       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:45 PM

Okay, I'm in...and the first thing I see is a letter I can't read :(

painting above cupboard

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:48 PM

found hanger(used), stick(used), sissors, fork, and picture with half star(used)

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:50 PM

there's a #8 on the garlic

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:52 PM

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:52 PM

hi MegiPoland

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:52 PM

@michelle...no, I didn't try. I'm playing with opera now.
I have a picture, acetone, and a fork...where is the hanger? Is it that thing under the cabinet I can't get?

hanger under cabinet use stick on top of shelf

omg, talking animals....

hi michelle :D

I have a gold star now from two pictures

acetone - near stairs on the floor, behind vegetables

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:56 PM

thx @Rasmus...got it :)
yummy cake in the cupboard...lol

Thx @MegiPoland

hi guys. can't figure out that code for box. any idea?

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:57 PM

what is a acetone

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 12:58 PM

I put the star in the little house in the upper left cupboard...got another key

found numbers 8,7 and 35. do we have to combine them with the symbols? hm

all items used. i suppose that there is the door key in that box

someone got the code for brown box?

eh live?

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 1:02 PM

hmm...no idea...and what is written in the book? Maybe we need it for the code?

George, how to take the star from the picture? Only have fork and aceton left in inventory...

is there 24 on the pictures? hmmmm

when 2 paintings are together, it looks like number 24

can type letters there, too. still without clue

clue under cabinet where the hook was, left side

Can't get acetone - chicken wire in the way. What am I missing?

@riove: think i needed the scissors for that

scissors under dresser

Okay, got the two pictures now...but can't put them together to get the star? Help pleez?

never-mind found scissors

@ginger - hang them on the wall above the cabinet (did you get the other hook from under the cabinet?)

Ah...silly me...got to hang em first, I guess...

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 1:08 PM

@ginger...you need to put the pictures on the hooks above the blue box.

Riove you need scissors

@ginger
change places find and put coat hook first

the marks on the picture with flowers they are also in the book in cabinet

anyone read Japanese ?

any idea for the code ... please ... kind of desperated by now

Did y'all see the hint on the floor in front of the pink cabinets? Symbol minus symbol (from the shoe book, but my Japanese isn't what it should be lol).

there is a poster with a shoe on same as on the book there are the numbers 29800

still need the key for the dresser's right door. so two keys to go!?

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 1:13 PM

can't find the scissors, found hook under dresser but no scissors

look on the left side

pumpkin could look like the cloud under the cabinet?

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 1:20 PM

thank you nadia, found the scissors

Look at symbols and words in the book.
Words in the book;
(Page1 Cinderella tour)
Page2 starlit sky
Page3 Pumpkin
Page4 Cake
Page5 shoe
Page6 Milk

BTW, author gives an English title "It aims at Cinderella Stage1 - Hope -".
("Play at Cinderella Stage1 - Hope -")

Anyone a clue for the code?

You're all so awfully quiet...hope it's a good sign lol

Hope you're not lying somewhere in that house...passed out by the aceton lol

Anyone found use for star?

Xenon, thanx...you know Japanese? So we found the starlit sky, the pumpkin and the cake...still need to solve the shoe-mystery and find the milk?

ginger* got any clue? i am stuck with all these numbers

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 1:30 PM

the star goes on the house in the cabinet

milk = 7 ?

star goes to small house in the closet

Rasmus, I'm stumped too...found those same numbers, folled around with 'em, but no clue yet...

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 1:31 PM

David use the star on the house that's in the cabinet to get the key

milk is 7. in the small house in the closet

still don't get it. i am out for a few minutes.

       Anonymous  5/15/10, 1:32 PM

stuck on the code box

michelle welcome to the club

am still missing two items

Ah...maybe the order is like Xenon wrote: cinderella tour, starlit sky, pumpkin, cake, shoe and milk? Let's find the corresponding numbers...

Starlit sky = 24
Pumpkin = 8

got numbers for everything except shoe?

milk = 7
cake = 35

Cake = 35
Milk = 7

What number is Cinderella tour? And the shoe? And what about the symbols on the floor in front of the pink cabinets?

the shoe i think is the one on the picture with number 29800

it is only one shoe maybe shoe=1?

Nadia, whaddoyamean, you're out? How'd you figure out the box code?

no, sorry i ment that i was'nt here a few minutes

the shoe picture could be cinderella hint, too

Nadia, if that's right, then we'd get a number like 24835729800?!

I tried 248357 minus 29800, which would be 18557, but nope...

Xenon, you crook, where'd you go lol?

so for symbol picture would be page 3 page 5 page 1 page 2? am i right?

the clue for the code is
-4 symbols on the picture by the door
-under the sofa (subtract two numbers)

sorry, pls ignore cinderella.

Need to combine symbols from black and red painting with the corrosponding numbers from the book. and the use the hint on the floor under cabinet to get the code.

so that would be 8??24

ginger* i have tired alot of combinations with subtraction but result in big time failure

what is the first symbol under the dresser? so would be ? - 4

i finaly got it!!!

we found the key for the box under the cabinet next to that strange code - some symbol minus the shoe symbol. I think that result is probably the code to the box.

@Rasmus...I never said that that was right, was just experimenting and trying out combinations...but Xenon is back, and has posted something...a clue, but to me it's still Japanese lol

congrats rasmus. i am soooo close.... can't believe it takes us so long

I'm out! Look at the symbol picture and put the book page symbols in then subtract the shoe number

the painting gives a number and the symbol on the floor is the painting minus the last symbol

i used the clue under cabinet, the second object is the shoe symbol = 29800 and the cloud is the cloud on the wall put the numbers we got in the same order as on the cloudpicture and then subtract with shoe number and you got the code.

i give up. waiting for s.o. to post the code .. or a very good hint

David, yeah, I tried that...that would be 12580, right? But it doesn't work ;-\

In the book it has a symbol according to the page as described above. So 35 would be the first part of the number.

ahh never would have come to this. thank you rasmus

The order of the pages should be 357248 then subtract 29800 and that is the code.

I'm on strike as well...got a life, tomtiedom...

couldnt done it without the post from Xenon so thank you

out. but did we open the dresser's right door?

code is 357248-29800= 327448

Sslafratta, nope, that doesn't work either!

@Nadia nope i did not open that dresser

well as long as we're finally out ... see you guys next time. it was a pleasure.

Sslafratta, sorry, you were right...but did anyone find the key to the right pink cabinet?

see you all in next game! nice to have you as company!

aaarrrrgggggghhhhh...everything's in japanese until the very end.."to be continued". That's the only thing I understood this whole game!

Cant understand chinese so im off

I love rain-lens games...

When do you know a game is "LIVE"?

@MzClozetGeek...just be online all the time...check every five minutes to see if a new game's up...post a comment and check if someone answers you within seconds...and the game's on, it's LIVE lol. At the moment, it's not, I mean, I was just passing on my way to sleep, zzzzz lol

Japanese people talk way too much.

Photographic Fog: Wandering Through, part 1
because EGDAWT (every game deserves a walkthough) and I certainly could have used one!

To Begin:
If you read Japanese, then by all means enjoy the long and rather wordy story. If, like me, you don't, then click through a few screens until you get a "game start" option. Click on that and you'll go to another long and rather wordy story! But you can opt to "skip" in the upper right corner. This takes you to another screen with lots of writing and a picture of a girl. Click "OK", and AT LAST you can start the actual game. Just explaining that required me to write a long and rather wordy story!

To Play the Game (assuming you haven't dozed off by now):
- click the envelope on the table. O.M.G. it's another message in Japanese. This one is only 3 pages long. Things may work just fine if you skip the note altogether, but, being good gamers you'll all pick it up and have a look anyway.
- click the fork on the table to pick it up.
- click the cabinet on the right wall and note that it is sealed shut
- back up and click the cabinet by the window and open the door. click inside and see the little house with a red roof and doors and a place for a star.
- back up once and click above the cabinet and take the stick that seems to be used by gamers everywhere to get whatever is out of reach.

Back up twice and go left to the second scene
- click under the cabinet on the left side and take the scissors. Also note the equation on the floor (basically it's "cloud shape minus star shape")
- back up and click under the cabinet on the right side and use the stick to take the double hook.
- back up once and click the blue-green box on top of the cabinet. It is locked, but from here you can click the up arrow to go to the wall above.
- click on the picture on the right to remove it.
- place the double hook that was found under the cabinet in the hole on the left.
- place the picture on the left hook.

Back up twice and go left twice to get the "Farm and Exotic Animals In the Kitchen" scene.
- click the picture on the right wall and note the Cinderella Shoe and the number 29800.
- back up and click on the basket of pumpkins. Note that the white pumpkin has the number 8 on it.
- back up and click just to the right of the basket.
- use the scissors to remove the metal cage wire and take the acetone (for those of you who don't know what acetone is - it's the primary ingredient in fingernail polish remover, so it's great at dissolving things. Better gaming through Chemistry!)

Back up and go left to return to the original scene

Photographic Fog: Wandering Through, part 2

- click on the cabinet to the right and use the acetone to unseal the doors and open the cabinet.
- use the fork to eat the cake. ALL of the cake. Every last crumb. When you're so full you think you'll pop, look at the empty plate and see the number 35.
- click on the plate and take the gold key under it.

Back up and go to the cabinet where you found the scissors, etc.
- use the gold key on the left door and take the picture.
- click on the blue-green box and then up to the wall. Place the picture on the right hook.
- note the number 24 on the combined pictures and take the star.

Return to the original scene
- click on the cabinet by the window and look inside and place the star on the little house.
- take the silver key and note the milk bottle with the number 7.

Back up and go left to the cabinet with the blue-green box
- click on the blue-green box and use the silver key to open it.

*** And now a word from our intrepid translator and expert code-solver, Xenon ***
1. Look at symbols and words in the book.
Words in the book;
(Page1 Cinderella tour)
Page2 starlit sky
Page3 Pumpkin
Page4 Cake
Page5 shoe
Page6 Milk

2. the clue for the code is
-4 symbols on the picture by the door
-under the sofa (subtract two numbers)

*** Thank you @Xenon for saving us all yet again! ***

- back up and click on the center doors of the cabinet. Look at the book.
- The important thing here is to note the symbols at the top left of pages 2,3,4,5, and 6.
- These symbols correspond to
starlit sky (24)
Pumpkin (8)
Cake (35)
Shoe (29800)
Milk (7)

Back up and go right twice
- click on the picture to the left of the door. Note that the symbols appear within a shape that looks like a cloud.
- recall that the equation on the floor under the cabinet was "cloud minus star"
- taking the values for each symbol, we come up with cloud = 357248
- we know that star = 29800
- so we can do the math to come up with the code for the blue-green box

SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER327448SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER

- enter this code into the keypad on the blue-green box and press "OK"
- inside is an envelope which contains ..... a long and wordy letter.
- and under the screen are many many more words - keep clicking the right arrow to see an increasingly bizarre and incomprehensible scene unfold. What this has to do with Cinderella, I cannot say. But I CAN say that you have successfully finished this game!!!

I enjoyed the previous Rain-Lens games much more probably because they didn't have so much dialog.
this one had me cracking up at the end when she laughed and I didn't even know the story!
the others had more rooms and I wish they would go back to more 'language neutral" games.
TY @zoz for W/T as I would never have done it without it.

Thank you zoz! That was an excellent walkthrough! I tried this game last night, but I was too lost to find much on my own, and of course the language barrier is a huge deterrant. I was only able to do it again thanks to your Wandering Through.

But um, yeah, that was... a game. I understood nothing. But the graphics were nice. I always like that. :-)

I really hate codes like that. lol

So basically you're listing the order of the numbers based on the clues in the book.

You then take that order (as a whole number) and subtract it by the number clue for the shoe to get the code for the box.

*headdesk*

       Anonymous  5/17/10, 2:27 AM

Thank you zoz - thank you xenon - staggered through to the end but would have been lost very quickly, without the help and the expert walkthrough!

I take pride in only needing 2 hints for this -- the location of the acetone (thanks, Megi!) and the
translation of the book (thanks, Xenon!)

Once translated, the code was easy :)

Xenon, if you are around, could you give us an overview of the story in this game? The crazy lady at the end was very funny.

@zoz I love your walkthrough. Better gaming through chemistry!!!!

wish Xenon were around. would love to know what the girl was saying. first she looked pretty then she look really goofy! bet it was funny....
