First line for the number puzzle...

Complete number puzzle for those that need it:
82
912
x318
xx49
I don't understand the number puzzle, what am I supposed to do?
I have chisel, SD, pincers and crowbar and some pieces.
Where was the clue for the four digit number?
@Seawall, on the table is a red vise, when you click it, it shows a math equation
seawall - you have to move a tool to see an equation
jo-ann - you have to fill in the slots so numbes give totals horizontal and vertical
Jo-Ann, if the number is above the diagonal, you add across; if the number is below the diagonal, you add below. You have to have different numbers to get the sums vertically and horizontally, kind of like ken ken.
zazie - you need hammer - it is used with chisel
next to flowerpot on floor
I'm guessing my hammer is behind the number puzzle? I could cheat and use the numbers, but I want to learn how to do it myself... any teachers out there?
crowbar is used on that wooden-horse-type thingy (saddle)
Thanks @SM and seawall, will try it
Thx SM i just wanted to ask this lol.
jo-ann the solution is given above - if you look at the puzzle you see on the left is a ten - so the two numbers to fill in to the right have to add up to 10 (8 and 2) - if the number is above (like the 17) then that column has to add up to 17
look at the solution and it should be clear
zazie - just trust my psychic powers lol
And out too !!
OUT Very Easy this time
Thanks Jo-Ann and SwissMiss for the vice tip!
Yay! Almost got the number puzzle by myself! Next time I will!
Where do you use the tongs!
Jo-Ann,
On the wheel.
ok, apparently I already used the tongs because I have all the puzzle pieces and am out... lol
Thanks @s-t! Hi btw :)
Thanks Seawall, got number puzzle
from first line that you posted,
Yea gettin better.
Morgan, you're welcome, this is the first one I've solved by myself. LOL
Now if I could just figure out how to solve those dratted ghost leg puzzles.......
Lol, hi and bye Jo-Ann (got to go).
Anyway some other hints for later players;
The coloutrs of the i's;
The dots of the i's are on the table (between the slicer and the saw).
The other parts of the i's are on the desk in the corner in the door scene.
The shapes colours;
on the picture on the wall
The letters;
On the vice on the U-shaped desk.
seawall - if you can do the number ones - the ghost legs are peanuts!
@Seawall, I need a lesson in those too. Gosh, they seem so simple and yet they baffle me
I dont find where to use tongs
thanks small-tool - I would have done that but my english on carpenter tools are somewhat limited and I cannot say you will find it on the thingy next to the thingy using the whatsit lolol
Found it!
I played Lights by Neutral before this,
its over two years since it was posted and enjoyed
looking at the comments then, its clear that the
EG team never leaves an Escapist behind. lol
Hi All! Jumping in!
where is screwdriver?
and the picture was of a hammer!!! lovely!!
unknown, it was on the desk, it was one of first things i picked up
very easy, out with no help. SM was right this was no real challenge :)
only think that made me decide to switch on my brain for 2 minutes was the bit with the chisel (Why did that still stick in the soil? At first I had thought it's a gfx bug (LOL)
