ReplyDeleteHello Edgar!
ReplyDeleteA new riddle yay!
lvl 2..
ReplyDeletecountry gives an egg in lvl 2...
ReplyDeleteYay, a new riddle, thanks Cleo and Faltu.
ReplyDeleteHi Edgar and Nini, trying to translate the egg page on level 2...
found it as well .
ReplyDeleteBrb!
I suppose that level 3 is Leet Speak but it doesn't make sense.
ReplyDeleteTried LEET too, Pascale, but got giberrish. Trying a Maori translator or dictionary now.
ReplyDeleteThe bad news is that I think this is still level 2...
Hi Rambler and Nini!
Oh, I hoped that the squid was level 2, but I'm affraid that you are right, Edgar !
ReplyDeleteSome of them are body parts, but can't tell the same for the last two "words"
ReplyDeleteI thought the leet translation would be part of The Haka, but that doesn't work..
ReplyDeleteBack! Hey.. do any of u know what 7 translates to in text? like- 4=A
ReplyDeleteShould be T, nini. PH has a converter.
ReplyDeleteIt looks a little like a part of the famous All Blacks' haka :
ReplyDelete"Ringa pakia !
Uma tiraha !
Turi whatia !
Hope whai ake ! [...]"
uh thx! :)
ReplyDeleteSolved level 2.
ReplyDeleteAs the hint say, no need of translation. Just use the initials of the first 5 words. The last 2 say "add ER"
and anagram.
@Pascale, they were my thoughts too!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we have to add "er" at the end (...poho-pakehu-add-er)
ReplyDelete@Edgar, thanks, got it now. Onto 3...
ReplyDelete@Edgar : bravo ! bravo ! Thanks a lot !
ReplyDeleteEdgar! I've already tried that!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! Had a typo! -_-
ReplyDeleteThe next level is related to diving and pressure problems...
ReplyDeleteLost in 3...
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteLevel 3 is very easy : google dcs + diving, you'll find the name of the sickness...
ReplyDeleteGot an egg on 3, name the full acronym...
ReplyDeletegot the egg!
ReplyDeleteRambler u were faster! xD
ReplyDeleteAnd onto 4 :o)
ReplyDeleteon the egg now...
ReplyDeletelvl 4 !
ReplyDeleteThanks Nini, this is fun :o)
ReplyDeleteI thought that the answer of the next level was the same as the title of a famous James Cameron's movie, but no luck.
ReplyDeleteOn 4 with you now!
ReplyDeleteGot egg for 4
ReplyDeleteReading the WIKI page about Challenger now...
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete2nd egg now! OMG
ReplyDeletelvl 5!
ReplyDeleteThat gave me another egg in 4. Thanks nini.
ReplyDelete@Nini, thanks, gonna look at it now...
ReplyDelete"name the deepest place we can go in the ocean" ?
ReplyDeleteIn French it is « la fosse des Mariannes », but in English, I don't know the name of this place.
Well, the answer is NOT Marianas Trench.
ReplyDeleteEhm, I need the first letters of the 5 zones...
ReplyDelete@Pascale, IT IS! So, you better delete that straight answer, lol!
ReplyDeleteOh Pascele, just remove that letter 's'
ReplyDeletePascale first name w/out final s.
ReplyDeleteYep, onto 5 too. Thanks Nini...
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Edgar & Nini !
ReplyDeletePhew! Finally on level 5.
ReplyDeleteLost in 5.. Tried converting but.. nada
ReplyDeleteThere's a bit of text under the pic on 5. Trying to use that to make some sense of it..
ReplyDeleteI find nowhere the total length of hemp rope that they stocked...
ReplyDelete@Pascale, look at Nini's post of 11.33
ReplyDeleteHere http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Nares they say 181 miles, but the answer in not 181 nor 181miles.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting words that seems Russian.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rambler... but I'm still stuck on level 4.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Pascale, try here
ReplyDeletehttp://www.wired.com/wired/archive/12.12/dive.html
FALKTPY PRUCALVOT NHFSAOH VO TRLHBV??
ReplyDeleteLOL!
Thank you Nini, but how did you find it ? It is not the answer given by Wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenger_Expedition "In all she was supplied with 181 miles (291 km) of Italian hemp for sounding, trawling and dredging."
ReplyDeleteOh Nini, I think you should delete that, Cleo will be mad!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, self moderation :o)
ReplyDeleteThank you Rambler. This is different from Wikipedia /-:
ReplyDelete@Pascale, it's not the first time different sites show different information. I've seen it before, and yes, it's a pain in the butt.
ReplyDeletebtw, where's Clee? Maybe it's time for a little push?
ReplyDeleteLol Nini, where did FALKTPY.... etc come from?
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with the "egg", too. Isn't the answer "anoplogastercornuta" ?
ReplyDeleteOh, I got it. Look at your keyboards!
ReplyDelete@Pascale, I tineyed the pic. The answer is one word only.
ReplyDeleteOK, this is one of the common english names of the fish.
ReplyDeleteHi guys,
ReplyDeleteI'm in, but stuck on the 5 ocean layers.
Don't get an anagram?
I think you're right Edgar. Come on Cleo/Clee/Carole, show yourself lol
ReplyDelete@st, no anagram required, just go from shallow to deep. It's a non-word...
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteNvm. It wasn't an anagram.
ReplyDelete@Edgar, thanks, working on it now....
ReplyDeleteHave the egg in level 5.
ReplyDeleteLol, have no idea why I'm looking at my keyboard for level 5?
ReplyDeleteStill don't get it.
ReplyDeleteDumb day today :S
ReplyDeleteNvm. saw the little hidden letters.
ReplyDeleteHello riddlers
ReplyDeletewhat can I help with?
For level 5:
ReplyDeleteThe page says p=a
in your keyboards: q=w; w=e; e=r and so on...
right is first, remember?
Sorry, Pascale, you need a qwerty KB for this one...
hi Clee!!! Level 5 gave us a bit of trouble but solved now. Stick around in case please?
ReplyDeletelol! Thx! Was doing something completelly different.
ReplyDeleteHi Clee, great riddle so far :o)
ReplyDeleteWe were a little stuck on 5 but Edgar has found a way forward, although I'm still working on it...
This comment has been removed by the author.

ReplyDelete@s-t, just answer the question.
ReplyDeleteit isn't Marsili?? o.O
ReplyDeleteHehe Got it

ReplyDeletehttp://science.jrank.org/pages/48252/volcanoes-volcanic-rocks.html
Gotto go for a while.

ReplyDeleteThanks Edgar, got it.
ReplyDeleteUhh It's a scene from Dynamite Warrior (chinese movie)
ReplyDeleteAnd got the Egg!
ReplyDeletelevel 6
ReplyDeleteall the words are missing something collect them
( the pic if you know what it is , a movie with the word you need)
Lol Nini,
ReplyDeleteI think it's a dynamite warrior.
lvl 7 :)
ReplyDeleteWow Nini, you're so fast. I only got 2 letters so far and still looking for the others.
ReplyDeleteRussian text on 7 translate to numbers ( I guess)
ReplyDeleteBut "numbers" rhimes w/ slumbers :P is not the answer.
Will delete this;
ReplyDeleteBut do I have the right letters on level 6?
I have
NDISEEPA
you need to make a word with the numbers ( it's a name )
ReplyDeleteThank you again Edgar ! Another problem of keyboard ! )))-:
ReplyDeletes-t lvl 6 just write 1st name of the movie than combine this name and pic (from egg)
ReplyDeleteST what was the name of that movie? you need part of that lol
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a phrase yaay
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm on the egg now, but still don't understand what the missing letters were for?
ReplyDeletethe missing letters spell that word you needed but if you knew the pic it was faster lol
ReplyDeletegot everything but "when" 17/100??
ReplyDeleteAnd on level 7 now.
ReplyDelete1700? lol
ReplyDeleteAh I see Clee, but I think there was a little mistake then because hexamethylenttramine was missing two E's.
ReplyDeletewiki has what you need Nini xD on the man look up the death part on his story
ReplyDeleteNini,
ReplyDeleteHow did you translate the Russian numbers?
Babel Fish isn't helping me.
Nvm. have to do every single word.
ReplyDeletehere s-t:
ReplyDeletehttp://russian.speak7.com/russian_numbers.htm
Clee still can't find it. Have tried lots of names and nada.
On wiki the name that got you to the egg look up * Death and legacy* the word is in that short story starts with F
ReplyDeletelvl 8 OMG! But it's not really a "who" is a "where"
ReplyDeleteCan't find a working name either?
ReplyDeleteAh didn't refresh.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm not looking for a person?
But the first word was 'who', right?
Awaw guess I'll give this a break. Will play the newest hillgreed one :)
ReplyDeleteso you got past 7b? on 8 the capital you want had the Olympic games one year ;)
ReplyDeleteI give up too (for now I think).
ReplyDeleteReally can't find the owner on level 7.
Back (but not long).
ReplyDeleteFinally found the guy on 7.
Did 7b, 8 and 8a, but can't find the egg after 8a. I'm pretty sure I know who this guy is, but none of his names work as answer!?
Btw 8 is misleading, it's not a capital at all, but just a big city.
And pop, it was his nickname. On 9 now.
ReplyDeleteFor level 9, don't forget 'the' in the answer.
ReplyDeleteOn 9a I have all the letters, but can't get an anagram?
ReplyDeleteHi s-t I'm back. Can't find city for lvl 8. Tried everything!
ReplyDeleteNini,
ReplyDeleteIt's a big city close by, starting with Inn
OMG finnally! thx.
ReplyDeleteCan't find 8a either I searched number+ phone and got area code (USA)
ReplyDeleteIf I search separetelly I get area codes in andorra and texas xD
Help?
You have to find a site with something like; what name is your phone number.
ReplyDeleteSome kind of converter.
thx again hehe
ReplyDeleteFor 9a I think I need the first letters of the countries, but nothing works.
ReplyDeleteHaving problems with;
Nogo (can be Indonesia or Malay).
Scultone (can be Sardinia or Italy).
Zilant (can be Slavic, Tartar or Bulgarian)
Cuelebra (can be Asturian and/or Leonese)
And Drac wasn't even on wiki, but on another site I found Catalan (so can also be Spain).
(sry was having dinnner)
ReplyDeleteStill can't find the "nickname" for 8 Egg
Tried ot** , oe***, si****** m** and variations.
POP lvl 9!
ReplyDelete9a :)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletelvl 10 :)

ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.

ReplyDeleteLol, was really overthinking. Thanks Clee.

ReplyDeleteOM.. hate rebuses. Send me and email as well. :)
ReplyDeleteLol, didn't refresh. So I was right about rebusses. But thought the first would be Las Vegas (just the card).
ReplyDeleteI was able to think about jackson but wyoming??
ReplyDeleteIf pushed it too far Clee :)
About the ready,set.. I googled the city+ this phrase and found something about baloon races? Hehe

ReplyDeleteWell 1:15 AM here.
ReplyDeleteGonna sleep and look at it tomorrow.
Seems it's gonna be a long level.
So far no great ideas about level 11a.
First picture (Eden, Snake, Eve, Apple?)
Second picture (Teeth?)
Third picture ?
But as I understand, it's everytime city and state, right?
And didn't refresh again.
ReplyDeleteThought it was only American cities.
So it is city and country?
Anyway, like I said, time to sleep.
Good luck and have fun.
Be back tomorrow.
Hehe clever but very impossible to solve :)

ReplyDeleteGot letters from initials of hightlighted words but what I got does not make sense.
ReplyDeleteTried anagramming, nada
Hi! I'm stuck at 11e rebus. Anyone here?
ReplyDeletestuck on 11a.
ReplyDelete@jbg, for 11a
ReplyDelete1) What they commited
2) The space, what it is called
3) What it is, 2nd word
Everybody seems to be very far ahead ! It's the morning here. I'm still on level 5 and going to read the comments again in order to solve this stupid keyboard puzzle.
ReplyDeleteI know the question for level 5 and even the answer http://realinfos.wordpress.com/2010/04/04/un-volcan-sous-marin-menace-le-sud-de-l’italie/ but it doesn't work (the name of the volcano begins with an M).
ReplyDelete@Pascale, If you are still stuck look at right of each one.
ReplyDeleteFaltu, thank you, I'm still here and stuck. I must be very stupid, I don't even understand what you mean. The name of the volcano is here, too : http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/03/30/experts-undersea-volcano-may-collapse-cause-tsunami/ but this is not the required answer ! That doesn't make sense for me.
ReplyDeletePascale, If I remember correctly that was the level with the keyboard clue?
ReplyDeleteSorry, Pascale I was playing a live escape game, so didn't notice you have decoded the question.
ReplyDeleteIt is here:
http://www.crystalinks.com/volcanoesunderwater.html
If you search google for exactly the words in the question it is the first hit.
Faltu,
ReplyDeleteFor 11E
The first picture is a 'bar'
The second picture, the dogs have been 'bad'
The third picture, there are 2 letters on the CD.
Thank you S-t, was struggling with bar and mistook the third one as X.
ReplyDeleteBtw, there was a nice escape game posted I was playing it since morning.
!!f was easy. Now on 11g. How far am I to catch up S-t?
ReplyDeleteI didn't find them all on my own. Clee mailed me and had to peek sometimes.
ReplyDeleteBut I think it's ok to post some hints here since Clee thought she made this level too hard.
11F
1) It's a 'Hun' warrior
2) A famous child actor
11G
1) What is the tusk/horn made of.
2) Not a special place, but the general name where water meets land.
11H
1) First name
2) Just a S.... (but forget about the E).
3) What's is that kind of Island called.
Faltu,
I'm stuck on 12a.
Don't have much time so I skipped the escape games (catch up on them later).
Now about 1 hour and then later again.
On 11h.
ReplyDeleteThanks S-t, didn't see your clues till 11h, now on 12.
ReplyDeleteHi Faltu, thank you again. Yes, this link gives the same answer as mine : marsili... I'm giving up.
ReplyDeleteOh, "mount" was required before the name of the volcano...
ReplyDeleteThe next answer is not ridge, nor ridges, nor volcanicisland... This game is desperating.
ReplyDeleteLol Pascale, I always get stuck for those silly reasons.
ReplyDeleteOn 12a.
I found the answer for this egg.
ReplyDeleteWell maybe some hints for others for the other sub-levels too;
ReplyDelete11b
1) It's an Eye (speak out loud)
2) Sound of a snake.
3) What famous Egypian God.
4) What letter
11c
1) What is the guy doing.
2) One of the words on the pic.
11d
1) It's a microbe, a virus, a ....
2) There are a lot of them.
Level 6 is difficult too. I've not the faintest idea for the picture, and I miss 2 letters for :
ReplyDeletefascitis and semiearly.
I think that the others are : N for cunning, P for bumper, D for addendum, T for tatting, EE for hexamethylenetetramine, A for bazaar.
What I did for 12a so far is taking the letters from the coloured words according to the number pairs, but they don't anagram.
ReplyDeletePascale,
ReplyDeleteN, D, A and T are correct. And you only need one E (I think that one was a mistake). And maybe bumer was bummer.
But it's way easier to find the picture with TinEye to find the movie and then use half the title as answer.
I found the title of the movie by using http://www.tineye.com/ but it doesn't help much.
ReplyDeleteGot 12a. You have to count letters from coloured words.
ReplyDeleteS-t go to univaersal anagram.
