So we had to see the picture on the tv first.
@mgkanda, like small-tool said, you need to see the TV clue first.
Still no idea about the order of the coloured numbers, or where to put them (door, maybe?).

Any ideas about door code? I tried the card (in inventory) and combinations from the cards in drawer, but no go...

Also the 5 of diamonds in the drawer is black. Should be red.

I tried 1458 very early on but it didn't work - we had to solve the other things first I assume

@rarita, I don't really, know. I was playing about with the hands (clock's, not mine) and suddenly it opened.

I think they were red herrings, but still we had to do all the other things before the end code works. Just played again.

@SwissMiss, hi!!! I don't know, lol! I didn't find a clue for the order of the colours... (Which don't make the door code!)
Funny enough, the odd number out (blue 9, from book) is the time we set the clock, but I don't know if it's a coincidence or if there was a clue for that (two blue numbers, one not part of the code for door; in which case, where is the 5 and why having the card as extra clue for door?).
The door code is the hearts (from top to bottom) on the card you find under the table. But only works after doing everything else.
Like the clock only works after you opened the book to see the 9 and the wall picture only works after you've seen the tv picture.
Ah, just read mgkanda's hint about the 5 in the drawer! Probably be our missing 5, but... Such random clues!

After putting clock on 9:00 click the clock again.

I don't really know how I did it, I played with the hands and it worked (hands kind of go into focus when it's set to 09 and you can't change the time any more).
