See the picture up the top of this page...that is the flash light. "About item" the top l/h question mark and click continually on it. After a while it will start to make a noise and will appear. It's a wind-up torch.

Thanks Martin.. I don't know if it makes a difference but I finally did it after clicking in the middle of the "about item" box (a bit to the right of the middle part of the question mark. What an annoying game...
Just tried to do it again...open it in the "About item' and use the tab key to see a small rectangle to the right of the "?"...click there.
ok, I have a lamp (unlit), 3 batteries, a pair of scissors and I can see but cannot reach a blue key. And I'm stuck...

The lamp needs 4 batteries. You can read the L/R button clue after you have the lamp on and the room lit up.

Combining batteries with TV gives Blue pentagon, Red decagon, Green Circle and Yellow heptagon, but can't figure out exit code. Also have green number 8 from laptop, blue number 3 from nail remover and orance 0 from sofa?
turn the generator one time from left to see the plug outlet...click oute the cable from the wall plug (if it is in)...choose the blue generator left and click the end of the cable (plug-tv view)

I am at the point where i turned off the tv by pressing on on laptop and i have the four colour-shapes hint...
I only have the triangle number and the polygon (from unpluging the plug from generator and conecting tha laptop)...Does anybody have a number in circle right to couch?

@Varvara, no I meant the green numbers that where behind the picture. BTW, if you look at them with the lamp off, some of them glow, but I don't see how that relates to anything I have so far.
I don't know where the generator is, I haven't yet opened the rightmost cupboard door under the TV, and I still have clues I don't understand (the 0 in a circle beside the sofa and the 3 in a triangle on that nail-removing tool). Very frustrating game...

I have turned the generator to view the plug in side, then clicked like crazy and am still unable to connect it!!!!!!!!!! So frustrating
@Anne tjhe green numbers with the lamp off are the clue to the slider puzzle. It tells you what the numbers have to add up to.
@Varvara I need the cable pixel!! And yes I did turn the generator with no result!!
@anne it s the solution to the sliding puzzle... u have to place the number so they sum up as the numbers at wall tell you
Don't know if this is important but after removing TV picture from wall you can pick it up from behind sofa. Click on it at the edge and you see a picture of the blue generator on the back. Then click on the generator and I got a weird stick man. Then I was able to connect to wall socket.
My clicking finger is very tired looking for the cable to generator pixel !! Can anyone shed some more light on how to connect it? TY Varvara for your help, but I still don't get it.
for the generATOr if i remember it right first i clicked the generator (to the left also) then the plug and then the side (the plug of the cable) and it went on..

NVM I forgot to unlock the right sight of tv cabinet.
Cut the wires in the cabinet.
Now you can get the blue key.
Use the blue key on the blue little box next to sofa for nail remover tool.
Use the nail remover tool on poster above sofa.

take out the batteries and have a look, and then combine with the TV hint

If You Really Enjoy Torture And Frustration, Play This Game –Through
I want to emphasize that I did not figure this out on my own!
The following is just a compilation of comments to help any poor soul who comes along and innocently tries to play this game.
To get past the dark screen:
@Shuchun - check the top left items --click and click and click the item under the [about item] situation. and finally got the flashlight

Just tried to do it again...open it in the "About item' and use the tab key to see a small rectangle to the right of the "?"...click there.
Once the flashlight is fully charged, you get a Green Battery when you take the flashlight.
Now to find three more batteries and a lamp:
You can see a table in this first view. Click the yellow “down” arrow.
Now there is a TV on a cupboard. Click just to the left of the TV on the cupboard, NOT on the floor), and find a Red Battery beside it.
Click on the plant beside the TV, then click on the mark on the soil for the Purple Battery.
Still in this view, click the right side of the planter and see “The key is in France” written on the side.
Go right, and take the Lantern from the shelf.
Go right again and click beneath the sofa to get the Scissors.
Go right to the scene with a low cupboard and a computer. Zoom on the left cupboard door and enter the colors of the French flag (Blue, White, and Red).
Open the right cupboard door and take the Yellow Battery.
About Item the Lantern, then click just below it and put all four batteries in. Then turn it upright and click the switch.
Eureka, there is light!
Now have a look at the grey square on top of the cupboard: it is a hint for the red box behind the left cupboard door. Press the left and right buttons on the box according to the hint. (L button 3 times, etc.)
Take the Red Key.
Go right and unlock BOTH sides of the cupboard below the TV. Behind the right door is a Blue Generator, but it must be charged before it will work.
Open the left door and click on the black area on the back, then cut the white lower wire with the Scissors.
Now you can take the Blue Key that is behind the cupboard, left view.
Go back to the Orange Sofa and use the Blue Key to unlock the Blue Box. You will get a Nail Remover with a triangle and a 3 on it.
Use the Nail Remover to take the TV poster from the wall.
Now turn off the Lantern and look at the clue – a grid with 4, 10, and 8 across the top and 6, 7, and 9 down the left side. This is a clue for the Yellow Box slider puzzle beside the door.
Turn the lamp back on, and look to the right and behind the sofa to take the TV Picture. You will also see another clue – a circle with a zero in it.
About Item the TV Picture and click just to the right to turn it around. There is a diagram of the Blue Generator.
Once you’ve seen this, you can About Item the Blue Generator and click on it to get two choices. Choose the Red Circle on the left and a little green man will charge the generator! (I don’t think anyone would have gotten this without @Kernowman stepping in!).
Now, click to the left of the generator and you’ll have an end view with a plug socket. Now to find the cable and plug!
Go to the Yellow Box on the shelf beside the door. You can move each white tile by clicking on it when there is a space next to it. The clue from the wall behind the TV Picture means that the SUM of each column must be (left to right) 4, 10 and 8 and the SUM of each row (top to bottom) must be 6, 7, and 9.

Now take the cable and click on the computer to attach it. Then, go right to the scene with the plug and follow these instructions:
@Varvara: turn the generator one time from left to see the plug outlet...click oute the cable from the wall plug (if it is in)...choose the blue generator left and click the end of the cable (plug-tv view)
Now the generator is charged and plugged in!
Go back and click on the computer, then click on the Green Button on the upper left and choose the Red Circle option.
Go back to the TV and find that it is turned on now.
Unplug the computer and put the plug in the wall socket. Go back and look on the computer screen to see a Green Octagon with an 8 in it.
Back to the TV. Turn off the Lamp and remove the (don’t worry, the lights stay on now).
About Item the batteries and look at the shape on each one. Combine this shape with the matching color on the TV and you should have Blue Pentagon, Red Octagon, Green Circle, and Yellow Septagon. So, going along with the clues for Circle = 0, Octagon = 8, Triangle = 3, we can interpret the TV code as 5807.
Go and enter this in the keypad beside the door, and
Hallelujah! Out!

Yes, it was a bit funky to get rolling in this one, but you have to admit that this game was a little different and a challenge too, but still some fun was had in the end.
At least it wasn't a boring, same old-same old, by the numbers game.
Like playing baseball, we have to be aware that the "changeup" pitch will be along sooner or later...

@ Tijana - If you're still around, here is what worked for me.
Start, see black screen.
Cursor 2/3 down from top and 2/3 away from left side.
Click around this area to get ? in top left inventory spot.
Highlight ? and select "About Item" to see large red ? onscreen.
Under X box, go approx. 1/2 way down and go left until almost touching the right side of the ?, then start clicking for a rapid clicking sound (sounds like a radiation detector) indicating that the hand cranked flashlight is winding up.
Finally I escaped.
