Turn left
Get the steel square from this ash tray
Go left
Click to the right of the couch
Get the paper behind the couch
Click it in the inventory and then the
Go left to back up
Click under the right side of the couch
Use the steel square to get the object that is out of your reach -- it is a knife
Click under the left side of the couch
Note the equation hint
Click to the left of the couch
Use the knife on the off-colored square
Get the key and note the glowing letters
Back up using the right arrow
Go left and note the locked door
Go left
Zoom on the box
Use the key to get the eraser and wrench
Back up and click the top left corner of the table top
Use the eraser to learn E’s value
Zoom on the floor to the left of the rug
Use the wrench to find the codebox
Enter the code to unlock the door

Back up 2 times, turn right to the door, and escape!
SOLUTION TO THE CODEBOX
The couch says AxE-A. The table after using the eraser says that E=783. So you need to find A. Look at the shape formed by the As in the glowing numbers. They form a number 6 -- shaped just like the one on the paper your found behind the couch. So (6x783)-6=SPOILER4692SPOILER
