If there is any place I can get water from that would be helpfull. My jug and both fountains are empty.

marita: hammer is in a yellow chest after you find 3 gears (cogs). move two white blocks by clicking on them. you have to find a wrench (spanner) in a yellow chest to get the cog off the wooden beam

To get hammer:
enter room using 3 gears. move blocks over spots on floor. move lever. open chest.
screwdriver is in top row, third room from the left.
WOW - out! Really happy fo find a SD in a SD-game, wouldn't be perfect without it.

Marita, der Schraubenschlüssel (wrench) ist in einer Kiste (chest), um sie zu öffnen, brauchst Du den Hinweis mit dem Kreis aus Kreisen, fahre mit der Maus drüber, wenn der Mauszeiger zur Hand wird, ist der Kreis grün markiert, die musst Du an der Kiste anklicken.

I think Marita is looking for the third gear according to the translation of zahnrad. I'm trying to remember where they all were!
Four bars on left pillar in room top row second from left?? I have water in my 1st fountain now, but I'm not sure what good that does. Maybe I need the 3rd gem first?

Ah, Marita had found the one on the timber, Katharina told her how to get the wrench to free it.
Katie - set those bars like the four shrubs to the right of it.
Katie - you will be finding a green jug that you fill with water.
Use the four bushes in the room to the right of the four bars on the pillar. The bushes are the hint for how the bars go:

Marita: das sind 4 Positionen bzw. Längen, die kürzeste 1, die längste 4, dann gehe der Reihe nach durch. Ganz nach rechts entspricht dann der höchsten, also 4.

Dan, you should be able to go into a room to place them on a pillar. Use the sun, water, earth clue to place them; top to bottom.

Ich finde Dein Englisch nicht immer so ganz verständlich, aber meine Muttersprache ist ja auch deutsch.
@Dan: If I remember right, you have to fill the 2nd fountain with warer from the 1st fountain befor you can open the room where to place the gems.

No, I don't translate usually, only for Marita some English comments or so. This refers of our former method of learning English, we had to learn vocabulary by English sentences, or pictures or so, no German vocabularies were allowed. Therefore we were used thinking in English at last.

Secret Passway Walkthrough
(All solutions at the end)
First: look at door in front of you, go right and see a puzzle in the same shape as clue and you can change the #'s. Change the #'s according to the clue. Go left.
Now the Passway is open...but first let us see what is at the left...Go left.
Notice a growing vine and a water fountain.
Go right and through the passway, click dark brick for a map, click lever, back out and left to find a key in the fountain.
Go right, through passway, click lever again to turn water back on. Use key to open second Passway and go through.
Go left 3 times and click bush to reveal a lever, click it. Go right and see it lowered the beam with the gear...we want that gear and need something to remove it.
Go right 5 times and click keyhole. See a puzzle to solve to open the door.
Go right and click lever. Click gears to move them so you can take the one in the middle. Note colored numerals on pillar. Go left all the way and look at colors positions. (g-3 y-6 r-9) Go right 6 times and put dots in correct position and click button beneath to open passway. Enter to find a chest with a clock like puzzle.
Go right twice and click lever, hover the mouse over the clock face buttons to see which ones to highlight on chest. Go left to chest and open for a wrench. Go right and click the 2,3,and 4th levers for a gear.(sorry, I brute forced it and still do not know the clue...thought it may be flowers on the bushes in previous room...but???)
Go left, back, left 5 times, use wrench on gear. Go right and place the gears and click lever to open passway. Enter, click each block 3 times and click lever for a hammer, back out.
Go right twice, use hammer in crack for a new passway, click all ropes for a key.
Back and left 4 times, use key, enter passway. Find SD right of pillar, note height of bushes. Go left and click the left pillar according to bushes for an empty jug.
Go left and click lever, go right twice and back, right 3 times and back twice and right. Use SD on vent for a Green gem!
Go left twice and use jug on fountain. Go right, forward twice, right 3 times, forward, right twice...use hammer on block for Yellow gem!
Go left twice, back, left 6 times, forward, left twice...put water in fountain for Blue gem!
Go right twice, back, right 5 times, look at wall for order of gems!
Go left twice and through final passway under mirror...place gems...
and you are out...and very wealthy!!!!
SOLUTIONS:
Cross puzzle...top/III right/V bottom/VI left/IV
Keyhole puzzle..I-y-bottom II-r-left III-g-right
Chest puzzle lock...highlight 3,5,8,10 O'clock spots on dial
Bushes L to R = pillar top to bottom...so...push the top 2 times, next one 1 time and 3rd one 3 times...bottom none!
Order of gems...sun/yellow, water/blue, land/green

I'm still here, and all admiration, aitch! I have to go and look to find out how to get water in my fountain. And I was doing SO well LOL.
