I have a rope, a map and a screwdriver and I've been through the manholes.
Rope is on the floor when you enter manhole
Nvm, just found out; you have to click on the map to go to a room.
navigation (easier)... or click on bottom, then you will get back to map
Hook in Room A
Hammer in Room B
Blue Paint in Room B
still stuck on the code. The letters form badge with letters left over but that doesn't help much

rope is after you went down in the beginning. It's on floor at the bottom.

annaby, position of the book make the letter. The first book on the shelf is book A. The last book I. But don't know how that helps.

There are no common letters for all the books.
The first two rows have A and H
The second and third have D and G
The third and fifth have E
And fifth, first and second have H
i think i have caught up - i have hammer, hook/rope, map, blue paint, need code for room A ...
We need a card to use on the robot...must be in one of the safes...
Letters from a to i, corresponding to rooms, but what are the colour for?

@Small-tool - i have slightly different letters (and they change if I keep clicking on them)

Mine are (always);
Blue = AB HI
Red = A D GH
Yellow = CDEG
Black = EFH

I said mine DON'T change, but annaby's letters seem to change.
In my bookcase the first row is blue with ABHI
second row is red,with ADGH, third row is yellow, with CDEG...9 green...bottom is Black with EFH
They do not change ...

okay - I think it was just inaccurate clicking on the books that gave me the changing letters. sorry if I confused anyone
infouWEB has outdone himself....like the early TOE games...some were hard
I'm wondering if the wall colors have any significance, but can't think of what.

Cherry, for the first code you don't need the books. You just have to fill in the name of the room you want the key for and that's room C. So just fill in C.
Cherry, books are only needed for last code (windows x black books).
For blue key, you need to find the password in room A. Nothing to do with the book. You want the key for room C (so answer is capital C)

Don't use the hammer, when you smack yourself on the head. You need it later in another room.
wait..now i'm stucked after putting the red card on robot. it says "password for the safe is the order of red book"

cherry, look at the position of the books. If the book is A, it's a 1. For D = 4.
I am having a hard time believing that some are out....I can't get out of the hatch and my hook goes nowhere. Also, the little thing on the wall in the hatch room does nothing.
But I am missing one spot in inventory....help please

Use the blue card on the poster board in the room with the guy that sits on the table...board is red on right
Muse, did you attach rope on hook? If you did, just click on the top of the machine where octopus was in.

@fred - the blue card is actually a sheet. Use it on the ninja and he blends in with the wall
oops that's right...the robot, I tried the poster first and was wrong.

You have to make the sheet (from the cage) blue with the paint and then that blue sheet you can use to pass the red robot.
can someone please help me what we should after we put the red card on red robot? i've tried 0006 on the blue safe, but it's not working.

Cherry, is that the code from the red bookx? The red books are A D GH, so the code is 1478 (as a=1, b=2 and so on).

I loved this game and really enjoyed playing it live!
The long loading time is worth it...
First...get the batteries from the guard box
Go left, get SD and flashlight(under cone)
Go right twice, get shovel and get wrench from red box
Right again and use shovel on the brown pile of dirt and use wrench on manhole cover....jump in!
Put batteries in flashlight and use it in dark.
Click bottom right of screen to get rope, click hole on left top of screen to go up...
Get map from table and you can use it to navigate...also when you click bottom of screen it takes you back to map...
Starting at top of map, room B, get hammer and blue paint (behind cooler)
Room C, you need a key
Room D, you need a card
Room E, Use SD to free the friend, He gives you a hint
Room F, look in pocket for red key, notice bookcase
Room A has a code box (which room needs a key? just put in one capital letter(((((C)))))))
Get blue key...click left of door to get a hook, combine it with the rope
Room H, use red key to enter Room I
Go back to Room C and use blue key to free other friend...He give you a hint about the color blue...
Get sheet from cage and make it blue with the paint...
Now for the FUN stuff!!!
Go to Room D and Click the blue sheet and then the Ninja....
He sneaks past the robot to get the card...
use it on the robot's chest...click robot again to get clue for password...
Go to Room F and click each red book to see the letter it represents...then assign the letter as a number.....(((((a1,d4,g7,h8))))))
Go back to room I, and open safe, get memo and read....# of windows + # of black books...
Check around and see that there are only 2 windows and 4 black books....that makes 6...
and you have a codebox which needs 4 digits
....so....(((((0006)))))))
Put it in the machine in Room H and give ninja the hammer!!!!
He destroys the machine and it is now time to ESCAPE!!!!!!
The friends are waiting in Room E...so now we can use the Hook/rope
Click top of room and then the door and watch the show!
Click the spaceship....and they are off!!!
