FUN! But my orbs were stolen

Is anyone making a WT? I'm keeping track of number of orbs, if anyone isn't doing it?

me too had all 100 orbs got out and said 50.

I must be missing a candle, cannot find place to put the pieces...

@mel, there are 5 candles... I missed one for awhile too

sorry can't remember where they are, I'm out of the game. I do remember one was up higher then the rest

hello! beginning the game now! thanks, selfdefiant, for another game XD

YES!! ALWAYS feel better when I find the SCREWDRIVER!

Apologies if anyone has already done this, but here's a link to the map with numbered rooms. I always like to stick to this idea:

aff...clicked on the add...

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 10:13 AM

glad that the game is saved...

@Dark_rose: HATE it when that happens! Fortunately these games auto save!

I can't finish this game tonight :( Date night with the hubby and we're catching up on Fringe episodes. Good Luck everyone still here! If anyone makes a WT, you're more than welcome to use my map! :D

How do I get the colours of the box in 5th room row 3?

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 10:35 AM

does anybody know about the radio (or wahtever that is)?

dark_rose,
Write down the dial positions, it's a clue you need it later.

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 10:42 AM

thanks, small-tool...it doesn't have anything to do with numbers, right?
actually, i think i'm not finnishing this game today...i'd love to, but i have some things to do. i'll finnish it later! bye!

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 10:56 AM

Hi everyone - I can't seem to find the silver key - though having the power of the crystal ball makes me very happy!

Excellent game!

Огромное спасибо!!!

just about finished & encountered a bug? My gem that was found in the dark room that was supposed to be white...says purple... and i already have the purple gem. Does anyone have the colors of gems needed?

Silver key .. second row from top.. far right room

@ Mikey.. you will find a purple gem too. but the "white" gem is mislabeled

So how many colors do i need? I have green, orange, yellow, purple, blue & Purple(white).

Mikey88,
You only miss red.
But probably you already have it, but still have to take it. It's in the book.

If anyone is still here, can you remember where the silver key is? I never found it.

Thanks!

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 11:21 AM

Duh! Thank you EnJoy - those are the ones that I can usually find myself!

EscLvr,
I think you had to use the hammer somewhere top right.

Would someone please tell me where the lighter is?

Thanks, small-tool. Will check it out.

Lighter anyone?

Lighter is in the room with the 4 digit code.. click on the right drawer.
5th row from top, room 4 of that row

Is that the room with the chair in the center?

@ Enjoy Thanks a million! I'm forever in your debt

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 12:19 PM

I can't find the book with the clues, where is it?

randomuser,
Sorry don't remember anymore, but I think it was somewhere in the top right rooms.

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 12:51 PM

@small-tool, OK found book after gold door in room 38 (rachel) top right. Thanks

Thank you Selfdefiant that was a really enjoyable game. I loved the magic crystal ball.
Thank you to those who worked out the number clues because I was stuck at those.

I haven't been able to play the self defiant melting mindz games in a while because they won't load properly. It works in IE but not in Firefox. And its only the melting mindz games that won't load. I play the gray scale series a lot. I don't know what to do.I really like this series but I'd like to play them in firefox. Any suggestions?

I'll have a go at doing the first part of the WT - first time for me, hope it'll be ok
I'll post in an hour or so

@ Cecile I play in FF all the time, I don't have any problems. not sure why you do...

@Cecile, I always use firefox and I never had any problem with the melting-mindz-games. Maybe you should check your firefox version? The actual one is 3.6.14.

I have to thank selfdefiant again for another hour of fun. And thanks to those who posted the clues about the 3- and 4-digit boxes.

Call me greedy but I hardly can wait for the next one.

Fixed the White Gem bug and the orb count at the end. Thanks for all of the nice comments!

@jay-jay, that was epic!!!

oh, um, @Selfdefiant, you didn't do so badly yourself, lol! Thank you for about the millionth time!

thx @zoz you're all so good at these games and at writing WT's, you have all my admiration

since you all do so many WT's I thought you might appreciate that newbies do their bit as well, and let you take well-deserved breaks

thx @s-t for your encouragement earlier when I started this WT, it gave me the drive to do the remainder up to the end

@SD, your games are addictive! I can't wait till the next one.

Wow...what a great way to spend a stormy Pacific North West day! Howling winds, driving rain, and then the sound effects in the game itself! My thanks to self-defiant for another FANTASTIC game, and to jay-jay for the great walkthrough. I was pulling my hair out before I resorted to peeking! I love the sphere...but was disappointed I could no longer make drawings. (I like to x out rooms when I'm done.) That being said, I can't wait for my next s-d fix!

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 7:21 PM

where do i put the gems? this is so confusing

Never did find the map, and when I allowed a blocked pop-up, it restarted the game.

Not a good one.

@Selfdefiant:
Thanks for a really good game. The extra rooms, double orbs, rain & ability to transport were great additions. The four digit code was a bit convoluted, but it keeps us thinking outside the box. Don't quit improvising, and do keep 'em coming!

Wow, a cascade of lovely surprises!
Thank you, Selfdefiant!
This game has a bit of everything!
First surprise of course was finding this new Abandoned game,
then all the new things on top of your more familiar methods [I was pleased to see the "drag-to-find-it" element still present], the pretty filigree keys, candles, codes, clues, and that crystal sphere to "hop" around?
Just brilliant!
I also love the way we get that just as we really need to be walking back through all the rooms! Sneaky to the last! =)
I made this last nearly two and a half hours, so thank you again for setting us these new challenges, which never need guesswork, are always logical and which is why we love them so much =)
I want to name my next grandchild after you, but on second thoughts, maybe "Selfdefiant" isn'nt such a good idea, it could get him/her into trouble, and I don't think the parents would agree to it.
Perhaps I should get a cat?
=)

The crystal ball traveling was a real challenge for me.
Tried 10 different words in English....
5 words in French...5 words in Spanish...
4 words in Dutch....7 words in German...(Just in case selfdefiant speak any of these languages)and NADA.....

Where is the clue????

To Elena, the clue is on that note... look at the letters; some of them are a little bolder than all the others, also, I'll say the letters are an anagram of something; what's another name for the object on the table?
=)
If my hints don't help, scroll up because small-tool says what the word is.

lol @Rookwings! Although I agree that Selfdefiant might not be the best name for a child, I think it would be perfect for a cat!

@Elena, I don't understand your question, but if you can rephrase it I'll try to help!

oh, @Rookwings you beat me to it! I guess we were traveling in the same Sphere, so to speak!

Found the clue!!!!!!!!!!!

E-S-E-P-H-R

Hello, zoz! Nice to see you after all this week [I think], haha.
Thanks for the giggles since we last spoke; I like to keep an eye on you in other games, but recently I've been too late =)
I want to help, too, but also leave something for the stuck gamer to "get" for themselves.

Confidential Word to @jay-jay: You'll most likely see a lot of posts asking questions that were answered clearly in your WT. Don't let it discourage you - it kind of comes with the territory!

Yay, to Elena =) =) =)
and Yay also, to zoz! Nice swerve there, milady =)
Wasn't this a really lovely new game?
He's Superhuman, never mine Selfdefiant, eh!
*whispers* Psst! Do you think he's cloned himself?

I think we could do with an off-topic thread on this site.... so my babble doesn't clog up game threads, for a start
=)

*whispering* @Rookwings, jeez i sure hope he's cloned himself! Maybe there will be enough to go around for all of us? (just wishing :D)

Haha, I'll get to work building a Selfdefiant cloning machine out of toilet roll middles and beer cans right away =)
The world could soon be full of them, like the Smiths from the matrix, haha
You will get first pick!

@zoz how nice of you to say that many thanks I'll keep in mind how previous WT's were so helpful to me & hope this one will do the same thing for other people

@ph1n3a5 great map with lots of useful details pls continue to post

great game thanks SD. Can't wait for the next one:)

Truly an epic... (didn't like the "gear" box clue, the only bit I missed)

Cheers

       Anonymous  3/2/11, 10:06 PM

Wow that was Really Hard, but THANKS SELFDEFIANT YOUR GAMES ROCK!

Morning all! Thanx for the WT Jay-Jay! And thanx for using my map! Glad it helped! Now, lets get back to escaping this evil joint!

Hello! Where is the pipe wrench? Please, I'm stuck...

AND OUT!! What an AWESOME FANTASTIC SUPERB game! And CONGRATS to Jay-Jay for an SUPER walkthrough!!! Whoever solved that SPHERE clue deserves a freaking MEDAL!! LOL! I had to look that one up!

Excellent map there@ph1n3a5!!

Please help!!!! What is the color code for box? I'm so stuck!!!!!

Hi Doris! Did you see the colour code with the word DANGER?

thanx selfdefiant for the game
was a bit hard and different but very interesting

@Risa the blue gem goes in the fourth row 8th room. its kind of tricky to see at first.

If anyone else gets stuck from now on, please check above for Jay-jay's excellent and precise walkthrough [thank you, Jay-jay]. It covers everything you need to know, and is written in short sentences so you won't blunder into a clue you don't want yet.
It even has room "moves", which is brilliant for newcomers to Selfdefiant's fast-growing fanbase.
=)

Good lord that was long and complicated!
I was unable to draw on my map but got thru anyway. Love the crystal orb business!
SD, you mean to say "the pipe needs fixing" not "the pipe needs fixed" sorry darling.

thanks Rachel and Jay-Jay. it's so much easier to number the rooms than say: 3rd row 4th room. i would never had guessed the GEAR code. thanks again.

why doesn't the dial box open? I am trying to use the radio clue

And what is the answer to the riddle on the crystal ball?? I've tried a number of possibles but no No one has really mentioned it Is it that easy????

why doesn't the dial box open? I am trying to use the radio clue
And what is the answer to the riddle in the crystal ball? I have tried several possible answers but no No one has really mentioned it Is it that easy??????

@balmycharmy
for the dial box you may have to invert two numbers; go to walkthrough part 3 at 4:56pm &scroll down until you see the words 3-DIAL CODE in caps

for the riddle, go to walkthrough part 2 at 4:21pm and scroll down until you see the words CRYSTAL BALL in caps

good luck!

where is the walkthrough????

Whew! Out ater over 2 hrs. The 4 digit code had me stumped.
@jay-jay - awesome WT!
@Selfdefiant - thank you! Loved the crystal ball addition (a lot of rooms in this one).

Ditto....annaby!!!

       Anonymous  3/4/11, 12:19 PM

FLABBERGASTED!

What a joy to play. Thank you Self Defiant. You rule! Many blessings to Jay-Jay for the wonderful walk through and Rachel's map. I also really liked ph1n3a5's map - a graphic walk through.

The crystal ball was a wonderful surprise! I was so stuck on the 3 and 4 digit codes. I had to have help. However, I could just kick myself for not noticing the second drawer with the lighter in it.

20 stars from me. :)

@Eberhard
the walkthrough is above,
part 1 at 3:18pm
part 2 at 4.21pm
part three at 4.56 pm
you can't miss it, it's where suddenly there are no names, just a lot of text

@ Rachel, Rookwings, Angie, annaby, nokra, 4red3s (I hope i didn't forget anybody)

thanks guys for your positive comments on the WT, it's really appreciated

This comment has been removed by the author.

Rather than numbering the rooms, I'd suggesting using a letter/number notation (e.g. A2 would be the second room in the first row, C5 would be the 5th room in the 3rd row, etc.).

If you start lettering from the bottom up and start numbering from left to right, then you'll generally begin in A1 or A2.

       Anonymous  3/5/11, 2:59 PM

I think I got out without placing the yellow gem. I'd done all the others and ended up by the exit, so I clicked on it just to see and it said I finished the game.
Great game, I did appreciate the crystal travel too ^^

@Jayjay: many thanx for your excellent walkthrough! Saved me from being stuck in this deserted loony bin forever lol.
