To win the differences game just keep clicking on everything, no penalty for wrong clicks.
I got the differences too from madclicking. Got a battery... and a few other stuff.
I've been able to see some numbers on a picture using a sheet with holes on it, rotating it certain degrees.
Now I'm logged in at the computer. Used a code on the laptop lid and the Sparrow Book to get it.
Got a key from the laptop, but getting tired of this :(
I might quit for a while after my remaining time runs out.
Found a box under one of the couch seats and opened with the hint from one of the books. Got a blue coin, and I just found out a second coins inventory when clicking on the arrow left from it... i've got 4 coins now (!!!??)
A yellow box with a red sun, green moon and blue star behind the left side of the couch. Opened with the clue from the clock after resetting it with a bend nail I found somewhere. Got a green coin (5 now).
well, I don't know what the game is going to be like, but the opening graphics blew me away!
It looks terrific @zoz, but so much to do and many things to get! i'm lost here.
I just found a box in a closet that takes 18 coins!! And my time is running out now... I think I'll die :(
Inside the closet a flashlight. I could manage to put the battery from the differences game into it. It's tricky the way to use the items and to cobine them.
Behind the boxes inside the closet there's a white t-shirt and a bottle of something.
oh, Edgar, I hope you don't die! You'll be resurrected, though, I'm sure. Why can't I use the Phillips screwdriver on the three meter alien figure? And where else would such a question ever make any sense???
And the green t-shirt, of course. Got 3 shirts so far.
@zoz, did you find something behind a red box screwed on the wall? It takes a Phillips and a flat SD, but mine won't work either there :(
I turned the lights off and did a quick search around with the flashlight in the dark. Found a shiny coin next to the cow... nothing else.
I'm still stuck on that stupid find the differences game. I can only seem to find 9 and I'm contemplating going to bed instead.
I found 7 shiny coins in the dark, gotta zoom in to see them.
Oh, another coin in the zoomed view of the light switch... it was on the door handle. 7 coins out of 16... and about to die!!
Once I put the 7 in the machine it gave me credit for 10, so you don't need 16 coins, not sure how many you do need though.
hmm, "bad poster parentheses. Not recommended to put a little room." Is this Minoto? Is this reality? feeling very existential at midnight, here.
Looked again through the peephole on the door. It's daylight now and I can see a yellow 9 on a building outside.

Geez, the machine ONLY accepts 'Grass coins' and i only have 2 of those! And it says i need 18 of them!! :(
aw, I turned out the light and cannot find the switch in the dark to turn it back on. i'm clearly not meant for this game!
Yep, the one in the closet. Now it says 10.
Now I could use the yellow key I got from the laptop... on the safe behind the picture of a guy. Got a 'hanging hardware'

'Hanging hardware' goes on the door, then the hanger, then you can put shirts on it. No idea why you would want to do any of those things, but you can :)

I think I have a case of the midnight "not so interested in the escape as in the Zen of the game" disease. I'm just enjoying things like, "Something flyers: Flyer key card is like a glass crystal that can be exchanged for coins. What where you can exchange."
I did something the first time i didn't do... took off the head of the doll in the middle drawer of the cupboard... 'it has to be something sinister' it said, lol...? :S

This was strange.... started putting in the green coins and there was one I could put in over and over again.... got the keycard, opened the door and out!
think it was a glitch in the game...

@Jo-Ann just got back to try again. Hi! Also, no. No idea. I did figure out that you need to turn the lights off and use the flashlight for the coins and use bulb in lamp with lights out for color order hint.

where's the bomb? Nail is in bottom drawer with blue tshirt. Did you find all the coins? I found 15 grass, and I don't know how many others. Trying to get back to where I was before I left. May take me a while.

didn't zoom on chinese doll when I used it. Just kept clicking her with it b/c it made a noise and her head came off. I don't get the code either. Those who did earlier didn't share lol. I think it refers to the book on the shelf though.

the password for the computer is from the cock robin book.
The note's P01 means page 1. -6 means line 6. So the first letter is F.
The only odd one (if I counted right) was PO3-10. That was a lower case letter a. I used the V instead because it was the next capital letter, and it was the sign from the game.
The passcode is in lower case letters.
huh...I was just attacked by a ghost.
I gave this game another chance (late) last night and could find almost all of the coins. I only missed the yellow one (to dissemble the bomb under the table?) and 2 of the shinny ones (but having 16 out of the 18 needed was more than enough for me to get the keycard and to escape the glitchy way @Chris and @testsite might have done).
I also thought of coming back to the game and to write sort of a "partial-through" for it, but now that I read the items change location in every game, that might be a bit hard thing to do :(

restarted...now have 16 coins found in the dark as well as purple, black, blue, and silver
also have two screwdrivers, coat hanger, three t-shirts, 2 posters, 3 code sheets, flashlight+battery, two figures, two bottles

okay, drank my recovery drink and still have life drink but, if this ghost keeps it up I'm still going to die soon.
I may need to start over. It's too hard to get all the coins in the dark with this ghost chasing me. I did figure out once I found the head I took off that when you view it in inventory and click on it a few times it changes. I wouldn't decapitate it though. The ghost is killing me.
I only found 9 of the grass coins. I'm bad at hunting in the dark (especially with an annoying ghost that keeps attacking)
This game can't be good if the screwdrivers don't work ;)

also, you can "use" the head but, you can't give it back. what for?

@kkf yes, I agree. The only thing I could use sd for was for removing that head.
opened pc, got key and red coin, opened safe, got hanging hardware, placed in on door with hanger. Now I can hang one shirt at a time...why?
Also, last game I could turn the shirt over and see something written, not that it mattered, not in english, this time I can't?

well, I tried again and just blew up as I was typing "Sparrow" in computer (which I know is wrong thanks to kkf!)
Not good to hear that locations of items change with every game.
A very few things I remember:
Coins found with flashlight include
- desk drawers (open with crystal key)
- shelving beside desk in computer view
- behind couch where "Yerrow box" is
- top left of shelf with books (I found none in the books, so that wasted time)
- lots of tricky floor spots
-inside cabinets
-inside closet
The thing found under the right couch cushion can be placed on the cartoon poster over the desk both before and after placing the picture from the shelf in that frame. With the picture and no rotation of the black thing with holes, "2009" was highlighted, but I never used it anywhere.
I never figured out the puzzle with 49 squares under the center couch cushion
Most of the T-shirts have writing on the back, so be sure and turn them.
I never figured out how to use the SDs, except on the Cute Chinese Girl doll to remove her head!
I found that I could use the flashlight in any view without turning out the lights by highlighting the flashlight and then pressing "Not use". Strange glitch, but useful once I figured it out.
I never saw the girl from The Ring in the peephole, but I saw Machu Picchu and a lovely beach, as well as some cheesy Las Vegas guy and a busy street scene.
In addition to 10 or so grass coins (one was in the bull's ear!) I found a silver JFK coin and also a purple one.
Once the black light is in the lamp and the lamp is on, turn off the wall light switch and see "The answer is darkness"
Fascinating game. I hope the above tidbits help someone. I dread having to play that stupid differences game again (but thanks so much to @small-tool for listing them all!)
Oh, and a question for the gamemakers: Why no Pause button or Save feature???

I found that the colored coins go into the circles with the bomb... still missing four

strange yellow box won't work for me... using red 1, green 4, blue 5 as per clock
the 49 squares puzzle is solved by making the bat(?) picture from one of the bottom shelf books.
for pc I got furcvie but kitkatfox said the c was lower case so she used the next upper case letter which for me was A. So I used furavie all lower case
@Jo-Ann, you need to use the bend nail on the tiny hole in the back of the clock to reset the numbers to use on the yellow box.
@Jo-Ann did you reset the clock with the nail first?

I keep thinking there must be coins inside the two figures with screws on the back...why won't the SD's work?
and the 'bat' thing from the picture to use in the blue machine is seen (bigger and clearer) on a blue book with "BLUE MACHINE" on the spine... go figure! lol
Jo-Ann, the times i've played, the bend nail is always on the upper of the bottom drawers in-between the red box and the red chest.

@Jo-Ann I got those 3s too. Using green code sheet with green poster up.
Also, zoom in on lower drawers of cabinet with difference game. you should get the nail in one of those but, some items change spots. Once it was in the lower one and once in the one above it. Also in that view you can click on the bottom of the middle cabinet doors for chinese lady and something else.
I took the dolls head off and now it is gone?
@Jo-Ann, my bend nail is in the 7th box of the inventory (top row). Are you sure it's nowhere?

@Jo-Ann Doll's head fell under cabinet. tricky to get the right view. Also be aware you will be hunted by a ghost now and you'll need your "life" and "recovery" drinks handy. Also, you'll need to hurry.

ok, game is getting buggy, this time when I restarted, without any SD's in my inventory I clicked in the doll and something sinister is going to happen...

uh oh. through stupidity, I did not heed my friend Edgar's advice. I did try elsewhere first though.
I'm listing the location of my colored coins:
Silver - under ashtray.
Red - in CD tray of laptop.
Orange - inside a book.
Yellow - (still missing it)
Green - Inside the yellow box behind sofa.
Blue - inside the blue machine (using the 'bat' shape)
Indigo - Under the picture frame on the shelves.
Violet - Under the leftmost green book in upper shelf.
Black - In cow's ear.
@Edgar, when I played I used the green spray paint on the table, but nothing happened, then the can was gone.
@kkf, I thought the flashlight battery had gone dead, too, but then I found that by clicking on flashlight then "Not Use" while the room lights are ON, takes you to a view in the dark WITH the flashlight on.
@Edgar excellent! Now I'm caught up on colored coins. I'm going to have to go get my son but, I hope you all have it figured out soon. This game needs a save button or a pause button with the time limit + all the tedium with the coins.
@Edgar, so far all of my colored coins are in the same locations, so that must not change...

When my battery went dead, I replayed the stupid find the difference game for the new one.
I'm missing one coin, which must be in the locked drawer. I knocked down the crystal key in the dark, but I haven't located where it landed yet.

coin3 on the shelf to the left of the laptop when zoomed in on it (the scene where you are able to close the laptop cover)

coin5 in the closet by the red locked box
coin6 under the shelves when zoomed in on the small photograph to the left of the laptop
coin8 when zoomed in on the shelf with the Japanese doll in it. It is on the shelf to the left, but you can only see it when the doors are open. Another time it was in the cupboard with the doll

what is up with the doll head? If you look at it long enough, it opens its eyes and mouth and makes popping sounds
Also, for the switch plate, it says the screws are covered. Does that mean we need to uncover them, then the SD's will work?
@mgkanda no joy. I don't see it there with either lights on or off. Which either means it rolled somewhere else, or I got my resarts confused and didn't knock it down this time. :P

Just an idea before I go. I don't have the game open but, what if you could use the doll head when the eyes are open on the peep hole. You can "use" it but, not to give it back. The images in the peep hole change when you do different things. A few times I got the creepy girl from "The Ring".

I never did find the black lightbulb or the yellow coin.
lol a glitch allowed me to get the purple coin a second time. When I put it in the bomb with the others, it turned off (even though I missed the yellow coin). That stopped the countdown
@Jo-Ann I got the black light bulb the first time I played, but I can't remember from where. I haven't found it since.
And I still am missing the yellow coin.

I'm betting that the books labelled "Ghost", "Fluorescent Agent", "Black Light" and the Olive book where the orange coin is ("Coins") all have clues about those things that we poor illiterates just can't read.

I can't get my screwdrivers to work, and I can't find the crystal key after I knock it down. I think I'll try this game again later. Maybe the game maker will fix the bugs.

the objects change locations, which would make doing a walkthrough hard, even if I had a clue of what to do in the game.

Put light bulb in the lamp on the desk.
Turn off the room light and use the flashlight.
You will see RGBY with arrow under the book shelf and cards mark on the top of pipe shelf.
Use numbers paper from the red safe on the poster.
Okay, I came back to see the progress and the most notable IMO is Xenon's about the bugs. If this is hard + bugs I may need to let it go and just give it a pass. I got the bulb the second time I played but, not the other 20 million times. And when I did have it it was under the green book with the indigo coin. So, oh well, I guess.
Had fun playing with you! Without the bugs this game would've been pretty great IMHO. :)

I think it's just about getting the flashlight, the battery and finding some coins in the dark. Everything else is just a giant red herring :)
But Xenon said we don't even need coins. Besides when I did have them all the key card machine would just keep counting up and never would give me a card.

okay, thanks Xenon! I guess I'll give it another try! I may be the only one lol. I'm like Jo-Ann kkf and Edgar about the bombs. I thought there was only one and have no clue how to get into any of the chests.
I know nobody is playing this anymore but, I'd like to say for the record and despite all the complaints about it that I could play the differences game over and over again. I think it might be the funniest thing I've ever seen! And the song is hilarious.
Also, I'm stuck. Again. lol :s No bulb. Xenon says it's either on the bookshelf or in the desk drawer but, it's not in either place. Maybe not the bottom desk drawer? In which case, I need another key.
I think it's unplayable as long as the SDs don't work. It's a shame b/c I really like the game. I want to finish it without a WT once the bug is fixed. I guess I'll just check back.

You can open all deskdrawers with a same key.
I so dislike TIMED games. I will not start over and redo everything I've just done for the last hour. How boring and a waste of time.
Game creators, when I know I'm going to be timed out, I cannot appreciate all the work you put into graphics and sound. I usually run for help just to be able to finish. This makes the game way less enjoyable and less challenging.
This is for the game makers: This was potentially a really great game, but the bugs in it made it mediocre at best and infuriating at worst. I do hope that you will put some effort into correcting the bugs and release this game again - I'll be the first one to play!
Came back in and was able to open all the desk drawers which added pliers/nippers, and a red T to my inventory. I was able to stop the countdown without the yellow coin and that's about all I could do. It really doesn't seem to matter what you paint and I can't open any of the red chests. I am a determined person but, this one really does seem to be a lost cause. I agree with zoz. If the bugs (sd etc...) were fixed I would be first in line to play it when it is published again.
LOL!!! Before I left I decided I'd try to BF the bull's gate and without a zero on the # pad, naturally, the 2nd # I tried was 112 and it worked!
