First black marble in lamp in first room

After a sea of less than great games this morning, this is great.

Yeeeej! Though your timing sucks dear SelfDefiant! I'm abou to have dinner... :-)))

Thx SD - great!

Oh Yay!!!! A Selfdefiant game... and live!

Loading...

anyone understands the shape hint (heart, circle, etc.) for the drawer in bathroom?
so far I have SD, 1 marble, a magnet, corkscrew, yellow gem and sneaky coin

Gold key in pool, goggles needed

Combine magnet with string to get black marble in leftmost bathroom. Have 3 marbles now.

hmm, can't take marble out of the drainage even using the magnet

thanks, Zazie: do you remember where the string was?

Weeeeeeee! A live Selfdefiant

I already don't want to escape this beautiful place....

2nd marble in bathroom

String was second row from above, 3rd room in a box.

use corkskrew on bottle in back of kitchen.

Miller, use the phone number for shapes

Another marble in bathroom drawer below row,4rth room.

thanks @Zazie: 4 marbles now.

Sorry, Miller, I misread your comment... I think we are talking about different shapes

phone number? haven't seen them yet. also I need a hammer and a knife.

Dug up yellow gem!

Can´t find corkscrew...

just found the phone number outside on table. thanks

POP found it...in the upper room

I really don't get the shape hint. also I need to water the plant.

All marbles in box, got silver key.

Hammer in silver room and box for lines code.

the heart could be the triangle, the sun the octagon, but the rest...?

White key now from jar.

@Zazie: did you get your last marble from shape-drawer?

Orange key in white room

Phone number for box with shapes, ie, 5 would = a shape with 5 sides, etc.

@shannon: duh, thank you!

Miller i did not yet open the shape thing i think...

I'm in!! \o/

ok, sothere was the pink gem. is there a marble after watering the plant?

Now i found pink marble in the shape draw.

Hope im not too late...

or is there a black marble by using the screwdriver? since I haven't used the SD yet...

Miller, use SD in the left most bathroom to open the lif in bathtub. Then use magnet with string on marble.

still need code for red, green, blue and 3 digit code box, need black key and need to water plant

missing red and blue gems

Got lots of things.. will try to catch up.

@Zazie: thanks, unfortunatly I forgot that I already did do that...

Anyone know where to use Rusty key??

Ahh in fact orange key is the RUSTY key !

shannon in white room.

found it

@Shannon third from left and up

Got 3 marbles, 2 gems, SD and crokscrew.

In rusty room is a code box i don´t understand.

Happy Friday all.
Sneaky coin in room 18.
(reading bottom to top left to right)

@Zazie I am stuck with that one too

I think it has something to do with hrb A dipesldw clue but not sure

Zazie, for 3 digit code, remember that on the note with phone number the words were in GREEN, and on the strange note that made no sense, the words were BLUE

maybe remember where my 5th marble is.
I found the one's
- in wine bottle
- from a bowl
- bath tub
- from a drawer in a bathroom

Rusty key in white-key-room

Miller and one from digging outside ? Not sure anymore.

@Zazie: now that was the yellow gem.

I'm missing 1 marble!!

@Miller there was one in the very first room in a lamp shade

@Shannon, I don't understand your hint for that 3 digit box

shannon did you open the box ?
I still don´t get it.

@Jo-Ann: thank you!

Sorry Miller, there are so many places :)

anyone water the plant yet?

I cut the green gem outside, have 4 now.

YW @Miller

Now, I need a clue for the 3 digit code box

and how to water that plant!

Blue key in second rusty room. Pry open drawer

Jo-Ann, not yet...

Here I am playing catchup again...

The fifth marble is in the lamp in third room from right in the middle line.

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 10:15 AM

blue: 3 1 8 from blue letters
green: 4 2 4 from telephone note (green letters9

Black key in blue room.

I can't get the 6 suqres puzzle.. help?

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 10:16 AM

wierd breifcase...count letters

Ok, I will explain the box a little more clearly. The green note said "just be cool". The blue note said "hrb A dipesldw" There are two codes for the box. I think I used the blue note first, just counted letters. "hrb" = 3 "A" = 1, and so on. Then I pressed a button and one of those red lights turned green. ONce it turns green, input the other note.

hello everyone!
theres a marble in the lamp on the right when you enter the house
i cant get the box the box in silver key room with the shapes.im using it from the note but its not working..

Super sneaky spy fun for us to play

So escape for a while from a mansion thats grand
On a tropical island with soft white sand

And somewhere will be hidden a sneaky token!

So thanks to the man so skilled and so clever

@Zennor, such a Magnificent Ode to a Magnificent Gamemaker!!

Thanks, SD. That 'hidden' room was fun!

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 1:35 PM

Is anybody here?

Did I leave a room off of the map? Sorry if I did! :)
@Lili-Chan, I am here atm.

@Selfdefiant, I played a bit earlier (but not live :( and I don't remember any "hidden" rooms not on map. Will check back in now

@selfdefiant: Thanks again. I will NEVER get tired of these games!!!

Haven't seen Minoto or Sakura lately - what's up with that? I never tire of those, either!

I didn't notice any hidden rooms.

Lovely game for a lovely evening. Thanks as always, SelfDefiant

@Zennor nice poem. The Z's are always such creative people lol

Out with help with the box (didn't realize it took 2 3-digit codes) and for the hint on which room to search for the black key.

I am very tired of Sakura games, because they are always the same...4 balls, 4 keys, this annoying eraser, the same picture puzzles, always the same places where keys are hidden etc...and at the end the stupid number code that i never can solve (but it is the only challenge in fact)....Sorry but i only say what i am thinking and i am not offending anybody.

I'm stuck. Can someone please make a walkthrough. I have my rooms numbered 1-21, starting from top, going left to right, but anything will help. I don't like reading through all comments and learning things that I don't need to know. Thanks

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 3:57 PM

=( Selfdefiant answered me but i wasn`t here because i had to leave to do some things...can`t believe i`ve missed the oportunity of being helped by him!!! **panic** - and now i am alone here...and began the game again in order to try to finninsh it...and i need help...

@Zennor, Great tribute to a great gamemaker! Thanks for sharing that!
@Angie, I will try to make a Guide Through as to where things are...

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 4:02 PM

@zoz, do you know what to put on that box with 3 numbers?

great game....:)

Lili.Chan: you need two codes: the blue letters and the green letter from the notes

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 4:08 PM

thanks, Miss Spain ^^
i got the two codes...but i don`t know how to use it...can you just give me a clue?

@Lili-chan: you need to count the letter...put in first code, press button and one of the red dots on the top turns green...then input the second code and you can open it....

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 4:10 PM

i understand now...i didn`t notice some things...thanks...

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 4:13 PM

Miss Spain, i was making thing more complicated than hey really are...i was thinking that i had to decode what was written....i was so stupid...lol

       Anonymous  2/18/11, 4:17 PM

finnished it! thanks, Miss Spain, for the help...

GuideThrough
As Angie said above, numbering the rooms from left to right, starting at the top. For some orientation (until some kind soul makes a link to a numbered map):
Top row:1
Second row: 2-7
Third row: 8-16 *(16 is where the game begins)*
Fourth row: 17-21

I'm going to go by rooms in order and post what is found there.

1. 2 gold coins, Blue Gem (must water plant to get this). Clue Note for order of placement of Gems, Corkscrew.
2. 2 gold coins, Blue Key (must open drawer using SD).
3. 3 gold coins, Red Gem, (after opening box under bed using number of letters from Green and Blue Clue notes), Knife. (Gain access to this room using Rusty Key).
4. 2 gold coins, String, Box to place Black Marbles, Silver Key (in box).
5. 2 gold coins, Pink Gem, Sneaky Coin, Shapes/Phone Number Puzzle Box.
6. 2 gold coins, Green Gem, Shovel.
7. 3 gold coins, Yellow Gem (must dig up with Shovel.)
8. 2 gold coins, Black Marble (in bathtub drain; use SD to remove cover and String + "J" Magnet to retrieve the marble).
9. 3 gold coins, White Key (in jar; break with Hammer).
10. 3 gold coins, Black Marble
11. 2 gold coins, Black Marble, (in Wine Bottle, use Corkscrew, " J" Magnet.
12. 3 gold coins
13. 2 gold coins, Screwdriver, L-shape Clue Note.
14. 2 gold coins, Black Marble
15. 2 gold coins, Goggles
16. 2 gold coins, Gold Key (in spa; use goggles)
17. 2 gold coins, Black Key (in overhead light), Purple Gem. (gain access to this room using Blue Key.)
18. 2 gold coins, Rusty Key (under bedskirt). Blue Jibberish Clue. (Gain access to this room using White Key).
19. 3 gold coins, Orange Gem, (after solving L-shapes Box Puzzle), Hammer (in drawer). (Gain access to this room using Silver Key.)
20. 3 gold coins, Black Marble (in drawer).
21. 3 gold coins, Bottle of Water, place to put all Gems. gain access to this room using Black Key.)

I hope this helps and I hope I didn't make too many mistakes. I've got to rush off now!

Great Game!!!!!
But.....

I'm new to these games.
Can someone explain how to use L-shapes Box Puzzle clue?

Tried the arrow upward, downward, side wards.
Nothing

Clarification on the 2 most "troublesome" puzzles:

For what I called the Shapes/Phone Number Puzzle Box in Room 5, use the Phone Number Clue Note that also had the Green "Just Be Cool" Clue on it. I think this was on the table in the first scene (room 16) and I swear I thought I had included it above! The numbers in the Phone Number should be converted into shapes according to the number of sides per shape.

SPOILER 568-3856 becomes Pentagon - Hexagon - Octago- Triangle - Octagon - Pentagon - Hexagon

For the box under the bed in room 3:
The Blue Jibberish Clue in room 18 had 3 nonsense words consisting of 3, 1, and 8 letters.
The Green Clue consisted of three words, having 4,2, and 4 letters ("Just Be Cool").
So set the keypad to "318" then press the switch above the blue bar.
Then set the keypad to "424" and press the switch above the green bar.
All 3 lights should now be green and the middle switch will open the box.

For the L-Shapes Box Puzzle in room 19, use the Clue Note found in room 13, and don't forget there is an arrow at the bottom of the note, so you must rotate the paper counterclockwise to look at the solution.

OK, I think that covers it!

and apologies to @Lili-chan I never saw your question because I was frantically trying to put together the Guide Through. It looks as though you got answers, though.

@Elena, did my explanstion help at all? When you turn the paper so that the arrow points upward, you should see the solution. Click on each figure in the Puzzle Box until the patterns match what's on the paper, then click on the switch (I think it's yellow).

@ph1n3a5, very nice! One day I'll figure out how to post something like that, too! (Hopefully, before I learn to speak and read Japanese!)

@zoz, Thank you for the explanation!!!!

It really, really helped, I can see now how that works and finish with the game

Thank you again!!

Well, The Man promised us a trickier game in his post on the Dark Asylum thread - And he did certainly did not disappoint!
I can just hear him, writing the black key in that light: "This should slow them down a bit..." as he chuckles to himself =)
Jo-ann was right about not wanting to escape, but what we truly were doing was helping Sneaky complete his mission and get out, so we can lounge there as long as we like =) after all, we don't show up in mirrors, so hopefully invisible to the owners, too?
@ Selfdefiant:
Thank you so much for another hour of Sneakiness. It was a lot of fun, watching out for the new tricks and hiding places.
Brilliant!
And Zennor speaks artistically for all of us! [Thanks, Zennor!]

This comment has been removed by the author.

Yes, zennor's poem was very nice, thanks!
@Rookwings, I think I got more of a laugh out of your comment than the hiding place!

Yeah - what a way to start my morning
waking up to a WONDERFUL SELFDEFIANT GAME

and got out all on my own in leisurly 12 minutes with all the coins

great game again - and certainly a bit trickier

now I can start my chores with a smile on my face!

       Anonymous  2/19/11, 1:56 AM

Beatiful game and I did it all alone except from the 3 digit codes - Thank you!!! :-)

       Anonymous  2/19/11, 4:23 AM

Definitely the most clever game-maker. His games has helped me gain awareness and concentration ( suffers from ataxia) so I quote Zennor!!!

So thanks to the man so skilled and so clever
I hope Super sneaky spy guy goes on forever!

Thank you zoz. That was a great walkthrough. This game kicked my butt this time. Whew, glad I'm out.

So close to completing on my own. Darn you black key. Thanks Selfdefiant, another great game.

well this is the first of these games I cannot finish. No luck finding red, blue or black keys. the walkthrough doesn't help me find them. I'm sad to say I have to quit now. boo hoo :(

POP....found red and blue keys, but black key isn't in ceiling light in blue key room....that's all I need now and 2 more gems.

the black key is NOT in the ceiling light in the blue key room. period. am quitting with a grrrrr, as that's all I need and can't find it anywhere,,,it's so frustrating

@Yorkie_Gal, I just checked and the Black Key is still in the overhead lamp in the room opened by the Blue Key (room 17). If you look at the recessed light directly above the nearest bed (where the purple gem is found), then click on the light, you'll find the Black Key.

@Yorkie_gal may have like me been looking in the ceiling fan! Thanks @zoz for the walkthrough -- For once I found all the coins first time through, but missed "obvious" things like the shovel! lol

how do u work out the shape code??? hw do u water d plants??? pleeeez help!!! :)
