ok finally found that oar, now on the other side of river
@Jo.C: oar is left middle of scene
use "boat" to get on the other side of river to get knive and rocks :P

stick is in the bushes on the right side of the river at the base of a palm tree. I am stuck.
do we use knife to get that stick??
I just startet new game to look where stick is
Stick:
Cross the river, click on verry right palm tree, go back - then you will found knife under palm tree and the stick above in the grass
STICK: is in the bushes behind the last palm tree, on the other side. counting the 4 trees from the top of the screen - hope this helps

Build a trap with stick, net, stones and fish
Poor dog felt in trap and I got the hook
2 stones, net, bag, stick, fish piece (divided by knife), rope - and stuck!
Tried to get the hook / bone in front of the dog, but no go.
Used rope with hook to get a lot of leaves
and where to build the trap?

i got that fish easy but where is the net ?!
Anja: How to bring them together? Can't open them in a "about-item-view" (but rope does)

@Katharina: Have you found the stones near river near the big rocks? You need 5 stones - 4 for the trap

Put leaves in bag, used last stone in middle of tree, got the bag from man and got the key!!!

For trap:
Use stick on ground in scene with the 3 roots. Put net on the hole, 4 stones and the grass. Then put the fish on net and ground
Hello @miles1 - have the same prob like u, i have everything needed to set a trap but couldn't find the place to build it, i think its start with rope.

@Anja (Stu) - i think there's buy in this game cause i find it hard to get things even i know the item or place to do it, seems like it just won't allow me to do anything.

Ah - cut the grass with the knife in front of palm tree right river side. Now trying to build the trap.

I've been trying to put the stick in the ground where the 3 hanging roots are but I guess I can't find the exact spot for it

Stones: under very right tree, one next to upper right tree, one after using knife in same scene, two near river near big stones

Couldn't post for a long time, blogger didn't work for me. Made the trap (thx for the last stone hint!), combined rope and hook - and then it disappeared!
Have to go now, my family wants to have ice and coffee, GL for all!
I just can't put fish pieces on the trap... I hate this pixel hunt... Drives me crazy :( After trying for 10minutes, I've only manged to put 2 fish pieces hurray :(
@gazzyboy: Game was buggy for me, screen froze two times and I had to restart (and to go through these annoying start screens). Walkthrough/Help-button is much too close to the parrot/back-button, I managed it several times by accident to open the help window - back to EG24, lol. And, generally, it's a big pixelhunt. For example if you don't know exactly where to use the stick for the trap you can search for ages. And please make the inventory items a little bit bigger - or give us a magnifier. 1 star for that plus 1 star for the good animations. Loved how the leaves went into the bag.
Finally, I trapped the dog. But now I can't find the place where to use rope with hook... This game makes me sad.
drinkmilk, use the hook/rope in the trap view at the branch - and pull it...
