not sure what to do, found a key and some letters and numbers, just going round in circles
Use the MAP button to help you find your way, collect the numbers and note the colours of the letters. You need to make your way up to the roof.
missing roman numeral 3 and 8. Any ideas?
@elliot, same here. You can place the sword on top of the roof, but it returns when you go down again.
Got a rope and a knobby stick too.

Oh, I've just noticed my rope's disappeared!!
I got out without the number eight, combine flag with pole and on the roof tie the flag and sword togehter with the brown belt, go down, there will be another passage now.
went back upstairs and moved chest. got piggy bank?

Inside the chest is something else if you click on the bottom again - don't know what it is, tho..but it's colorful!

I found the eight. If you touch the bottom of the chest and turn around on the same floor, the eight is right in the corner. I don't know if the clicking on the box triggered it, but that's what I did.
Now instead of the flags flying, there are people. Weird game.
@Viper, I could see the VIII tile was a problem to find when the game was live, but after reading @Catalyste's comment about the Final Fantasy reference ending, I thought it wasn't a found and solved issue.
Anyways, clicking on the box doesn't trigger it. Only placing the flag on the roof does it.

Actually I found that finding all items triggers the Final Fantasy Dissidia ending.
So you have to find all numbers, the sword, the flags, the pole, the pig, and the rope in order to get it.
@Catalyste, I also noticed what you're saying, and it took me 3 re-starts to find it out, lol :)
I liked the first games on the series, and tried several times during the day to play it, but wasn't able until later when the link worked again... and you're right, all of the item triggers the FFD ending, and what I tried to explain to @Viper was that the [VIII] tile doesn't show in the second floor until puting/attaching the flag.
Anyway, glad you made it with all of them... maybe the first one of all doing it? I think you were, so... congrats! :D
Oh, and I meant to say *it WAS a found and solve issue. Hmm, need to be more careful with what I type.
