Escape Grim Asylum is a new escape game created by Selfdefiant for Melting-Mindz.com. You and a friend snuck out of the house. He dared you to go inside of the Grim Asylum for five minutes. You went in, after a few minutes you were ready to leave but can't. The door is locked by some strange force. Now you must find a way to escape! Good luck and have fun playing!Play This Game

Yes, waiting all day for a new game, what a supprise it's a SD game. Best of all. Played some old Loom escapes, they were great too.

SwissMiss, in a book there is a color code (stripes). Match the order of the colors to the shapes you have seen on the walls. It works just fine. )))

I think the gems opened the door.
swissmiss---- the red is not a square... its a diamond
red square is a box you have to open using the A-4 B-6 C-3 clue
SwissMiss, the first shape is not square but diamond.
Still looking where to use crowbar.
I still have my SD, so I must have missed a place to use it, got the tile in "I" and grate in "T", and Drain in "G" do I use it anywhere else?

the shape box... use the book clue..the color lines and then compare the colors to the shapes you have found.. example red diamond

really great game @Selfdefiant! I needed help finding the last green wedge piece that was hiding in the wall, and of course, the order of the buttons to push in D.
Only had 96 orbs in the end -frustrating!
@Danielle, I only wrote down the location of yellow (J), Green (A) and orange (T) gems. I think Red was the one in the toilet. Sorry I can't remember blue!
Anyone figure out why the button code was YBROY? Was the BRYO in the book a mistake?
The blue gem is under a grate in V. You open it with the crow bar that is in W. The purple key is in V in a drawer in the back....

OK here's a list of What's Where
Be forewarned, I only found 96 orbs!
A: 3 orbs, Green gem (behind a brick in the wall)
B: 4 orbs, Green Piece for puzzle in E, Green Star
C: 5 orbs
D: 3 orbs, MAP, O,Y,R, B buttons (enter in correct order to get White gem), site for Blue gem placement
E: 5 orbs, clue to use in P (Green, Red, and Blue dials), press buttons on either side of window to get silver disk to place Green Pieces found in B, F, G, and N. Once all four pieces are in place, you get the Crystal Ball that lets you travel by clicking a room on the Map.
F:4 orbs, Green Piece behind panel in wall on stair landing.
G: [Need Gold Key from P] 3 orbs, site for Purple Gem placement, Green Piece in sink drain [need SD from R]
H: 4 orbs, use Plunger from O to get Red Key for A
I: 4 orbs, loose tile above bath - use SD [from R] to get Blue Key for Q
J: 4 orbs, Yellow Gem in towel dispenser
K: 5 orbs, B-6 clue on wall.
L: 4 orbs, Arrow puzzle on light switch on left [use clue from S] gives Green Key for T.
M: [Need Silver Key from Q], 4 orbs, Purple Star clue, Clue Book on table at far right of screen, site for placement of Orange Gem.
Clue Book: Hint for order to press buttons in D (NOT correct, see spoiler below), Red Diamond Clue, Hint for solving box in W, Red Gem.
N:5 orbs, Green Piece under trash on floor.
O: 4 orbs, A-4 hint on wall, Plunger [use in H] site for placement of Yellow Gem.
P: 5 orbs, C-3 hint on wall, puzzle over fireplace on right wall to get Gold Key (hint in C)
Q: [Need Blue Key from I], 4 orbs, Yellow Diamond clue on wall, Lever Puzzle on wall [use clues from K, P, & O] give Silver Key [for M], site for placement of Red Gem.
R: 4 orbs, SD on floor
S: 5 orbs, Arrow Clue for puzzle in L.
T: 4 orbs, Blue Square clue, open grate above sinks with SD to get Orange Gem.
U: 4 orbs, site for placement of White Gem.
V: 5 orbs, Purple Key for W in drawer under trash, use Crowbar [from W] on floor grate to get Blue Gem.
W: 4 orbs, Crowbar, Puzzle box [use star/diamond/square hints + Clue book] to get Purple Gem, site for Green Gem placement.
Once all the Gems are in place, go back to E, then down and out!
SPOILERS:
Buttons in D to get White Gem: Y,B,R,O,Y
Arrow Puzzle in L: D, U, D, L, R, D.
Lever Puzzle in Q: A-4, B-6, C3.
Dial Puzzle in P: Green = 3 o'clock, Blue = 6 o'clock, Red = 9 o'clock
Shapes Puzzle in W: Diamond, Star, Square, Diamond, Star.
@zoz - Excellent!! I only found 96 orbs, and I went back specifically to find orbs, and still got only 96.

ARGH!!! I did the whole thing without help, except for the white gem. I've spent at least 30 minutes trying to find another clue since the book clue didn't work. Very frustrating that it was wrong and the only way to beat the game was to force the puzzle or cheat!

I really wanted to play this one. But it just ate up my processor. So much lag time between scenes and inventory placement. Probably a combination my machine and Chrome. I never found the green pieces in F or N and did not see the dial clue in E but found dial clue in C. I found green x2 in B and G. Nice game as always just can't continue with this one.
Well slap me. The page and inventory lag was because I had the page super zoomed (old eyes) and the green pieces are "under" things that have to be moved first. Great game!
Love these games too....alas only 96 orbs as well....oh well
why is it in these games, that you always get the orb when you are almost finished??
