by 5 all the time.
You should do that as well on your calculator.

For 17, you can't count 5, 10, 15... since there is nothing higher than 12, so you need to count buttons instead of numbers.

I still don't understand 13. Do we play them "A to Z" as suggested by the book? What do we do about the two E's? Do you do all of each letter at a time (AAAAAAA, BBBBBBB, etc), or do you rotate (ABDEEG, ABDEEG, ...)? Is there supposed to be sound for this level? If so, I have none.

@Andrew, you need to drop different amount of colored things on the different strings of the guitar. Use the names for the strings as listed above. Then it's just a matter of how many items each string should have.

I still don't get second part of level 18.

It has to be with Australian Western Standard Time, and right now it's 6:59 a.m. there! (GMT +8) but setting the clock at the actual Western Australian time doesn't do a thing!

I tried rearranging the letters A to Z and assigning the numbers of pi (3.1415), but no dice. Looking at the guitar as it's laid out, I put 1E, 3A, 4D, 5G, 1B, 1E (that two E thing is still throwing me), but nothing.

Level 18. I set the clock to a very familiar number. Now I've got a red second hand and a reset button. I'm confounded.

@Elmer, I did the same as you I think. I don't have a reset button though, but a stop button. And the red hand is moving.

I got another clock now, in the AWST circle.
Set the first time to pi.

Set the time for the second clock counting for the time difference. GMT - AWST

Ah! You have to stop it at the right time. I'm off to convert that to AWST.

@xkissmex, once you have the right month, day of the week, date and year you'll get the clock to click on like on the other levels.

im stuck on 13 willl you help me i read the comments and i still dont get it

@xkissmexcrazyx, clicking in month march helps you stop the friday 13 thing. then you can change the date and year to the "original pi day" (look at number pi for date and year). hint: it was a saturday

@Ellie: any success with your drawings? :-) besides the fact they sure are a pleasure for the eye ;-)

@kupcake: the strings of the guitar are named from left to right:
A E D G B E
now replace the letters with numbers from the alphabet as already explained. so you get how many coloured pieces have to be on each string

@Phoe, no luck yet. I tried to google pi, hexagon, yellow, blue, red... no luck. And randomly painting feels like it will get boring pretty soon.

true ellie... i've drawn a head, nuclear sign, different patterns. thought of how to draw Pi in a hexagon, no luck yet. i suppose i will wait for somebody with a genius idea :-/

Oh, 19 is easy! You don't need all of the colors! No fields next to each other should be the same.
It took me so long because I expected to use three colors lol.

@Phoe, yes it has something to do with that. Try to find a nice page that will show you the chinese signe for the animals. I'm on the second part of that level now.

Level 20
First part - match the animal with their Chinese names.

Ellie i can't decipher all chinese signs for the animals. so far i have:
dog __ __ monkey ox pig rabbit rat __ sheep snake tiger. am i right? and 3 are still missing :-(

Level 21 was easier. Let the balloon away, then match the symbol, after that some counting. You have the radius (R=8), and need the area and circumference.

@edgar i dont get your picture of level 15

Level 21: I found no symbol to match. But I just picked a very, very small apple.

@Elmer, I just found out that it is possible to fly with the balloon. Don't do that! Step out of the balloon before takeoff.

Level 22 is where you can use all of your "find hidden objects -skills". Move around and then when you think you are finished... restart (unless you take notes).

LEVEL 22 - Find 9 animals on the picture navigating through it. For second part you have to identify the 3 animals NOT included in the picture.

im sorry to keep bothering you but i kinda get 16 but not that much and i dont get the comments soo will please help me...?

hmm... on lvl 20: i set the tiger on 3:00 and also the sign for 10, but nothing happens. what am i doing wrong?

Set the tiger at three o'clock with the plumerian number 3 (the one that looks like Pi). Keep in mind that clicking the inner circle makes the dials rotate in a different way than clicking on the outer circle.

kupcake, Edgar explained it very well already.
on the left side you have a container with 4 parts and 3 buttons somewhere above: empty glass, full glass, recycle sign. try them and see what they do. on the right side you have a container with 9 parts and the same 3 buttons somewhere above.
each of the 12 signs above represents a number. if you manage it that only 3 parts in left or right container are filled, the sign with number 3 will highlight. now follow edgar's instructions to get all measures in the cotainers and so to highlight all signs/numbers.

Level 24 is agony.

Level 25 Just rearrange some letters, but every time you click you get a slooow animation. What to spell? I've tried "pi" and "the end" but computer says no.

Finally solved LEVEL 24. You need to sum 38 in each row but clicking on one tile replace it with the immediate higher tile wherever this last is on the grid.
There should be many possible combinations.

Level 25. What's the name of the game?

For LEVEL 25 you do have to spell something... easy actually (remember the topic of the game)

I cant get past lvl 21... i went up, came down, clicked the apple and opened the latch but cant get out of the balloon.

LEVEL 26 - Make a phone call to the right person. Enter the CLUE ID (Anagram for the other mathematician). Then you have to save the queen (save the four queens from each other)

You have to light the balloon and then get out right away. Try to be the fastest you can.

Any idea about 27, Edgar?

I'm stuck on 27 as well. I'm not sure what numbers i want to have, but they all change in different steps when I click on the different iPods.

Level 27: We may have to make 3.14, but there's no decimal point. Each click advances all numbers different amounts. I see there's a pattern, but I don't think I have the forethought or patience to use it. Defeat looms.

lol @Elmer, I'm just mad clicking ipods. Trying to figure out the pattern and how they move in each one of them.
Maybe we need to make 3*14 on them?

Level 27: Ellie & Edgar, if this helps, the symbols are in order on the top row of your keyboard. I'm getting deep wrinkles from frowning.

I figured out the pattern for the buttons, but its too much for my brain to figure out how many times to press each button to make them all 4 like I want them. I'll leave the two last levels until later and go to bed. Good luck!

Time for me to quit by now. So puzzled already and maybe overthinking it. But will be back again for it.

just random clicking got it to 3%14 and it changed to 3.14 itself to end the level,

Level 27. The orange ipod seems to generate a random number, but it's not. Look at and memorize a number. Click orange to get a "random" number. By clicking any one ipod several times, you get your original number again. But you won't get back to the orange number again. I'm wearing a halo of question marks.

@rdk665 you've restored my faith in brute force! I'm going back in there.

Level 27: Here are the rules:
green: g+1 b+2 r+3 w+4
black: g+4 b+1 r+2 w+3
red: g+3 b+4 r+1 w+2
white: g+2 b+3 r+4 w+1

Orange seems to generate a random number that is completely ignored once you go back to clicking any of the others. Is it a clue? I'm not having a very fun pi day.

Level 27: I fluked it! I pressed black randomly, then racked green up to 3. I did this a few times. Eventually it landed on 3^14 and the ^ turned into a dot. Maybe the 2nd digit doesn't matter. I feel like Sidney Crosby.

Level 28: Looks like we get 4 weighings. If our 1st weighing is unbalanced, at least one of the 4 is one of the 2 with different weight.

After 2 weighings we might know which 2 of the 3 groups of 4 contains the fakes. But what to do then?

Brute force don't fail me now.

i have been trying to brute for to no avail, just not getting anywhere on this level

@rdk665 Ok, I have a theory. Keep brute forcing like this:

1)Weigh the 1st group of 4, 2nd group and 3rd group.

2) Keep doing this until you get two balanced sets, and one unbalanced.

3)This means that the pair on the heavier side are both heavier, or the pair on the light side are both lighter.

4)Weigh one of your suspects with 3 other normal ones. This should reveal the culprits and their weight.

I'm off to test my theory...

Blazes. My brute force cheat worked, but it wants me to prove it by doing it twice in a row. I'm gutted.

Level 28: I did it! Thanks for your help, rdk665! I noticed the scale tips diagonally, revealing which pair of the four is unbalanced. Once you've found two unbalanced pairs, you test one of them against any balanced three to find the culprits and whether they're heavier or lighter.

Splendid game! I don't know about you rdk665, but I feel like I've just completed a mental marathon. I'm off for a well deserved adult refreshment.

Congratulations @Elmer and rdk665, and thanks for your tips for last level. It's about identifying the 2 heavier twice in a row; not too difficult once you know what exactly to do.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to come up with a reasonable answer for level 27, and a randomly clicking gave me finally the luck I needed to come up with the 3.14.
Anyway, it was fun alright. Looking forward to next Pi Day, lol!

I came back to finish as well. I don't like that I had to brute force 27, but it was too complicated for me to do it in any other way.

28 was fun and not too difficult. For anyone having problems on this level, look at Elmers post at 5:24! I did it in a slighly different way, but he explains it well.

I really like the looks of those animals:)!

I'm stuck on level 4. I've worked out what the density is but I can't see where to put the answer.

I don't get level 2,what do i have to do after i put the rainbowcolors in?

@cricketer, Turn the lights off, and click on the M. Chose a symbol as your answer (going clockwise, like clock numbers).

Hey I am really stuck on 16. I have 7 out of the twelve tile things highlighted and tried the steps above from Edgar but they aren't helping me because i have already done that step. Does anyone have all the steps? or can help me at all?

Stuck on Level 18
1) Place countries' flags in respective position.
2) Circles come up for GMT and AWST.

GMT - Greenwich Meridian Time
AWST - Australian West Standard Time

AWST = GMT(+8)

I set it at 3:14. The clock starts moving. A red second hand appears. A stop button appears. The clock loops, going back to 3:14:00 as soon as it reaches 3:14:59.

I set it to 11:14, the equivalent of 3:14 GMT time in AWST. Nothing happens.

I do not know what to do now. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Continuation of Level 18

I have taken Daylight Savings Time into account. I have tried 2:14, 4:14, 10:14, and 12:14.

The only action occurs when 3:14 is entered. At that point, nothing is clickable except for a stop button.

bchandark, Pi is 3.1415, you need to press stop when the second hand reaches 15 secs. Then a second clock appears for AWST.

I'm stuck on 21. I've got radius 8 cm. I put the circumference, but when I try to set the Area it jumps between 1 above and 1 below. I can't it on the correct number.

Help, please?

Level 27: By trial and error I worked out a foolproof crack:

Start at the beginning with 1!11.

Click green 6 times.
Black 5 times.
Red 2 times.

They can be clicked in any order. I don't fully understand why this works yet.

Other combos appear to work too:
Black 4.
Red 6.
White 9.

I also hammered away at orange and got 3)14. The game froze. I think the orange one is random.

@Bchandark Set 11:14 and wait for the second hand to hit 15 seconds.

@cricketer Once you get the circumference right, just slide the area slider through all the numbers. If you got the circ. right, it will stop on the correct area, and you win. c=3.14*d d=r*2

@Cathy keep filling the left tank and pouring it into the right one.

If the right tank gets full, empty it, pour what remains from the left into the right, and resume filling and pouring the left tank.

I need help with the third part of level 20

I know what I have to do, I just don't know how to do it

@Tml.tg It's tough. You have to line up the tiger and the pi sign at the 3:00 position. I did it with brute force. Just clicked the inner circle a few times, and then moved the tiger to 3:00. Kept doing this until pi was also at 3:00. I'd like to try to work out how to do this properly, but it's quite a hassle going through the 1st two stages of this level.

Im at my wits end with level 20! i have the animals in order correctly but when i hit evaluate it just resets!! plz help...

Are you sure you have them in the correct order? Keep in mind the animals must be placed NOT in a chronological order, but by their Chinese names. Take a look to my post/links on 16/3/10 01:19 to make sure if you haven't already or just to make sure.

AHHH!!!! i had them in the correct order but i had the monkey picture and the rat picture messed up....its hard to tell the difference in some of them cartoon drawings..........help with the 3rd part?

@Travis. As it's been said, third part consists on matching the Pi sign with Tiger at 3:00. Remember that the inner circle turns counterclockwise and the outer one does it clock wise; clicking the inner circle makes this to turn 1 place and the outer one 4 places, while 2 and 1 respectively when clicking the outer circle. Figuring that out could make your trying easier hopefully.

thanks so much! Ive read this forum back to level 21 and i cant get it....ive gotten out of the balloon...picked the apple....clicked on the sun dial...now what?

Now you have to control the "sun" to place it in the center of the compass inside the sun clock.
Then, given a radius = 8, calculate the Circumference and the Area, and set your answers with the same controls.
Sorry for replying late, I had to play again and catch up to recall, since the game doesn't have a saving feature.

Level 24 is hell......any hints other than that each row adds up to 38?

@Travis, I made notes on a paper which numbers i wanted in each row. Then i started to make the highest number, and went down through all numbers until finished.

How do you finish off the chess board at the end of level 26?

You have to weigh the animals in groups of 4 to determine which two among them are the heavier... and you have to do it twice in a row.

You need to place the four queens so that no one is on the same row, column or diagonal as any other.

I need help on 17!! I read your help earlier, but I still don't get it!!

@Aquashock, on 17 you need to press every 5th button on the number panel. Count from the beginning the first one is 5, count five more buttons to 10, then continue to count buttons (11,12..), but after 12 you need to start from the beginning of the panel (1,2,3...) and that will make your third number 3, and so on.

@Ellie, what I did was 5,10 6,11 7,12. Is that right? After that what do I do?

Yes!

@Aquashock, no that's not the correct sequence. I assume that you went up by one number (5-6-7, and 10-11-12) alternating those.
You need to think in another way.
Try to write the numbers on a paper and after 12 start from the beginning again and again several times:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,1,2,3,4 and so on. Start from the left and make a cross marking at every 5th number. That will give you the order to press them. Read Edgars post at 15/3/10 at 23:35 as well for the beginning of the sequence.

I don't get 20, HELP! I can't tell the differences in the pictures. I'm stuck on which one is a dog and which one is a monkey, HELP please!

@Aquashock, I don't have the game open now and it would take me some time to get to that level, but as far as I remember, the dog has bigger ears than the monkey.

If those are the only ones you have problems with, then make them change places!

Wait, which one is the one with no ears? Besides the snake?

Thanks to Edgar, Ellie, Elmer Turnipseed, and RDK665, and others for many of the answers in here. When the walkthrough says to click the clock, click the red second hand.
This walkthrough does not give explanations, just complete answers. If you want to figure the puzzles out yourself, check the other posts for some hints.

1) Click the blue balloon. Click the clock.

2) From left to right across the curve, drag and drop the balls in order of
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo (dark blue), Violet (purple). Click evaluate twice. Three circles appear. In order of top to bottom, drag and drop the Red, Yellow, and Green in the outlines provided. Click the Green light. Click the clock.

3) A calendar appears. Click any date in March. Keep clicking the right arrow until even number dates appear. Keep clicking until the date shows 14. Click the top right arrow to change the day to Saturday. More arrows appear. Click the bottom left arrow 5 times. Click the middle right arrow 9 times. Click the top left arrow 7 times. The date should read 1592. Click the clock.

4) A green arc appears. Click it. Click the purple light switch to the right. Click the balance. Click the ball. Click the beaker. Click the ball. Click the light switch. Click the "MV". A faded hexagon surrounded by symbols appears. The symbols represent numbers. Click two (two vertical lines). Click the clock.

5) A circle and text box appears. Type "25.133" in the text box. Click Submit. Click the orange circle. Click the clock.

6) Hexagons appear. This is random for everyone. Find matching symbols in groups of 3. After you click three hexagons, if the symbols do not match, they close. Find all groups to move on. Click the clock.

7) Circles surrounded by a path appears. Before you press anything,

Windows - Press PRNTSCRN (or similar) on keyboard.
Mac OS X - Apple Key + Shift + 3 + Click on screen

Open a Word/Paint/etc. document. Paste your screen shot (Ctrl+V [Command+V in Mac OS X])

Go back to browser. Click the circles to match the paths. No path should be left out of the loop. Refer back to your image for guidance with the paths. Click the clock.

8) A car dashboard appears. Click the + button on the steering wheel. Click the circle below the - button. It turns green. Click the - button. Click to the right of the speedometer. You will zoom in on the speedometer and another circle. Click the orange lit up symbol near the speedometer. All lights disappear. To the right, click the "L" shaped symbol. Click the middle dial on the main speedometer. The odometer rises in increments of 5. Wait until it reaches 31415, then click the middle dial again. Click the red triangle that appears to the right. Click the symbol for 9 (square). Click the clock.

9) Colored circles appear. Click begin. Colored circles are randomized. This is random for everyone. Keep moving the fragmented ovals around the circles until the picture resembles the original. Click the clock. (Sorry, can't explain it well. Can anyone explain it better?)

10) A paper and pencil appear. Drag the pencil toward the paper two times. A pentagon appears. A text box appears. Type 15 in the text box. Press submit. Click the clock.

11) A stop light and hazard (?) sign appears. Press the green button. Quickly, hover over all 3 vertices of the sign. Letters appear. Click these vertices in the order/number specified. This is random for everyone. Click the clock.

12) A globe appears. Click the north pole segment. Type "ENJOY THE NOW". Click submit. Click the clock.

13) I forget how to solve it, sorry. Try looking through the other comments/other boards.

14) A circle and text box appear. Type 5 in the text box. Click submit. Click the clock.

15) Circles appear. When you click one, all adjacent circles are switched. Try to make them all red. I as of now do not have a full solution, so try your best. (Hint: Try to click in patterns, if that makes any sense.)

16) Bottles appear. Click a bottle. Click the cap. Each side has a number system; the 5, 6, 7 of each side EMPTIES, FILLS, and CHANGES, respectively.
1. Fill right.
2. Change content to left.
3. Empty left.
4. Change content to left.
5. Empty left.
6. Change content to left.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 as many times needed.

17) A hot air balloon appears. Click the box of the balloon. A number pad appears. Click the buttons in this order:
5, 10, 3, 8, 1, 6, 11, 4, 9, 2, 7, 12
Click the clock.

18) A world map and flags appear. Drag and drop the flags to their respective countries' position. From left to right, the flags are

Australia, Chile, China, France, Greenland, India, Canada

If you don't know where these countries are, go to http://studentweb.cencol.ca/wtsang15/COMP%20213/Midterm/world-map.gif.

Press evaluate. A clock appears. Set it to 3:14 - 4 notches on the first bar, 15 on the second.
A second hand appears. Click Stop when it reaches 0:15 (the 3 notch on the clock)
A second clock appears. Set this to 11:14 - second to last notch on the first bar, 15th on the second. Wait until the second hand reaches 0:15.
Click the clock.

19) A hexagon, paintbrush, and paint appears. Drag the paintbrush onto red. Color alternating shapes; corners can touch, but no two red shapes can be adjacent (next to) each other. Drag the paintbrush to purple. Fill in the rest of the spots. No color should be adjacent with the same color. (To avoid coloring over red, move the paintbrush quickly.) Click the clock.

20) Place the animals with their respective symbols. In chronogical order, press

dog, dragon, horse, monkey, ox, pig, rabbit, rat, rooster, sheep, snake, tiger

The dog has floppy ears. The dragon is red. The horse has round nostrils. The monkey has a tail. The ox has horns. The pig has a pink snout. The rabbit has long ears. The rat has big teeth. The rooster has a beak. The sheep has yellow (horns?). The snake has striped markings and a curvy tongue. The tiger has striped markings. Press evaluate; press continue.

In chronological order, press

snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, pig, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon

Press evaluate. The animals form a circle. Keep rotating both wheels until the tiger and the Pi symbol matches up where 3:00 should be on a clock (to the right). I'll post amount of clicks later. Click the clock.
