so far a valve and kerosene
can't find a use for the kerosene yet
have a key that I haven't used as well

Ahhhh opened new door with key, now have burning blowtorch
what am I suppose to burn again?
at the emergency exit, you can turn right and you need to code from the office to open the door, key is in there

Found an oildish in the room to the left of the steam hallway
ok, I am obviously not a fire bug, can't burn ANYTHING with my torch!
Finally! some how triggered the door with the blowtorch rather then burn something

I'll stick around a bit if you need a hand. It is pretty straight forward
have valve, kerosene and oildish, and stuck!
I have valve, switch, chain, oil (used) but no key yet.
@papercut, you will find a door that has a rusty bar over it... use the oil can there
the key is near the end of the game
upstairs room (across the "bridge") door opens... just have to click the lock

used oildish on door with wooden lock thing, now have switch and chain; also placed valve.

That was a very easy way to end the day (made me feel smart after a few of the others had me feeling very not so smart) :( Then again, I haven't gotten Ghost Cop to load fully... sigh...

gee that keyed door is hidden well! It is a storeroom to right of the place the steam was.

I can't find where to use switch, I've clicked practically everywhere, and no idea about the door code either...
and these games are between my faves no less...it's so frustrating being stuck...
WALKTHROUGH
-Get VALVE from the box in the sunlight.
-Get in the door left, then go left again, and get the OILDISH.
-Go back at the first room, then upstairs. Get KEROSENE from floor.
-Go at the room at the right (over the bridge) and use oildish on the rusty door. Get in and use valve. Get CHAIN from right and SWITCH from floor.
-Go back at the first view of upstairs. Turn left. There's a door with a panel, use switch there.
-Go downstairs, left,left. Click the yellow box and the road is now open. Go forward. Use chain on the cogs and go forward. Get paper with yellow frame from the middle of the floor (CODE).
-Go upstairs, forward, right. There;s a door with a number panel. Use the code and press enter (on the panel). In the room press the red button and get KEY.
-Downstairs, enter the door left, then use the key at the door at the right at the end of the corridor. Get BLOWLAMP and MATCHES. combine them with kerosene to make blowtorch.
-Go upstairs and forward, at the only unused door (emergency exit). Use the blowtorch on the green/red buttons above, the fire alarm goes on and you can go out.
