I'm outside the last gang members apartment and can't find anything to get me in! Lame game.
Am I alone in liking this game? At first it tells you wat to do and the french accent is terrible (pun intended) but the game is beautifully designed and gets better on each level.
@Christina, after you get Meaty, and you're on your way to get the 3rd gang member, where is the walking stick?
I agree, the graphics are good, and I suppose I should give it another chance...:) Perhaps it's the large size of the text box that's a bit irritating.
How weird is that?! I load the game again, and the mime gives me the umbrella! Didn't before!
Ah, you got the first bug there Rachel. Second if you consider the one in the bathroom :-). And yes it's large textbox and not a perfect game but other games have annoying features and music as well. We're all used to American and Japanese games, but how weird are the really? I've allways liked the spanish and turkish games on this site and I like the graphics and ideas on this one as well. Could be a bit more to it (it's basicly about sticks pulling a trapdoor, handles opening doors and turning weels everywhere) and it should have an option to turn help on/off.

Got another bug. I'm in Le Metro and there's no lever to open the door. Fortunately you can go out and go back in and it's saved your progress, which I like. And amazingly enough, I didn't have a problem with the bathroom :)
And yes, the music on most of the games can be really annoying LOL!
you have to take the red button from poster outside, then place it and turn, then walk fat man left, he hit´s the box to the right, thin man goes in tube and get´s lever
I have got Meaty, but I'm stuck on the next level with the police car. There is no cane to pull the trapdoor.
I don't know where this game is from, but it is not a French game - for instance « Ça va, et tu ? » (((o:

You stop the train by using the yellow wedge from outside the metrostation, looks like a sign they put up when floors are wet. And no it's not french but inspired by france and french cartoonists.

And @Pascale, the mime should leave you an umbrella, but @Rachel had a bug there as well. If you restart with a saved game the umbrella will appear.

Stuck in the circus with the waterpipes. there is no lever to control the water...
I restarted and got the same thing as Rachel : I was given the umbrella !

And the game is American considering the accent in the english text.

Only the third thief can get there in the tube as long as the water level in first and last container is exactly up to the white line @Sylli. Not an easy puzzle.

Stuck in the circus with the pipes. Can't reach the bucket, and can't reach anything in the other room either.
I don't understand the water level puzzle : I have a level, I can switch on the red lights for a short time, but nothing happens.
Sorry, I meant : I have a leveR (and not a level...)
Finally, it is working, but I'm not finished with that puzzle !
@Rachel, still stuck? You need the 3th thief to pick something up via the tube in the first scen (stick or lever, I forgot what) then go past the clown invisible, climb up, I think you need to shift a crate using the second thief and then walk to the left past the watertank over that crate to pick up the bucket. I should have just done a walkthrough and I think I'm going to make one now.

watch out the sign in the circus scene that you use to stop the train disappears before you have a chance to use it sometimes
It does comp, but then it magicly reappears once you take a step to the left. So no big bug there. Almost finished with walkthrough and solution to the waterpuzzle.
I like how the bonus clock keeps running while the thief won't shut up and just do what I'm telling him to. No thanks to this one. If I want to read a book, I'll go to my bookshelf.

Three thieves or Mon Français est très mauvais -walkthrough.
You have to click items (single click) to pick them up and put them in your inventory, then singleclick to use them. Rob is thief 1, Meaty is thief2 and Slim is thief3.
Act 1, gather the 3 thieves.
Scene 1a Click a few times to avoid the text or read it carefully. Pick up the stick on your left and pull down the trapdoor on your right. Climb up.
-1b Click front gate key to the left (red valve) and put it on the chain to the right. Click Rob to make him invisible. Walk out.
Scene 2a Pick up stick to your left, open trapdoor on upper right. Use your invisibility to go past the mouse, pick up wedge. Stop carts with the wedge, climb down and go to the right.
-2b Pick up gray valve, put on machine and turn gas off. Pick up the lever Meaty throws, climb up ladder and use lever to open the gate. Go down and right.
Scene 3a Pick up the umbrella the mime leaves behind. (Note: if the game is buggy there is no umbrella. Just start over, choose the scene you just left and the umbrella will be there) Pull down ladder, climb up, choose Meaty to push the crate. Choose Rob again, become invisible, go right and climb in.
-3b Pick up stick you get thrown, pick up the clock and combine those items. Use together on waterbed. Pick up slice of cake from the table and use that as a wedge. Talk to Slim and go right.
-3c Choose Slim for the job, climb in the drainpipe to the right, pick up bucket and go back. Select bucket on bathtub 3x and climb out the window.
-3d Follow the mime to the left, choose Meaty to push the balloon, climb in and fly to:
Act 2, Entering the circus.
Scene 1a Pick up the red valve from the poster and the yellow wedge (looks like a warning the put on wet floors) from next to the clown. Go into the trainstation.
-1b Place the red valve on the tubes and turn it on. Choose Meaty to push the crate to make the gas flow. Go left.
-1c Push back the crate to open the drainpipe, choose Slim to climb in and pick up the lever from the corpse. Go back to
-1b, climb ladder, open door and enter the trainstation.
-1d Use the yellow sign/wedge to stop the train, climb up.
Watch the cutscene by clicking, then enter
Scene 2a Use slim to enter the drainpipe, pick up a cane and go back. Use Rob to become invisible and pass the clown, go right.
-2b Use stick to pull down the ladder, climb up and use Meaty to push the crate. Go left on that same level back to 2a. Pick up the bucket, go right to 2b again. Use the bucket in the waterbasin 3 times, go right and climb up the second ladder.
-2c Go right to 2d, pick up an L-lever in the middle of that scene (against yellow background), go left twice to 2e.
-2e Use Rob to pass the clown invisible, use the lever on the door, pick up the red valve, go right to 2c.
2-c Use the red valve on the machine and get yourselves shot into
Act 3, inside the circus.
Scene 1a Go right to the automobile, use Meaty to give it a shove, go left 2x
-1c Pick up the stool and rope with hook, combine, go right to the scene with the canon and the chandelier.
-1b Use the combined hook to pull down the chandelier and watch the cutscene.
Scene 2. Go right twice to the entrance of the tent and pick up a handle.
-2b Use the handle on the watertanks to level the water in the first and 4th tank with the white stripe. Solution below. Use slim to climb up the ladder and go through the drainpipe to pick up the wedge. Go left 2x.
-2c Use the wedge to stop the clowns, take the yellow valve. Go back to 2a (the lion)
-2a Use the yellow valve to pull up the chain and open the gate. Watch the final cutscene.
Solution water level. 1-3, 3-4, 1-3, 3-2, 4-2, 2-3, 3-4, 2-1.

easy game. I liked the graphics. Hated how slow the text was. And getting them to interact and not just walk to an object was a bit touchy. No bugs for me, so perhaps the problem is fixed?
Style reminds me a lot of the magician puzzles where he could turn to air and rock.
But did I miss part of the storyline? Maybe I zoned out in all the talking, but we seem to have a time traveling circus owner who wants our thieves to steal everything for him. He has video surveillance and can manufacture clowns. Then he calls them one trick ponies and locks them away. It seems he went from thinking they were the greatest thieves in Paris to thinking they were too dumb to get out of a simple jail with one guard. I replayed to see if I missed a part where they messed up a theft on purpose to stop him.

Actually that was a really cute story in the end! Thanx Christina, for encouraging me to try it again! Although I doubt I would have been able to finish it without your incredible WT!
