ReplyDeleteEnjoy it!
Cool, i am in !
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know Zazie :D
ReplyDeleteHope its a good one. Going in.
ReplyDeleteI have part of rope, another string, a papers, a stone (?) and an axe which keeps stuck whereever i try to use it, lol..
ReplyDeleteLOL @Cool :)
ReplyDeleteWell Claudia,
ReplyDeleteThe first two things are;
I don't like the inventory, but more important I really don't like it when you use something on a wrong place, it sticks on the screen (although you can keep on using it and have more items on the screen).
I'm not liking the way the inventory acts now...
ReplyDeleteUsed axe on one of the wooden boxes and got hint for 6 round dials, door opened and i saw a key but door closed so quickly again that i could not take the key, a bug ?
ReplyDeleteSo where is that damn key after I did the "puzzle at the end of the ship?
ReplyDeleteOkay, gor the ornament to open the door inside the ship.
ReplyDeleteNew room now.
Opened a crate using the axe, used the code on the outside of the ship; saw a key, but where did it go?
ReplyDeleteLOL @zazie you beat me to it! I thought it might be downstairs next to the locked door!!
ReplyDeleteDon´t say that i have to restart again...so many buggy games today :(
ReplyDeleteOk i will restart ONCE !!!
ReplyDeleteCan't find the key, and don't like how the game pauses when you leave it.
ReplyDeleteGrr and again the key disappeared, the second game today i have to quit :(
ReplyDelete@Zazie, that is not a bug.
ReplyDeleteIn to lower room with circle image on door from breaking the pot on top level
ReplyDeleteTurned outside puzzle to match clue and saw something open to show a key but didn't get the key
Cool,
ReplyDeleteDid you find the key somewhere?
Ok Claudia i will see, thx for letting me know:)
ReplyDeleteI agree I don't like the pause screen as it makes reading comments take to long. Also, if you could say what item is in inventory that would be a big help. My key also disappeared. Do I need to restart?
ReplyDeletewhat happened to the key??
ReplyDeleteLavender,
ReplyDeleteI can't break the pot?
I saw the key with the puzzle, like anyone else, but could not take it either.
ReplyDeleteOK, finally in the other room; I thought the brick smashed the pot, but it was wood...
ReplyDelete@lavender how to break pot?
ReplyDeleteGot some sort of cloth, some grey thing, a rope, part of a lamp, a disk, a cannonball and another piece of rope.
ReplyDeleteSolved puzzle and saw key.
Used axe and stick and ornament. That's about it so far.
Break the pot with the board.
ReplyDeleteAnd how do you get wood?
ReplyDeleteI cannot smash the pot, i have lots of bricks on it now.
ReplyDeleteI've fired the canon, but am stuck after that
ReplyDeleteWhat board ? Where ?
ReplyDeleteThe string is actually a fuse. You can take the lantern, as well, but can't light the fuse yet.
ReplyDeleteOh and what are those stupid peices of string (or fuse) for?
ReplyDeleteThe wood is on the deck somewhere ST, can't remember the exact spot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wood clue Seawall. The inventory is so dark I did not see the wood, thought it was an empty space. got 2 things from first room.
ReplyDeleteZazie, you can pick the board up in one of the scenes up top.
ReplyDeleteOk found wood on the deck
ReplyDeleteFinally got the board. It's on mid-deck on the left.
ReplyDeleteOK stick middle of deck. Use it to break the vase!!
ReplyDeleteCant do anything after doing the puzzle thingy on the side of the boat! WHERE DID THE KEY GO?
ReplyDeleteSeawall, I think we need to use the cloth somehow with another item. The cloth is the only thing that actually stays on the screen to combine with something. Have not yet figured out with what to combine.
ReplyDeleteGot to a door where I would need that key :(
Davy, how did you fire the canon? I have the fuse in, but nothing else seems to work.
ReplyDeleteafter firing the canon, there is a key below canon.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else stuck at the point after you fire the cannon?
ReplyDelete@seawall, you need to open the cannon first, then use the cannonball
ReplyDeleteHow do you see if you have a fuse in the canon?
ReplyDeleteI can put my threads there everywhere and they stick.
I have the fuse in too, took the lamp and a plate but nothing works together.
ReplyDeleteAha, thanks Davy. After firing, the key is under the cannon, and you can take it.
ReplyDeleteThx Davy !!!
ReplyDeleteKey under canon wheel !
How do you open the canon?
ReplyDeleteHave gold bar?? after using key!!
ReplyDeleteMy game reloaded on its own when I hit the pause/play button. Not going to restart. Don't like how things stick to screen and I have to back out to try to use them again. Game more frustrating then fun. But good luck to the new developer, I hope these comments have been helpful, and wish you better success in future games.
ReplyDelete@st Put the smaller fuse on it first then it will open. Buggy damn game this. I really hate inventory staying onscreen !!
ReplyDeleteUsed key on box and got something that looks like gold now.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I thought the gold bar was another board.
ReplyDeleteWhere to use the gold bar ? It keeps stuck everywhere...
ReplyDelete@Leroy, I thought it was a golf piece of wood lol
ReplyDelete@s-t thing that looks like a nipple
me too!!
ReplyDeleteI now think that the puzzle just opened the hatch for the cannon to show where the key was???
ReplyDeleteAlice, make sure you didn't git the link to their website; I did that, but I still had the game opened in the original tab.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leroy,
ReplyDeleteBut I had to go out and in the room again before the canon would open.
Don't like this game.
How do you open the cannon?
ReplyDelete@Cool, I think you're right about the hatch.
ReplyDeletelavender, click on the very end of it a couple times; it should open.
ReplyDeletea am rapidly losing patience with this game!
ReplyDeleteStill no clue where to use gold bar,
ReplyDeletelavender, click the lower part of the lid.
Did anyone figure out what to do with what looks like a bee hive at the far right side of the ship?
ReplyDeleteI think that and the door that won't open are the only two places left to do something?
@Cool that was where the axe was so prob means nothing? Maybe? Maybe not??
ReplyDelete& Zazie & Seawall ... THANK YOU! :)
ReplyDeleteCool,
ReplyDeleteI thought we found something there (on the far right with the bee hive like thing).
Anyway, gonna try for five more minutes and then I quit. The stuff sticking on the screen and the pause screen everytime is really annoying.
Oh yes Leroy, you are right.
ReplyDeleteThat leaves the door.
Wonder what the dish is for?
ReplyDeleteI am throwing in the towel.. this is torture!
ReplyDeleteFired Cannon, got key, opend chest to get "gold board"?? what next?
ReplyDeleteI think we needed the key for the locked door. Gonna restart and see if I can grab key real fast before it disappears lol
ReplyDeleteI have a hungry husband who might get dangerous if he does not get food soon. Will check in later to see if anything happened here.
ReplyDelete@Cool, I agree - the inventory items sticking on the screen is just about inexcusable. And that pause is sooooo annoying.
ReplyDeleteOhh, I bet the game now hinges on the key we couldn't get from solving the puzzle at the end of the boat.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the paper for. You can zoom in on it when you click it in the inventory. I've tried to put everything on it but nothing works.
ReplyDeleteMona - not a bug with the key; the key is revealed after the cannon is fired.
ReplyDeleteI just put lots of plates on the table lol.
ReplyDeleteargh! too slow to grab key. But u may be right Seawall, it may be the same key that is under cannon wheel. Oh well back to the drawing board.
ReplyDelete- Don't like the inventory system. Having to cycle through the items. Some items were too dark and didn't realize I had them.
ReplyDelete- Inventory Items need a description
- Hate the fact that items stick to the screen. I had cannon balls all over that cannon before i figured out how to properly load the cannon
- Don't like the pause when switching screens to read comments.
Well I quit, this game is no fun at all.
ReplyDeleteI like to try things on games when I got stuck, but in this game you don't know if an item is on it's place or just sticks on the screen.
Anyway Claudia,
You wanted comments, well you've got a lot of them. But the most important things are;
- The pause screen is a real bad idea.
- Things sticking on the screen is the worst of all
- Not able to see all your item in the inventory is bad.
- Not having names for the things in your inventory is bad because some things you don't know what they are.
well i'm clicking on the solution. I can't finish this game, and it's getting close to lunch.
ReplyDeleteand there is no solution...*sigh*
ReplyDeleteI'll keep this open for a while to see if anyone finds anything - but right now there is apparently no clues to any type of solution.
ReplyDeletestill live! cool... Did everything and now stuck with paper, gold bar, thread from rope, a bowl and a lamp...
ReplyDeleteopen the canon a second time and use the bowl and the "grey brick" to get some powder. put it on the paper and tie it up with the other string.
ReplyDeleteput those in the door upstairs and light it to blow it open. second gold key in right side porthole.
@Davy Baby
ReplyDeletesolution is spanish or portugese and even they look stuck! 4 comments only LOL
Out--Open up the cannon again and put the plate there. Then put the small flint/stone there. Pick it up and then open the paper and put in the contents from the bowl then tie the string on it. Put it in the other door and light it. Easy from there.
ReplyDeletea bit confusing but I am out!

ReplyDeletethe dish*
ReplyDeleteGood find evans !
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, Evans! Thanks. I had opened the canon a second time, but didn't make your discovery! Off to try.
ReplyDeleteAnd thx michael !
ReplyDeleteExpletive deleted!! Wot door upstairs!! Next to the vase?
ReplyDeleteGold goes on the chest and out !
ReplyDeleteJust a minute too late!
ReplyDeleteleroy the door in front of you when you enter the ship.
ReplyDeleteOut...I opened the cannon a second time and put the bowl there, just couldn't figure out how to combine the stuff..Thanks! The way you had to combine the stuff was confusing.
ReplyDeleteGold goes on the chest? Where is the chest?
ReplyDeleteThe game still sucks!! You have to be exact in putting the bomb on the keyhole!! Not to mention all the other issues. Definitely needs polish!!!
ReplyDelete@mona If you have got into the room after the cannon look in the right porthole for a key.
ReplyDeletelol nevermind, i found key, opened door and found chest. finally out, much thanks
ReplyDeleteI had to place the bowl in the cannon...The flint stone (if that is what it is) would not work with the bowl..I had to open the paper in the inventory, put the flint stone on the paper, I could see the flint stone then doing something with the bowl. I then put the paper back into inventory, picked up the bowl, brought the paper back out, put bowl on paper then it finally worked.
ReplyDeletewell this could have been better the best thing is the graphics, mostly everything else could (and should) be improved
ReplyDeleteI guess solving the puzzle at the end of the ship opens the portal so you can get the key in that last room. I like the idea..not the execution. The way it was done makes the player think they missed something. I should have shown the room with the portal door opening so the player will realize that it opened something in another room..not right there.
ReplyDeleteIf you put something in the wrong place and it gets stuck on the screen, pick it up again from the inventory and 'wave' it over the stuck one. Works like an eraser. Just rememeber to put it down in the inventory or you'll have another one stuck. lol
ReplyDeleteWhy does the stupid door close so you can't take the key? What a tease!
ReplyDeletePoor Claudia. The internet can be a harsh critic!
ReplyDeletehave several things in my inventory but can't seem to do much with them :(
ReplyDelete@Jennifer what do you have? Will hang around to help if you want...
ReplyDeletehave the paper clue for door that slammed shut, a bowl/plate, cannon ball, 2 things that look like clothes, a lantern and a string.
ReplyDeleteok just put the string in the cannon as a fuse, but it doesn't light
ReplyDeleteI think the new developer could use a lil help on their games but all in all a good one. the only annoyance is the stuck item's. Can live with the scrolling of inventory...dont wanna seem to lazy to scroll...:)
ReplyDeletegot the end of cannon open and put cannon ball in. lit the fuse, seems I'm finally getting somewhere. Still don't know how to get the key out of that door that shut though.
ReplyDeleteopen the back of the cannon and put in a cannon ball, shut the cannon door and then it will light.
ReplyDeleteOK go to the cannon! Click somewhere around lower end of cannon to open it. Keep clicking as it is damn picky!!! Then cannonball in, close it and use (darker string I think) on bump top of cannon just left of the back of the cannon. Keep clicking til it happens!! Then light it with the lantern.
ReplyDeleteYou get that key in the last room. Don't worry about it now.
ReplyDeleteI shot the cannon but I'm not sure what it did :(
ReplyDeleteFollow by opening cannon again, put bowl in opening and then use that dark grey block on the bowl. Take bowl and then open the white thing. Put bowl on white thing and then use other piece of string to tie it up.
ReplyDeleteThen go to the other locked door and put the tied bag on the keyhole and light it!!
Also gold key under the fired cannon opens the small chest to the right.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leroy. Yeah I found the key and got a board. Which again I can't find use for lol I am in the locked room now, but don't know what to do in there.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteLook in the right porthole and that should solve all your problems. LOL
ReplyDelete@Dorthe Top middle left of screen you will see a small dark blue box. Click it.
ReplyDelete(Above all the other games....)
I have to agree with small-tool's comments @ 10:04 relating to game play. I gave up too.
ReplyDeleteGames like these aren't supposed to be this much of a hassle.
That being said, it's an infinitly better game than any I have ever made! I just play them. Here's to hoping for improvement in the developers next effort. This game is already better than some but not as good as others. Just a matter of style...
Thanks Evans. Came back to see what happened and from that point on (after getting the gun powder from the cannon) it was easy.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with all the other comments.
Having descriptions on the items in the inventory would have helped a lot. The one "rope" being a fuse, the grey rhing being a brush ... those hints would have made it more clear.
Apart from the already mentioned issues I think the game in itself was nice. Once you know what things are there is logic in it.
Other than the objects sticking every where not so bad for a first effort. The inventory was mildly annoying but not a show stopper. The pause thing didn't bother me much.
ReplyDeletei don't wanna give such a harsh critic... everybody have to earn a second chance... and we are playing this games for free... developing a game is not done in a few minutes...
ReplyDeletethe game itself with the ideas of the quests is not bad...
but i agree with the critics, that are already written... if this is the developers first game, he can use this information for making it better the next time...
its better to give motivation than making somebody feel he's bungling...
I agree with you Sabine.
ReplyDeleteThe game looks good, feels good and there's logic in it, once you understand what the items actually are.
I don't think anyone had the intention to be harsh, but there are a few things that can be improved to make the game a lot better.
@game developer. This has nothing to do with this game but some of us have older computers that don't do well will a lot of animation like gamestorule, or gazzyboy games, which really slow down the game.So please don't add a lot of animations. The reason we all like selfdefiant games so much is because they are Logical, Bug free, they have a nice tempo or flow to them. Go check out his latest one Bomb Shelter escape on games2play, as it is a good guide line. Maybe Claudia you should hire him as a consultant to check out the games before you post them cause he sure has his gamming act together. Just a thought.
ReplyDelete@ Claudia - i thought it was a great game! the only mildly irritating thing was that the items stuck... but you've had enough bitching about that :) it was completely obvious to me at the beginning with the rectangle puzzle that the key was being revealed in some other part of the ship that i didn't have access to yet and i thought it was a really nice touch. The only place where i got well and truly stuck was with needing to open the canon a second time and get the powder... had to come into the comments to get a hint. I LOVED that the second door didn't have a key but you had to blow it open... it was unexpected and original... very nice indeed, thank you!
ReplyDeleteAdditionally to the other comments I found a bug in the game. In the room with the cannon I opened the paper/cloth (like an "About Item") and tried to use the bowl on it. But instead of doing something on the paper or just going back to the inventory, the bowl took place at the opening of the cannon in the back. It was now at the correct place but for me it was very irritating because I didn't recognize that immediately. When I use something on an item, it should not be allowed to do something in the background.
ReplyDeleteBut thanks to Claudia and the game developer for your efforts in giving us good games. I look forward to your next :)
I managed this without help, and was very surprised to see that it's from a new developer!
ReplyDeleteI was also shocked at all the negative comments. These are much the same people that persist in struggling with gazzyboy games, etc.
I enjoyed the realistic gameplay, with no pixel-hunting, and I was never confused that the "key reveal" was showing another scene. With the porthole, it was easy to recognise as the second key.
The ideas were great, the logic lovely, and the only real fault - the used things sticking everywhere was frankly very funny =D
This was indeed logical, almost bug-free, and had the nice flow that alice needed.
I have a very old and slow computer, but you learn to be patient. I enjoyed playing this a lot, thank you, Claudia.
I'd love to play more games from this developer; please tell him congratulations from me =)
I pulled a bunch of empty plates out of the cannon and put them into my inventory. Next thing I know my inventory has a bunch of plates in it.
ReplyDeleteI think that the game was terrific. I just got stumped because some of the items in my inventory weren't visible;tooo dark, and because they weren't labeled as well, it was difficult to figure out how to use them.. But the game was really, really well designed. Had the the gray square been labeled, then I would have come to the conclusion that it was for gunpowder. I had to look at hints for that part. great game! Thx!
ReplyDeleteI had no chance to play yesterday so either I am the lucky one with no bugs trouble or items sticking, or the game, which was quick and easy, has been fixed.

nice that the buggy inventory was fixed since that seemed to be a problem for earlier players. I also didn't have the game pause when I had to read the comments, so I think that was fixed, too.
ReplyDeleteIf so, very well done game-maker! Thank you.
the game was nice and logical except for wondering what some of the inventory items were. good job
I agree with a lot of the comments, inventory is bad, not knowing what the things are that you pick up. And if you are going to go thought the trouble to make an explosive charge to open a door, why don't you use it on the door with the gold instead of the door that gets you a key to open the door that has the gold????/
ReplyDeleteJust played, only part that was less than satisfactory was filling the paper with gunpowder and tying it up. I never saw it happen, the paper just turned into a bag after I grabbed the plate a few more times. :)
ReplyDeleteI knew the key part was a reveal, and it was sneaky that we had to use the cannon twice.
It was fun - thanks!
got stuck at one pont and the walkthrough helped but i got the rest on my own cool game
ReplyDeleteDead link (suits a misspelled game name).
